The estimate was complete and the estimator was informative. Materials he offered were high quality and he gave us 3 different prices depending on the type of material we chose. Unfortunately all 3 prices were higher than the other estimates we received. We ended up going with the builder who put on our first roof 22 years ago. Professional and on-time. Had good ideas for problem areas

I would say they were prompt. Their estimator was straightforward, thorough, and not pushy at all.

Workers were on time, worked hard, and were very polite. There was no yelling and cursing on the job. The job boss kept us informed about the status of the job, what was going to happen next, etc. The job was started and finished on schedule. They cleaned up any mess every day. They were very respectful of our property. Two thumbs up!

He was very professional and thorough and friendly. I was impressed with their presentation. They price was way beyond what I wanted to pay for a new roof, so I went with another company.

The owner was very thorough in finding out what I wanted. The bid was very competitive. His crew was terrific. They were professional, showed up and took care of the property. They had challenges and figured out a fix for all of them. I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat.

We had a reoccuring problem with shingles slipping in one section of our roof due to incorrect installation at the time the house was built by previous owners. Above roofing responded quickly to our request for an evaluation of a fix and an estimate. Very reasonable pricing, and the owner was so confident that the recommended solution would work, he guaranteed the work for the life of the roof. Workers came on time, worked steadily, and cleaned up before they left. Very polite. All around excellent experience. Wouldn't consider going to another roofer in the future.

The came out to do the estimate, and then scheduled an appointment a couple of weeks later. A few days later I called to see if they could move the appointment up because of a storm forecasts and they did agree to come out earlier in the week.

Got an estimate from Robert,He showed up on time with all of his paperwork in order,references,insurance paperwork etc. What I liked about him was that he was straight forward about everything,did not to try to oversell,no pressure at all. The crew showed up on the day they said and always were polite and friendly,Not like the usual guys I have dealt with in the past. At the end of every day they cleaned up to where everything was almost spotless and at the end of the job I think it was cleaner than when they started(it took a week of nasty tearing off). They exceeded my expectations and I feel they went above and beyond to make sure every thing was right.

I would not only recommend Above Roofing, I would Highly Recommend them for any job. From the initial contact at the GR Home and Garden Show to the quoting process, and now with the crew that finished the complete job in 18hrs on a 29square roof, was outstanding. The whole team is very professional, upfront and thorough in going through the details. I had 6 contractors provide a quotation, ABOVE was the ONLY contractor to go into the attic and idenfitied everything looked good, except for bathroom vents that needed to be brought up to code. All the other guys would have nickel and dimed me on it. But they were upfront with everything. Also their walk around and quote process took almost 1 hour +, and they did it with me, I felt involved. Above was not the least expensive, nor were they the most expensive. You get what you pay for and you should always pay the "right" price, for a high quality job. There were no suprises. Now it hasn't rained yet, but I'm confident that if there is an issue, they'll be right back out to take of it, as many of the others have indicated in previous reviews. To me communication is key, and these guys know how to do it. Glen and is team was great!!! ALso, these guys were given a timeline to complete, be done by Thursday at 6pm, we're having a baby shower and guests will start arriving. They were supposed to start on Tuesday, but serious rain delayed the start to wed. They knew we had the shower on Thursday, before I even told the crew. They started at 7:30am on Wed, and just finished at 2pm on Thursday. The dumpster will be gone by 5pm. (18hrs) Well done. There dedication to cleanliness on the jobsite should also be commended. I hope these guys keep up this level of service.

Installation was in one day, as promised. They cleaned up all debris and were very professional.

When I scheduled the appointment for the estimate they e-mailed me a confirmation with a picture of the gentleman doing the estimate. I appreciated that. Tommy arrived promptly, was very professional and congenial. Seemed very knowledgable about their products and sky-lights in general. The two gentlemen who did the actual work also arrived promptly. They were also very professional. They took great care to protect interior surfaces as they worked. Finished job blended well with our interior, looked great from outside. They did an excellent job of cleaning up. Overall, we were very satisfied and would use them again.

They did a great job. They are Christian-oriented and they don't curse. They were on time and they are reliable. They don't smoke and stink up your house. The guy's wife is in the office and she is really nice too. The work has really turned out nice. They are really above and beyond what you expect. The price went up a little bit because there was a lot of water damage on one side of the house. They just made sure that everything was right. They were real pleasant to work with. They are good people.

They did a very good job of explaining the situation. There was no pressure in what we should typically do. I was impressed with the guy who did the estimate. They were prompt and did a good job.

They did the job for the estimated price. They were honest that we didn't need to replace more. I would use them again.

Not much to tell because I didn't go up to the roof to look - maybe spring! I obviously decided I trusted the company. The man who came to do the work, rang the bell and introduced himself. He also contacted me when he was completed.

Robert came to the house to estimate the work. I had another issue with ice damming on the roof (bigger job), so I am pretty sure he wanted me to have both done at the same time, therefore I think he quoted the smaller job a little higher to urge me to do all of it at once. I do understand, that is how business works. Overall, Robert was extremely nice and caring. He spent a lot of time giving me advise (that I asked for) and guiding me. He explained their company, and their practices very well. I am convinced that they are a very trustworthy company. My only complain is that the price was rather high for what needed to be done. Their worker spent about 20 minutes up on the roof. It was a strait forward fix. Too short of a time elapse to know for sure if it was completed correctly, but I do trust that it was. Having said all that. Future work will definitely be quoted by Above Roofing, but I have to leave the door open to competitive quotes due to the price.

The company sent someone out to give us an estimate within two days of our initial all. The company representative surveyed our roof, explained what the problem was and what the possible fixes were. We agreed to the less extensive plan for repair. The work was scheduled immediately, workers showed up on time, cleaned up their work and did an excellent job.

The initial consult meeting was very good, They were the only company to come with a copy of their insurance and license, as well as the options for shingles and information on the materials that would be used. The estimate was completed prior to the consultant leaving. The 'consultant' Jim, was also one of the roofers, so I wasn't talking with salesperson. He answered any questions we had. He also went out of his way to provide additional information being requested by our insurance company. (The insurance company made a few requests more than once and kept requesting additional details) Each request was complied with without question or complaint. There was a wait of approx 6-8 weeks the repairs to be made once the contract was signed. We were able to put down a very minimal deposit, as a consession to the wait, and we were informed in advance of the approximate wait time, as their schedule was full. The only issue we did have was that the measurements were not taken for the replacement skylight in enough time to consider custom ordering after we found out that the size and style of the broken one was no longer available. With the broken skylight as a part of a bank of 3, we ended up replacing a second intact skylight. Custom ordering would have required another 4-6 weeks (minimum) delay. Once the repairs started, the crew were there when they said they would be, and they did an excellent job of keeping the area clean of debris. We were also informed the the gutter and fascia work was generally outsourced. I don't know who actually did the gutter repair, but it was installed on schedule. It was done differently than the previous set up, but when we requested information on why, we were shown the reasons why. After the work was completed, we also requested some additional framing work on the interior of the skylights to make the remaining original skylights appearence match closer to the new ones. The work was completed without any question and was very satisfactory (Thanks Tom!) Overall we had a very good experience with Above Roofing. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I signed a contract and they are going to come in a couple of weeks to do the work. They were very professional and on time. They brought up a lot of things that I hadn't noticed.

I don't know what they could have done better. They showed up early, did a great job on the repairs, and cleaned up their mess. They were prompt, courteous, and professional.

I spent about $350 for their services. I really liked that they called me back promptly. Someone came out for an estimate the day that I called. I talked to Robert who is the owner of the company. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like they really wanted to help me. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

They showed up promptly. They did not try to sell me an expensive roof repair which other roofers had decided I needed. They also agreed that the roof did not have to be replaced. They said it just needed certain strategic repairs that could keep it going for a while longer. I got them from Angie's List. I think they are a good organization. There are many roofers in the Grand Rapids area that it's hard to understand who is the best by just looking at the ads. I would definitely use them again.

They did a great job of coming up with a solution. Their rates are very affordable and they were fair about the price adjustment with all the additional time they spent fixing problems they were not anticipating. I was very happy with them.
