Lyster did a great job! Fast and very professional. The crew was friendly and punctual. They took 2+ days to complete the big job and the heat was unbearable. Each day they cleaned up and hauled the "stuff" away, so my house never looked like a work zone. When the work was completed, everything looked the way it did before they came...except the beautiful new roof.

Our first experience with Team Lyster was in the fall, 2011, when rain water decided to dribble out of recessed lighting in an upstairs bathroom. We called and Nick, the team "technician" arrived in a very short amount of time. He diagnosed, took pictures to document the situation, and provided the repairs required all within three hours of our initial phone call. In addition, he suggested we think seriously of replacing our roof (it was only 27 years old) , but thought we would safely get through the winter. We collected several bids on this project. We decided to choose Lyster Contracting, Inc. The work is now complete. Through out the entire process, we have been impressed with the service at all levels. The estimate was prepared by Scott who was professional, knowledgeable, and puctual. The installation crew led by Lance, was efficient, sensitive to landscaping, punctual, and extremely diligent with disposal of all old or excess material. Upon final inspection, Nick spotted something that was not to his satisfaction and promptly returned to "tidy up". We are extremely satisfied with our roof and recommend Lyster Contracting , Inc without reservation.

They replaced some soffits and made some repairs on my roof for me. They also installed a couple of new windows. The windows cost approximately $400 each and they were double pane windows. I was very pleased with the company. They came and did the work and you could not even tell they had been here. They cleaned up very well. The work they did looks fabulous. The price was reasonable.

They were excellent in every way. The workers were very polite and the person giving me the original estimate was honest and didn't try to push anything on me. They cleaned up very good after themselves when the work was finished.

Everyone showed up as expected. Completed the job as agreed. They did a great job of keeping debris out of my yard.

I have been attempting to get a contractor to quote and repair an issue I have with a large skylight with a broken frame. After experiencing a no-response from another contractor, I attempted to engage with Lyster. My initial call was quite pleasant and we scheduled a time for the estimator to visit my home. On that day, the estimator did not show up at the specified time. I called and found that he had forgotten the appointment because it had been written on a piece of construction material and not in his appointment book. He apologized and promised to come out immediately, which he did do. Once he arrived, the two of use whent up on the roof and he examied the area and took some measurements, etc. We also looked at issues inside the home under the affected area. The estimator was very pleasant and professional. The estimator then said he was not sure if Lyster could do the work, but he would work that out and either get me a quote or recommend some other company for the job. I heard nothing for two weeks, and finally called into Lyster. The person who answered apologized and said they would get that person back in touch with me. I never heard from them again. As a side note, I also had some drywall ceiling work to be done that was not related to this job. The Lyster estimator recommended someone he had done business with. I called that contractor immediately, talked to him, and was told I would get a return call. Never heard from again.

I was very pleased with them. His name was William Fitzsimmons. The overall experience was good. I had to call to make sure they received the check because I didn't hear back from them.

Everything went great. Very pleasant and professional.

We are under contract right now. They have done the roofing and scheduled for siding next week. I've been in phone contact with them a couple of times last week. They did the roofing on July 20th and finished on the 21st. It was a pretty straightforward roofing job. Their price is like anywhere else, it's where you get what you pay for. Their salesmen were able to identify things that were not identified by other vendors. I had more of a comfort level with the sales person. Initially they were significantly higher than the others but the salesperson was able to work with us on different aspects so that we still had the same quality of job. They were able to bring the price down where we were comfortable with the price. They were still higher than our lowest person but because of the presentation and thoroughness of the bid I was personally more comfortable giving that price. So far they have met my expectations because I have high expectations. They came when they said they would, they cleaned up after themselves. When I come home I would talk to the guys working on the job briefly. They were very friendly and responsive. So far it's been a very good interaction. I could have gotten a lower bid from one of the other vendors but one of the reasons I choose to go with this one is because on the roofing they are certified with certain teed. They mixed and matched products and they used all certain teed products. It is a roofing system I paid for versus one of the other vendors who I'm using the shingles from. There were little points to me that stuck out in the presentation. I had done my homework and this was commented by the sales rep. When we talked about things I knew what he was talking about. When he said he put some sockets in one and in the other diesis he put spinal sockets, I went on the internet and researched what I could find to help to determine what was best. These were things that increased my comfort level and that was why we choose to go with a higher price bid. Obviously we would have liked to have paid less but I was purchasing their services well and I felt more comfortable with them. They got the roof done and on the other aspect of the bid, we needed some work done to increase our attic insulation and they've been very good about that which will be part of the siding project. I was always been able to get a hold of my sales rep. I got his phone number and he picks up the phone whenever I call him.

I wanted an approved Certainteed roofer and received a quote from them last year, it was the lowest of 3. Called them this year, I needed the shingles replaced within 2 weeks because of the insurance time requirement. They came out within 2 days and re-quoted (same cost as before). Within a week the job was done (in one day, 2 crews). No problems and no surprises.

Orginal installer of skylight was called about leak and they stated that it was a roofing problem not theirs.\ We contacted Lyster Roofing and their technician (Nick) caulked the flashing around the skylight and stated that if we had andy problems to please call. During the last storm the skylight leaked again and we contaced Lyster again. Nick responded and stated that the window was not sealed properly. He removed the window and resealed the window that their company did not install. What a great company and what honest enployees.

Never got beyond a missed estimate appointment (on their part).

WE CALLED A COUPLE OF COMPANIES FOR ESTIMATES FOR GUTTER GUARD REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR AFTER A SIGNIFICANT STORM AND LYSTER CONTRACTING CAME RIGHT OUT TO LOOK THINGS OVER AND GIVE US A WRITTEN QUOTE. THEY CAME, THEY WORKED AN CLEANED UP AND FINISHED IN A TIMELY FASHION. WE WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

I think they are a little high but are a very honest company. I don't think they would come up with extra charges like some other companys do. I like them. They were very thorough.

We have a small house with a very basic roof. When I told him that we were thinking about doing the tear-off ourselves to save money, the man told me that then it might not even be worth it for his guys to take the job. He also told me that there was a third layer of shingles on our roof that would need to be torn off and so his estimate might be more than others for that reason. (It was.) He was the only guy that examined carefully enough to discover a third layer. But when I called the other two companies to ask them if they'd charge extra if they found a third layer of shingles, they both said no.

I recently purchased a property that had 2 houses and both needed new roofs immediately as they would not had made another winter. Lyster was seleced after competitively bidding 3 contractors for the work. Lyster was low bidder (very very close) but appeared to be the most qualified. I needed them to start immediately after award of contract. Lyster was absolutely terrific throughout the entire time they were there, including showing up with a full crew exactly as promised. I believe the work was much more difficult then they anticipated as a 50 year old cedar roof is a very difficult tear-off. They crew was tremendously professional throughout the time, cleaned up every day, never missed a day and worked their tails off. From a quality standpoint, top notch. No cost/money issues at the end, everything was exactly per the contract. Lyster gets a very strong rating from me and as a Mechanical Engineer, I'm a tough grader.

Awesome, the crew was polite and professional. Roof was done with craftmanship evident.
