Description of Work: Asked for an estimate for re-roofing the house and after a thorough inspection the gentleman said that the existing shingles were good for at least another 2 - 3 years. He also sealed some small gaps near the chimney that he noticed and refused to take any payment for it. We will definitely use them in a couple years to do our roofing.

Description of Work: Adam from Advantage repaired several holes in my roof and soffit, replaced the wood, underlayment, and installed new shingles on roof. He completely replaced the water-damaged wood and built a new gable in front from scratch. He replaced the corners of my house with new fascia. Now perfect! The gable was so bad and rotted he had to totally tear it out and rebuild. Unbelievably perfect quality and workmanship. SO HAPPY. Basically brand new from top to bottom. So very happy with workmanship; Adam is such a great artisan, with such attention to detail as if we were doing it ourselves! But there is no way we could have done the job he did! I absolutely would hire Advantage again. Such great workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail. THANK YOU! We will be using them to replace roof in a few years, and any other thing I can think of that needs to be done! THANK YOU ADAM AND ADVANTAGE.

Description of Work: Cleaned off ice jam and deep snow from roof of house and garage. The office staff was very helpful in setting up the work and kept me apprised of any schedule changes. The only disappointment was the crew completely wrecked 4 landscape lights under the area they were working. Some of the other lights survived, but it appeared no effort was made to do no harm. I expected the big piles of snow on the sidewalk as I was warned, but I did not think I needed to say - don't wreck the lights. I subtracted the replacement costs from the bill, no follow up with company since then.

Description of Work: I got 5 estimates for a reroof job. I liked Advantage Roofing and Lyster because of the Certainteed 50 year materials warranty (plus 25 years on workmanship). This is the best warranty in the business and is only offered through these two roofers. I selected Advantage because they came up with a better solution for a problem area on my roof. (Lyster offered a slightly better price, but Advantage matched it). They diid an outstanding job, with excellent clean-up, and they were a very professional crew. I am very happy that I chose them.

Description of Work: I was set to hire Advantage Roofing but Lowes redid their bid and came in 1,500 less. Chris Fritz of Advantage Roofing is a class act and worked hard for our business. I wanted to use them, but in tough financial time, 1,500 bucks savings was too much to pass up. I truly hope I don't regret this decision.One of the factors for advantage roofing was the travel from Kzoo the Grand Rapids.....they would lose money on our roofing job if they matched Lowes quote.

 + -1 moreCrew arrived in the morning of scheduled date, spread large tarps over our deck and shrubs and had the entire roof stripped down to the wood by 11 AM. In the afternnoon they prepped the roof, (including flashing the chimney) and nailed up the shingles and continuous roof vent accross the top.
Description of Work: Roof was stripped down to the wood, felt installed and new shingles nailed up.

 + -1 moreWish we had never contacted them! My husband noticed right away that not everything was done that he had talk to them about and put in the contract. Never sent anything to us as far as a warrantee or guarantee of work. They didn't work with our insurance agent either. (Were told by our insurance agent, when he inspected the inside, that Tim Brown would tell him if they found more damage inside, only then would we hear back from him. Never heard back from him.) So we paid out of pocket. I should have looked for more information instead of stopping with your "A" grade (at that time!), now a "B". We would give them an F!
Description of Work: Despite having a detailed contract with Tim Brown about our needs and replacement of 3 windows after water had leaked through the side roofing into the inside of house. They had to return to do omissions, inspection of wood under defective overhangs on the inside/outside of the windows, where they found "punky" wood and had to replace. Then when we hired plasterer to come to plaster inside, he found that they left rotten wood inside, above and around the sides of window, that he said they couldn't have missed seeing while replacing the window. (The plasterer said it was a miracle the window hadn't fallen out!) This occurred over several months and we couldn't get any admission of neglect on their part in this, even though they were to "inspect" and "repair" any damage to the walls - turned out only one window had this damage, but we feel we were taken advantage of by this company and they wouldn't even give us the courtesy of admitting to NOT doing the job contracted. Whatever has happened to customer service!!!!!

 + -1 moreThey are a local company. They came out right away and gave me a bid. They sat down and walked through all the pieces of it. I asked later if they could come down a little because I had a bid that was a little lower. They did come down to match the bid. I was impressed with the level of detail. They were willing to sit down and explain to me what needed to be done. They indicated a rough time frame on when they would be able to get over here and they indicated how I would be contacted. They did contact me in the time frame they said they would. They were actually able to come out to do the roof about 1 1/2 weeks earlier than they had anticipated. The crew did a very good job. They were done in 1 1/2 days. They cleaned up very nicely when they were done. There was no damage to my driveway, yard or shrubbery. They did a quality job on the roof and I've had no leaking since then. I was very pleased with them. The price was a little high but it was a tear off so it was understandable. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: I used Advantage Roofing to do a tear off and put a new roof on the house.

Description of Work: We asked for a quote to replace the roof on our home. We golfed with the owner and his wife. He came out and checked the roof over and said he would get us an estimate. We never received the estimate and never heard from him again. I definitely would not recommend the company to anyone.

 + -1 moreI had multiple estimates on my roof and went with Advantage Roofing, they were not the cheepest option but I felt best with them as my choice. The salesman was ontime and the job started when he said it would, a two layer roof was removed. The crew was profesional and worked very hard. I was most impress with their willingness to work into the evening with lights on thier heads to finish the job on time. They also did not have a raidio blaring like the roofers did on the house down the road.
Description of Work: Two layer roof tear off, on my Cape Cod style house. New 50year shingles were installed.
