Description of Work: Service furnace. Diagnose periodic no ignition. Excellent service. Diagnosed issue and cleaned a dirty sensor. Previous provider always just replaced the sensor. Thanks for saving me some cash.

Description of Work: Just had the furnace checked out for its annual inspection. The check-up ($65) went well or so he said that things were fine and changed the filters. But right after he left the furnace kept coming on constantly and shutting off. This was no doing this before the inspection. Another person came out and said we needed a new regulator or something to that effect and would cost $260. Not sure what happened...almost too much of a coincidence.

Description of Work: Great guy who came to service my furnace. He offered tips on how to keep my furnace running smoothly and answered questions about my air conditioning system. Very professional and knowledgeable and will call Metzger's again.

Description of Work: Metzger's installed a new central air unit to replace my old one. I got estimates from 4 different places in the area and they came in with the lowest price. The technician came out and did all the scheduled work, even though there was a thunderstorm at the time. The job was clean and looked nice. The technician was very polite to my Mother in law who was the one at the house at the time. | |There were a couple of things that weren't so great though. | |-The technician was supposed to come back the following afternoon to remove the pump (he was purging the lines of the old coolant) and never showed up. I had to call and have them send somebody else out at 6pm. | |-The supervisor or crew chief or whoever he was showed up at the end of the day, after the tech was finished installing the unit to give my mother in law the final bill and when proceeded to hover over her while she wrote out the check and then stated "I usually get a tip when I finish a job". She thought he was joking and laughed at him. He then clarified that he was not joking and stated that he just left a house where he got a $20 tip. This is very strange and in my opinion very rude. The technician was the one doing all of the work and in the rain too. This guy comes in and hands her a piece of paper and he wants a tip. I've never heard of such a thing in my life! This was a job that they bid on and his pay was included in the cost of service. If this was a tech who had to come at the last second for an emergency visit, I would give a tip but not for a job that was scheduled with a prearranged price. | |-Not everybody is like this gentleman though. I tried to tip the tech who came out on the 14th, to remove the pump from the lines after the original tech forgot to show up and he refused the tip because it's "his job". I hope Metzger's reads this because if this guy continues to go around and try to shake extra money out of little old ladies he's going to hurt their good reputation.
