Noticed pump had malfunctioned, basement was flooded @ 245. New pump installed by 430.

He was honest and his price was very reasonable. The quality of service was very good.

They did a very good job. They were on time, efficient, and got the job done. Their price was not on the low end but it was reasonable.

They worked out good. They did a fabulous job, were here when they said they would, were neat, and the system works as a feather weight.

We had a toilet jammed with paper towels that the plunger couldn't clear. we had dripping single valve faucets. Neither was an emergency. The technician came as schedule the day after we called and fixed both problems very quickly and tested repeatedly to make sure everything was OK. A good experience.

Great Lakes Plumbing was great, their attitude was really helpful and they left the place very clean. They are very good people to work with. They answered any questions, showed me how to use it and what the features were.

I was perfectly satisfied that the job was well done and had been performed correctly. I was told if it didn't work i would probably need a new facetet but it appears to be working fine. i am pleased. I am always surprised at the price but service fees get tacked on and companies usualy take a profit on the parts. but that is common with all companies. All and all it was fair. i never got the feeling i was being taken advantage of.

Response to my email inquiry was fast and scheduling a service call was quick and easy. Ken was punctual, courteous, professional, clean, fast, and did the job right. He started around 8:30 a.m. and was finished at noon. I am now a loyal customer. I gave a B for price simply because all plumbing and electrical work gives me sticker shock.

I called the office at 8:00 am and got their 24 hour answering service. They said someone would call me right back and they did! They made an appointment to come right out and were at the house by 9:30 a.m. The technician they sent was obviously a skilled plumber as well as personable and professional. He got right to work and found another small leak in the same area. He had the bad pipes cut out and new put in less than 2 hours. I am very impressed and will definitely use them again.

I bought a lakefront home December, 2012 knowing there were water issues. The water was brown and smelled bad. The ancient water softener was useless and the water heater on its last legs. Also, galvanized pipes were used when the house was built in the 1950?s so it needed to go. I waited until now to write a review to be sure things are working as well today as the day Great Lakes Plumbing did their work. They are. Great Lakes Plumbing knew what to do to solve my water problem for good. They installed an iron screen, water softener, water heater and replaced the galvanized pipes in a day. A long day, yes, but what a relief to have pure clean water. The guys were polite, professional, and efficient. They took care of the details, for example covering the floor in my basement rec room to keep it clean. Their pricing seemed a bit high but it?s worth it to solve the nasty water problem I had. I?m very glad I called them.

My garbage disposal had stopped working. I called Great Lakes Plumbing and they set up a time to come out the next day. I received a quote to replace the garbage disposal with a similiar model. The service person called the next day and said he could come a half hour early which worked good for me. The service person recommended a new disposal. His quote to do it was higher then the phone quote but he honored the phone quote. He worked quickly to replace the disposal and the new one works great. Overall I was satisfied with the work completed, however I felt the amount charged was high. I believe I would have been better off purchasing a garbage disposal from Home Depot and then paying them to install it.

When I first called a human voice actually answered. They seemed to be flexible as to coming out anytime it was convenient to me. They came out as scheduled. He was here about 3.5 hours. Had to leave at one point to go get a part. The job got done.

Our water heater would not stay lit. Great Lakes came out to investigate, and informed us the furnace was fine, but our meter was busted. In the ten minutes they diagnosed this we were charged the $130. However, we were told if it required further attention by them they would come back out with no service charge. The meter gets fixed, and then every time the heater turned on there was a BOOM! Great Lakes told me they'd come back out, but I was going to get charged. After going back and forth I told them we were no longer interested in their services. The vendor of the heater came out and repaired it. We have since entrusted our service needs to Experienced Plumbing without issue.

I was initially pleased with the professionalism and approach to the estimate and proposal process and believed the price to be fair for the requested work. The company was organized and called the morning of the service appointment to us know they were coming. Unfortunately, when the service professionals arrived they discovered something that had been missed during the estimation process that was going to add cost and an impact on the way some of our plumbing lines were run. It was more frustrating than anything else as the work had to be done to bring the plumbing up to code. Felt that it should have been caught during the estimation process. Service professionals were very polite and thorough and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. I am very pleased with the result and recommend this company without hesitation.

The plumber needed to make an opening in the dining room wall and put in a shut-off valve and add a cover for the opening. It was all done in less than 2 hours and I am very safisfied with the results.

We recently purchased our home. Based on our home inspection the water heater was quite old and its venting was not up to current standards. Several maintenance items were also identified in the report and after we moved in. Based on Angie's List reviews we contacted Great Lakes Plumbing. Jim came out on time that same day to review our needs. He explained situations in ways that made sense and provided the necessary options. He delivered the estimate on schedule. After reviewing the estimate and talking further with Jim we agreed to what was to be done and set a date to perform the services. They arrived on time on the date of service. They diligently worked on the big items on the list (water heater and changing out some galvanized lines to PEX piping). Those tasks took longer than anticipated. Tom scheduled the remainder of the work for a couple of days later. He arrived on time and completed the work efficiently. Overall we are pleased with the work. Everyone was friendly and professional. We recommend Great Lakes Plumbing. As for the "B" on price this project was expensive. However, based on past experience (other vendors, other homes), it seemed reasonable. All plumbers are expensive....

Everything went well. Tom was able to change out our fixtures quickly and without any trouble. When I called to schedule the appointment I had also asked that they address a leak on the back flow unit for our lawn sprinkling system. The person that they sent to do the work was not certified to do that so we were not able to get this work completed. He explained that he was the only one that worked there that was not certified and he offered to have someone else that was certified reschedule. I had already taken a 1/2 day at work and thought that this was inconvenient. I wish that they would have sent someone that was able to complete the work since I had requested this service at the time of scheduling. Overall, I was happy with the work that he did perform and the service went smoothly.

I called Miranda at Great Lakes at the end of day, and she scheduled me for the next afternoon since it wasn't an emergency. Ken was the technician that came. He was on time, quick, friendly and professional. We will definitely use Great Lakes again and I have no issue recommending them to anyone with plumbing needs.

Eldon was here within an hour of calling and diagnosed problem quickly. He performed all repairs in an professional and expediant manner.

After finding a rather large pool of water in the corner of my crawlspace, I assumed my sump pump was not working. When Don arrived, the checked the crawl space and determined that the water was coming down a wall [which is enclosed with an Ayers Water System] from a vent plug, which had to be the only way the water could have gotten on top of the "cover." He checked the functioning of all plumbing in the house; went on the roof and let remaining water out of the vent and plugged it as noted above. Great Lakes called me within the "window" for service to let me know exactly when Don would arrive. They woman who made the appointment and who called me about Don's arrival was friendly, courteous, and helpful. Same for Don.

Had an urgent problem with a leaking hot water heater and sent Great Lakes a message via Angie’s list email provider function. Sent this message around 10 pm Wednesday and Jim called me at 7:30 am Thursday morning, a very pleasant surprise. He asked a few questions regarding my water heater and symptoms so that his team would have the right equipment on the truck. They arrived 40 minutes earlier than Jim’s noon estimate. The two man team were both very upfront, honest and professional and very pleasant to talk to. I had a few other small plumbing problems and before deciding on the type of water heater, they offered to utilize their time and work on those until a decision was made. I thought it was very considerate of them to offer to utilize their time, since I was paying for it anyway. I really appreciated their offer. Once the decision was made, the new water heater was installed in a couple hours with no problems and they took the old one with them. Overall, I couldn’t have been happier. The price was very reasonable considering they were at the house over 2 hours and significant portion of the bill was the cost of the heater itself. Highly recommend Jim’s team.
