Description of Work: I have used this provider before. They are very reliable. The plumbing repair was not as serious as I anticipated. I appreciated that Keith and Alex both put on booties when they entered the house. They educated me on how they diagnosed the problem and how to prevent future problems.

 + 0 moreI contacted another plumbing company for an estimate at 7:45AM and was transferred to the estimator's voicemail, who never returned my call. At noon, I contacted Great Lakes Plumbing and was immediately scheduled for an appointment between 3-5PM. The plumber, Tom, arrived around 3:45PM, but not before I received a call from their office informing me that he was enroute. Upon arrival, Tom got to work and completed the job in under an hour. He was competent and extremely professional.
Description of Work: Fixed a leaky water softener bypass valve by replacing the gate valve with a more reliable ball valve.

 + -1 moreWe had a leaky bathtub faucet that had been damaged (unbeknownst to us) by drywallers. The drywallers had tried to fix another problem with the faucet so they could fix the access hole in the drywall. In the process, they put a hole in a pipe and we had a terrible leak into the crawl space. Great Lakes Plumbing sent a master plumber who was able to find the leak and repair it without cutting into the freshly fixed drywall.

 + -1 moreIt went great! They were professional and on time. They figured out that the builder had used two different types of metal in the two pipes connecting to the hot water heater. Over time, this caused rust build up which caused hot water to greatly reduce flow out of the hot water heater.
