New Image Remodeling

It went super well from start. Mark and Adam helped us with the basic design and decisions on size, windows, flooring, roofing, heating/cooling, etc. This was in the fall and they started digging as soon as the ground allowed for it in the spring. COVID-19 shut things down for several weeks in March/April, but as soon as the lockdown was lifted, they were back on the job and never let up again. New Image subcontracts with a fair number of other people and firms, but, like Mark and Adam, all the subs were professional, efficient in their work, and friendly. The room they put up is beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. We love that they encouraged us to go with 6" studs and high quality windows, because now, even when it was 95 degrees a few weeks ago, the room cooled off almost immediately and the mini-split they put in seemed hardly to be working at all. We love the room and had a wonderful experience with New Image Remodeling. We'd be very happy to work with them again and strongly recommend them to others.

Mark and his team of professional painters did an excellent job of painting both the interior and exterior of our home. Their pricing was very competitive, workmanship was superior, communication was both timely and responsive, completion of the project was on time, and they were a pleasure to work with. I have recommended them to my friends without hesitation for their home remodeling projects.

Mark was great to work with, and the deck turned out fantastic. We can't wait to enjoy it when the weather is better.

My wife shared a review of our previous basement renovation project with New Image and we came back for more! Adam and his crew redid two bathrooms in our home and we couldn't be happier. Not only is the work product superior, but the project was finished on time and significantly under budget (by $2,500!). Couldn't be happier.

Love the results! We had transom windows installed in the bedroom, two bathrooms combined to make a bigger master bath, a pantry created, new slider door installed, a hood vent installed, and electrical updating. It took two weeks longer than anticipated, and we overshot the budget. Adam and his crew were family members by the end of the summer!

I can't say enough good things about Adam and his team. Adam was great at keeping me updated as to the progress/timing of the work. The quality of work is great, the cleanliness while the project was underway was impressive, and the over timing to complete the project was as told. I had 2 other LARGE COMPANIES tell me the job couldn't be done the way I wanted it for different reasons. Mark Minnesma (Owner) did the job the way I wanted by going behind the wall and installing very sturdy backing so the bars will be safe for me to grab onto. This job, and other work his company has performed for us, has always been done in time or early. They have ALWAYS shown up for work or meetings ON TIME, They always CLEAN UP after themselves as if they weren't even here! The pricing of all work that has been done has been upfront, and all come in at the agreed upon figures or even a little less in some circumstances. I would strongly recommend mark and New Image remodeling for any work that needs to be done inside or outside of your home. Give them a call you will not be disappointed!!!

Wow! Great experience! I have never worked with a contractor before but NIR came highly recommended. I did not even know exactly what I wanted but had a few ideas of how it could tie in to the existing trim/woodwork. Mark and his team just took it and ran. He has a wonderful team that I had no qualms about having in my home as they performed the work skillfully and professionally. He was always available to answer questions. And continues to respond to any followup questions.

Mark, Tom, John and crew did a fantastic job from start to finish! We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome! We were given a week by week update throughout our 10 week project. The guys were here everyday, always working on the to do list. They stayed on schedule and stayed in constant communication throughout. We really could not have been happier! I would not only recommend using them, I would HIGHLY recommend them!

The job was completed within the designated time frame and for less than the original bid. Mark is easy to work with, professional, prompt, and an excellent communicator. We had a limited time frame in which to complete the job (before the start of the summer season). When we decided to change one aspect of the project, Mark accommodated our request and made alternate arrangements immediately to address the modification. Scope of project: Mark remodeled a bathroom, installed carpeting on 2 sets of stairs, repaired a plumbing valve in a 2nd story bathroom, installed Cortek flooring on 1st floor and refinished hardwood flooring on the 2nd floor.

We where very satisfied with their quality of work. Excellent communication throughout the project. Mark and Adam were great to work with. Any small issues that came up during the project were dealt will efficiently and professionally.

The whole process went great. We had tore out the existing basement and worked with New Image on the re-build of the basement. This included added a bathroom which did not exist before so it was quite the large project, Mark and Adam ere very responsive throughout and were patient as we made decision on materials, finishes etc. Each sub-contractor they worked with was very polite and friendly and the whole process went smoothly. We love the new basement. Would definitely hire again!

I was so pleased with the quality of work that Mark and his team provided. We did a basement remodel and Mark was able to take our plans and turn them into exactly what we wanted. When we were not 100% happy with one of the subcontractor's work, it was dealt with immediately (and without awkwardness). I also appreciate how nice and patient all the workers were with our dogs!

I cannot say enough about Adam R. and New Image! Adam and his team are Amazing!!! When I met Adam, I knew he was the guy for this job and he did not disappoint! Being new to Grand Rapids I was afraid I would not be able to find a contractor I could trust so easily, but Adam was the first quote I received and the results proved I was right with my decision to move forward with this team! Adam was able to see my vision and did a phenomenal job bringing it to life all while staying within my budget. Adam is knowledgeable and very Responsive. We had many diverse projects we wanted to get done this summer, but being new to the area we didn't have a service provider that we trusted - thankfully, NOW we do! Adam and the New Image team are top-notch. We needed a new roof, interior and exterior painting (porch floor and railings), and a remodel of a walk-out basement (new flooring, lighting, and paint). We had three different contractors/companies come out to give estimates. Right away, I trusted Adam above and beyond the others. He was extremely thorough during the estimate process, and seemed much more knowledgeable about our diverse projects than either of the others, pointing out details, asking questions, and explaining options that I didn't even know existed. His pricing was fair, as well, so we hired him, and are so glad we did. Adam's knowledge translated into results - we could not be happier with the work he and his team did for us. They completed the projects in a timely manner, even despite extenuating circumstances out of their control (weather, ill contractor, etc.), and despite the fact that we kept adding small projects/features to the work beyond the original contract. Adam and his team were responsive and courteous throughout the process. We have many more projects that we want accomplished over the next few years, and will be using New Image Remodeling without a doubt.

Mark and his team were great. After I experienced some flooding in my basement due to a burst pipe, Mark was able to fit my project into their already busy summer schedule. Communication was consistent throughout the project, and good suggestions were made in regard to flooring options. The following work was completed: replaced damaged insulation, demo and removal of old carpet and wainscoting, patched/replaced sections of drywall, walls painted, Coretec flooring installed, touch-ups on trim. Everyone who came in to work on the basement was punctual, polite, and professional. I'm very pleased with the quality of the finished space.

Everyone from New Image was super helpful! My wife was pregnant, and we were hoping to get a bunch of work done before the baby came. Mark was a great communicator, and he worked with us to make sure that the work was ahead of schedule long before baby's due date! The various timing of jobs (demo, flooring, ducts, drywall, windows) were coordinated really well which made this experience stress and hassle free. Many thanks to New Image! The service was amazing. I dealt with owner Mark. He is the most professional person I have ever worked with. He always answered my questions and responded within 24 hours. He provided me with company information and the different employees that came over to do the job were just as professional and the work they did was everything I hoped it would be. I will definitely use this company again and I could not be happier with how my bathroom remodel turned out.

My family recently moved to the Grand Rapids area, and purchased a new ranch home, which, like many newer one-story homes, had an open stairwell with a half wall going down to the basement. I wanted to get this stairwell fully enclosed and add a door for safety reasons. This was a project that had a lot of scheduling constraints - I had to get quotes while the house was still in escrow, and wanted the stairwell enclosure to be done as soon as possible after closing. Mark was extremely easy to reach via e-mail, was able to work with my (uncertain) schedule, and the job was started the Monday after closing. We were not yet living in the house while the actual job was being done, so I can't speak to the specific punctuality of workers from day-to-day, but everything was finished ahead of schedule and the house was left VERY clean. My husband and I even headed over with our shop vac the day after the project was completed, anticipating to spend the evening vacuuming up drywall dust, but there was hardly anything to clean! The workers were also very respectful of our property. Even though we were not yet living at the house, the majority of our belongings had been dropped off. I was a little nervous leaving all our stuff unattended in a vacant house with contractors going in and out all day, but there was no sign that anyone even so much as moved a piece of furniture. I did think the cost was a little high based on similar jobs I had done in my previous homes, but it was considerably lower (few thousand less) than the other quote we got, so I likely just had unrealistic expectations. I will definitely be contacting Mark when it comes time to finish our basement!
