Actually came earlier than originally expected. He called first and showed up promptly. He was friendly and courteous. Very professional. Explained what he did afterwards and cleaned up. Very pleasant experience.

They are straight shooters. They don't try to scare you about getting things done by this time such and such is going to happen.

As a matter of fact, I found them on Angie's List. They were highly recommended on Angie's List and I took it seriously. These guys are fine. They know what they are doing. I have used them before. They sell water softeners too, but I bought my own. It was nice that they agreed to take the old water softener away from the basement, which nobody else wants to do, it would have cost me $ 100 to just get that thing out of there. I've had no problems. On price, they are not the lowest in the world, but I don't care because I know they did great work. Also, it includes taking the old water softener away. They were absolutely professional and punctual; they came when they said they were going to come. I am affirmative on using them again.

They did show up and they hooked up the range but it was much more expensive than I thought it should be. They did a couple hours worth of work. Two guys showed up and they were very, very nice and personable. But, that's not what I was looking for - I was looking for someone who was highly professional. They had a huge truck, which you would think had all kinds of supplies in it. But, they actually didn't have the fairly common flexible gas pipe that would go from the range to the vertical riser behind the range. It's a critical part that you would always need in this type of situation and I assumed that they would have it. My wife was luckily coming home at the right time and she had to stop at the hardware store to pick it up. So, that was kind of ridiculous, especially for the price being paid. Apparently they were both registered plumbers, but the one guy was on his first day on the job. He was basically learning on my gas range, which is a little scary. There were also five nozzles that they had to change. They were set up for natural gas and they needed to be changed for propane. There was one for the oven and then four for the burners on top. It took them a long time to do the four burners on top. They actually had to borrow my tools because they didn't have the right size tools. They needed smaller wrenches, which I thought was a bit odd. Then they tried to get out of the door without actually testing it thoroughly. I told them to wait and test it. We turned on the range and a huge 2 1/2 foot flame came out the side. They forgot to change the actual natural gas orifice. They finally got that changed. But, I couldn't believe I had to ask them to test it. Luckily, everything seems to be fine since then. But, for what I paid and for the sense of security I wanted for a gas hookup, I didn't have the best feeling with these guys.

The price depends on the project. It cost like $200 to replace some pipes underneath my toilet. They have also replaced all the drain pipes in my house, added some vents and also replaced the toilet which cost about $1700.

I was very pleased with the service. They were very quick to respond and come to do the repairs. The plumber also noticed a problem with the air pressure in our holding tank (we have well water) and quickly adjusted it for me. It could have resulted in very costly repairs if not corrected. He was professional and very helpful. I will definately use their services again.

It was a small job. They were fine on everything. I don’t recollect having any problem.

They explained what the problem was in great detail and explained what they did. I do not have anything to compare their price with. Their quality of work was good. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

Called at 10:00 am and Ken was here by noon. Repairs took an hour. They were fast, professional, and punctual.

EXCELLENT! The business has a heating/a-c division and a plumbing division so we had 2 different technicians there. I consider this a plus, more specialized trainin.

Simple. I called. They came promptly. Removed old water heater and replaced it with a new one. Replaced a couple of old valves to make sure system was up to modern standards. Work completed in a few hours. Very satisfied.

We requested and received a written estimate for all services to be performed (which was subsequently revised in written form to include two additional services). We had previously hired Great Lakes to do other plumbing work, which we were satisfied with, and given the estimate we received, we decided they should get the job. They recommended complete excavation of the driveway to get down to the main house-to-city-sewer line so it could be replaced, rebuilding the interior main line so that it would have modern (not 80-year-old) pipes, and installing new clean-outs on the outside of the house so that they could service the house's plumbing without coming inside with their equipment. The day before the job began, they called to confirm that they would be arriving the next morning at 8:30. They showed up promptly on the day agreed to and spent the first part of day one covering all parts of our basement and furniture with plastic sheeting since they would be demolishing concrete and sending dust into the air. They laid tarps in all parts of the house where they would walk. They placed plywood on the neighbor's lawn before dumping dirt on to it. While one man drilled out the old interior pipes, two men worked outside removing the asphalt driveway, hauling debris, and then sending a scope down the pipes to look at the pitch/angle of drainage of the existing main sewer line. Once they had the interior pipes free and cut away, the inside guy replaced them with new PVC piping, and then replaced our water hookups for the washing machine (which were frozen and unusable). Outside, they excavated a trench the length of the driveway, revealed then removed the existing pipe and began installing a new set of pipes. They installed two exterior clean-outs, one next to the house, one near the main city street, so that future maintenance will be much easier. They relaid the concrete in the basement in the places where it had been demo'd out that morning. They had a little trouble with the newly installed interior pipes, revealed the second day during a water test. When a join proved to be defective, they tore out that set of pipes and installed a replacement set. During the second day, they were able to replace all the removed dirt and compress the dirt (working slowly upward, so that the layers were really compacted evenly) so that the driveway pad will be flat and level when it is replaced. They restored the washer and dryer to their original positions, removed the plastic sheeting and tarps, took out all their equipment, and restored the driveway to usable flatness, assuring us that driving a car on top of it would have no effect on the pipes underneath until the concrete was laid. Both days, the men showed up early and then worked until 5 or 6, as long as it took to get the job done. On the third day, Jim Pelfresne came to our house to inspect how the work looked and to ask if we had any questions or problems with the overall job (we didn't). Great Lakes will get our plumbing business in the future.

Was told that a quote would cost $40.00. However if I went with their quote the amount would be credited to the bill. I had two quotes done by other contractors (who didn't charge for a quote) and neither was there for more than 10 minutes. $40 for that? No thank you.

My hot water heater was not working. Called Great Lakes and the same day had a tech out. He inspected the heater and determined the heating element was out. We checked with the manufacture and it was still under warrenty. Ordered the part, from the manufacture who overnighted it to us. Once we had the part called Great Lakes that morning and they were out later that day to install. They were prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. Would recomend them again.

He did not fix anything so I thought the service call price was a bit excessive. He was knowledgeable and gave me a few tips on how to fix it. He was very professional as well. I do not know if I will use them again, it depends on the situation.

They did a really good job. They came when they said they were going to come and got the work done at the price they told us it would be. They cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. We have no complaints. It was a good experience. They acted very professional and they offer 24-hour service. They returned my call right away. They came within a couple of days and they did exactly what they were supposed to do.

Everything went well. They were very pleasant on the phone, arrived on time, and cleaned up after themselves. We are pleased with the work.

Made an appointment over the phone. Plumber arrived on time with everything needed to do the job. He was in and out of the house in less than two hours and the charges were fair. I would recommend.

We had been having problems with back-up in the drain of our utility tub in the laundry room although it was not an emergency. I called in the morning and received a very friendly reception. A repairman arrived at noon and cleared the drain as well as installing a previously purchased new utility tub. The service was outstanding - he even carried the old utility tub out to the backyard so we could easily dispose of it. I gave a "B" rating for price only because plumbing is expensive but I do feel that I got excellent service and would call this company again.

Said the service charge was included in estimate, but it was not clear to me that it was. did not specify on bill the lenght of time the job took although the cost estimate was based on length of time to complete job.
