First, Joe returned my phone calls very promptly and was able to schedule an appointment just a few days after our conversation. He arrived on time, was very personable and took his shoes off upon entering the house (such a courteous thing to do). He fixed the pressure in my kitchen faucet which was TERRIFIC! Yaaaay! He happened to have a part with him to be able to fix the issue with my toilet, he unclogged my bathroom sink, ckd to see if my tub was clogged (it wasn't) and tried to fix the drip in my bathroom faucet. He couldn't get the hot water connection off and said if the drip ended up not being in the cold water line (in which he installed a new washer) then I would need a whole new faucet. Unfortunately, right after he left I noticed the drip wasn't fixed, so I will have to look into getting a new faucet. I don't have a water softener and he strongly recommended looking into getting a water softener. He explained that it would extend the life of my plumbing fixtures and the prevent the milky appearance of glassware from dishwasher use. He was at my home about 1 1/2 hrs. I will gladly hire Joe again, appreciate his good work and will recommend him to others.

Joe was awesome. He had an excellent recommendation for water softener. We were provided with a written estimate. He was able to get us scheduled for the work right away. The work was completed quickly and efficiently, exactly as was stated in the estimate.

The whole experience was great. Professional, punctual, and cost was exactly as quoted. He explained everything. No surprises. Worked efficiently and cleaned up all work areas. Will absolutely use again for any plumbing needs.

I had a leaking water heater so I signed up for Angie?s List and found Joe, the owner of Dependable Plumbing. He had remarkable reviews, which I believe he deserves. He was working on a job but took my call immediately when I called him on Monday. He expressed concern that I was losing 25-30 gallons/day, and he couldn?t come out until Thursday. I assured him that I could stay on top the situation with my water vacuum for a few days. Joe showed up on Thursday when he said he would, with a new heater based on a picture I emailed him of the old unit and the specifications label. Although we hadn?t discussed price over the phone, his estimate when he arrived was for $900, which is on the lower end of the range I was expecting. He got right to work replacing the heater I had installed 25 years earlier. My original plumbing was PVC, which wasn?t up to his standards, so he upgraded the connections to copper. I live in the country with a well that seems to deliver 90% water and 10% calcium. Joe managed to yank the old heater out of my cellar despite the fact that it probably contained 200 pounds of lime sediment, and hauled it away. He replaced it with a high quality Rheem Professional Series 40 gallon LP gas heater that is extremely efficient. The entire job took about 3-1/2 hours, including extra time spent on unexpected situations that Joe handled like the professional he is, on the fly. Joe honored his estimate of $900, and was quickly off for his next job. I would definitely recommend Dependable Plumbing and will give Joe a call the next time I need a plumber for a task that requires a professional.

Have not yet made our decision, but so far so good. Will post when we decide which way we are going.

Our two experiences with Joe went very, very well. He was punctual, very professional, friendly, and worked quickly with obvious expertise. Cost was very fair. His second trip to our home was a rapid response on a Sat night for which he did not charge any emergency rate. Pricing was very fair; we paid less than I had expected for both the scheduled and urgent work. I took the opportunity while he was in our home to ask about a couple over possible plumbing needs and he didn't hesitate to recommend not spending the money on something not necessarily needed, which was much appreciated. HIGHLY recommend. A real find for us if we need any future work!

Joe did an excellent job with everything we needed done! He came out and gave us a quote to complete all of the work that was competitive with everything else we had seen, but talking through the work built complete confidence that he was someone we could trust to do it right. For one of our issues with a gas line he could have easily sold us on a more expensive way to fix the issue but he was very honest about what he would do if it was his house and that was a much cheaper alternative. He did have to reschedule part of the work because he became quite ill, but he was very professional about it. Even though he appeared to be quite sick, he showed up as scheduled to complete the crucial work and asked to reschedule the rest for a later date. Because of the delay, he took some extra time to clean up some do-it-yourself plumbing work for us that didn't directly effect what we had hired him to do. It was clear that he took pride in his work and didn't want to leave any unacceptable plumbing in the area he was working...even if it wasn't his problem. Definitely our first call for any future needs.

Not well. I contacted Joe via email on Friday July 31st, and he scheduled me for Monday August 1st. Emailed me on August 1st and said he and his wife were both very sick. I responded not an emergency and just contact me when you are better. Never heard from him, so I contacted him on Thursday August 4th to see if he was better, and he responded no. Again, I said to contact me when he felt better, and I never heard from him again. I had unfortunately recommended him to other family members and friends, and now I'm sorry I did.

Joe was reliable and professional. He responded to my call right away and gave a very reasonable price. He clearly knows the trade and I would trust him with any plumbing work.

Joe came out to diagnose the problem very quickly, and then installed a new water softener for us. He went above and beyond what we had initially hired him to do and also fixed some minor issues we were having with water pressure, rerouted the plumbing from the softener, and even fixed a running toilet at no added charge. We are extremely happy and will definitely call Dependable Plumbing the next time we need plumbing repairs.

Joe was excellent. The old pipes were in much worse repair than we had imagined. He removed the old faucets and kept the areas clean while he was working . He installed the three faucets. They all work very well. He works very fast and is professional. He is also trustworthy and friendly. The areas and clean or cleaner and when he arrived. He continually uses his shop vacuum.

This review is part 2...part 1 was completed 5/13/2015 so you can read that review of his previous work on this job. Joe came back out after I finished the floor, ceiling, drywall and electrical in a basement bathroom which took me nearly a year. Joe never complained about the time between part 1 and part 2. He did a beautiful job of installing all the fixtures in the bathroom. Once again he also provided me a handy tip that I would not have thought of for installing the side splashes around the sink. I couldn't be more pleased with his work and highly recommend his services. Overall this last part (installing the fixtures) took him approx 3-4 hours. He went the extra mile and even volunteered to take the packaging for the vanity top and toilet with him which was so nice. I listed the price as zero since I listed the total price on the last review of 6000.

Everything went really well! Joe was on time the morning he was supposed to start work. We ended up having more work for him than initially expected and he still got everything done very quickly and his quality was great. We will be asking Joe to come back to complete more work for us in the near future.

Joe did his usual great job. Water softener died over the weekend. Joe came in Wednesday morning to replace it. He also fixed a toilet I have been having problems with. Two thumbs up.

Joe called me back the same day I left him a message requesting his service. He scheduled an appointment for an estimate that same week. He was punctual, professional and very knowledgeable when he came over . He gave clear direction on what the job was going to entail and the parts we needed to provide. He provided a cost estimate that day, I really cannot comment on the price having very little knowledge on the job - it seemed fair. We scheduled the job two weeks out due to some other commitments he had lined up before mine. We confirmed via phone the week of the date we agreed on that things were still on schedule. The day of the service he was in and out before I was out of work. He sent me a text letting me know he had finished the job and also followed up with a phone call later that evening after I had gotten home and was able to take a look at the bathroom. It looks fantastic! We are very, very happy with the work that was done and will definitely use Joe in the future. I would recommend him to friends and family.

My 30 year old water heater started leaking so I called Joe since he had done a small job for me a few years ago. I sent him a picture and he was able to give me an estimate. He wasn't able to come for a week so that was a small inconvenience to have to vaccuum up the water twice a day. Once the day arrived, he worked around my schedule and was prepared for the complications that arose during the replacement, including pumping out the old tank when there aren't any drains in the basement and replacing a valve. He is very professional, courteous and careful not to dirty or soil anything. He cleaned up when the job was done and didn't charge extra for any of the unanticipated work he had to do and stayed true to his estimate. He even gave me a small discount for leaving this review. I would definitely call him again for my plumbing needs.

Having had prior experience with this Plumber, and was quite satisfied with his work, I contacted him regarding winterizing a home we own that is currently unoccupied. Arrangements were made to have him look at the home which he did. We met at the home for his estimate of cost. Due to the fact that electricity was not available at the home at the time, he said he would bring his generator back and complete the work. Having not heard from him after about a week I contacted him by phone. He told me that his generator needed some minor work. I waited about a week and having not heard from him since our last conversation, I telephoned but got his voice mail and left a message. Subsequently I phoned two more times and left messages but none of my calls were returned.
