The team did a great job. The estimator was very nice and knowledgeable. The crew was very efficient and worked the entire time they were on the job site. So far we are leak free and the roof looks great. I would highly recommend Above Roofing to anyone looking to replace their roof.

The gentleman that came out to our home for an estimate was professional and courteous. Pricing was fair and well explained. We decided to select a different contractors with a little bit different approach that I think will better suit our needs.

Great!! patched the roof and gave me options on the level of repair as well.

The customer service rep, Tommy, was very professional and truthful in his presentation of our roofing choices. He worked with us to meet our design needs. The actual installation was stretched out over 2 weeks due to a delay in the siding subcontractor's availability. A few months after the installation, we had an issue with the insulation in the roof. The owner of the company came out, viewed the situation and made it right by doing the work himself. He was very generous in meeting our expectations. I would recommend Above Roofing with the suggestion of going over the completed job with either the foreman or customer service rep to make sure everything is the way you want it - something everyone should do for every home improvement job!

Not much to tell - he fixed the flashing and we have had no problems for the last four years.

Above Roofing Inc quoted around the same price as the company we have gone with. We liked the other company's product better. I felt the representative was here far too long trying to sell the product. It was an hour and a half or something ridiculous. He was much more a salesman than a people person. He wasn't bad, he was just more the salesman. His product was fine, his prices were a bit higher - we just preferred the other company's product.

Above Roofing is a very professional organization and was very through in their estimate and educating us on the process.

They did very good. I was very pleased. I had questions later on in the year and they came back after everything was all done and checked stuff out. I was very happy about that because it seems most places finish the job and disappear.

An impressive and pleasant experience.

Everything went good the work was performed as described. My only concern was the clean up could have been a little better. I understand that it was a messy job pulling out the old insulation from the soffits but there was a lot of it left around the house. I did not contact the company about the situation as I understand it was late and there were other complications with the job that took a lot longer than expected and they did not charge any more than the quote I was originally given.

Everything went great! They arrived right on time to give me an estimate for the work. The estimate was through and accurate and easy to understand. They were at my house when they said they would be there to do the work.

Above was middle of the road in terms of quotes for the skylight replacement, but they carried the brand we had and their sale associate Jay was very professional. Plus their lifetime guarantee was a huge plus. Once our order was placed it took about a week for the unit to come in. The repairman who came out was quick, professional, and worked extremely hard in almost 100 degree heat to get the job done in one day. After installation you could never tell the shingles had all been replaced and work was done. After the next heavy rain we still noted some leaking. Jay promptly returned and inspected the installation himself. He noted there could also be a leak up higher on the roof at a vent pipe. Jay himself replaced the flange around that vent pipe that very same day, replaced the surrounding shingles, and reapplied tar to the vent pipe. After the next rain, no more water in the house. The previous skylight was still faulty as the seal was not properly installed, so we actually had two leaks. Above Roofing went above and beyond to make things right which was a huge plus for us, and has garnered our recommendation both here and to friends and family.

I don't think there was anything I didn't like about Above Roofing. The guy who came out and gave me the estimate and followed up after was very helpful. When there were problems they came back out the next day and fixed it without giving me any trouble. They made sure I was happy. They were great.

We met with their representative July 27, 2012. The representative was seemingly very professional, including a complete package consisting of insurance documents, company history and assorted examples. He answered all our questions. We agreed to what work was to be done. I specifically pointed out an area that had been damaged by water back-up from an ice dam. I was assured they had "Master" carpenters who would make it look as "good as new". We were told the work would take 6 days. The crew arrived on the first day August 27th, and the crew foreman told us they would be using a "double crew" and the job would be done in 3 days! That was good news. He also again told me their "master" carpenter would do an excellent job on the ice dam damaged area. The first day there seemed to be an army of workers. The work day was about 8 hours. The job site was cleaned up entirely at day's end. The next day, the crew was considerably smaller. and the work day considerably shorter (6 hours?). The next day was the Friday before the holiday week-end, and the crew was small, and the day was over by 2. They understandably took the Monday holiday off, but the next day the crew consisted of 2 guys who stayed for about 3 hours. There was no longer any effort to clean things up at the end of the day. We had supplies, garbage, cigarette butts and tools left laying all over. One day an electrical cord was left hanging from the roof. The next "work" day started around noon, and was done by 2! On the following day around 10 AM, having seen no one on the job, I called the Company's office and inquired just how much longer this job would take, as there were still large parts of the roof unfinished, the gutters hadn't been started, and no crew in sight. After a few phone calls with the owner, the "Crew Chief" showed up with assurances things would be addressed promptly. The job ended up taking 8 days, and that was after I complained. I have little doubt it would have taken much longer if I hadn't complained. When I met with the "crew chief", he told me he'd made special arrangements to have the gutter people come out early to get the job done. This struck me odd that a job that he had told me would take 3 days, required "special arrangements" to get the "gutter guy" out to my house on the 8th day. The "master" carpenter was in fact a wood butcher who did an absolutely miserable job. It is an eyesore, at best. When the owner came to do a final inspection, he agreed it was a poor job. there was no offer to repair it, but he did discount the job $800. The owner admitted he had no "master" carpenters on staff, and yet on at least two occasions, his people assured me they did. The total experience has me wondering just how good a job they did on my roof. If I base the quality of their work on their carpentry work, I have serious concerns. I had researched roofing companies and found Above Roofing with an excellent track record. I can only wonder if their success has brought rapid growth they are not prepared to deal with. There was a serious lack of oversight by management. I was left with the feeling that regardless of having spent $20,000, our job became an afterthought, where they would send a couple stray workers over to put in a few hours work to keep us pacified.

It went wonderful from beginning to completion

I obtained 4 estimates. I did not select Above Roofing due to my budget, however I was very impressed w/ Tommy Wall's knowledge, professionalism and service. Shortly into our appointment, I believe he realized that his quote would be beyond my budget. Instead of wrapping up our appointment, he answered several questions I had and served me for an additional hour. If my budget was not a consideration, Tommy would likely have earned my business.

Professional, timely service despite this job being a small one.

They were going to give me a discount because I was going through Angie’s List. They were very nice when they came out. They were comparable in price except their price didn’t include the screen porch roofing. It was within $100 of the company we chose to go with.

It went well. They came out and showed me that a previous guy I had used had not done such a good job. They told me what my options were and how much life I had in my roof left. They told me I could just replace the fallen shingles for the cheapest price or go ahead and seal all the loose ones. It was more expensive but I went with that route because we had some moisture in our attic.

Jay was very professional during the estimate process. He provided ideas on how to resolve some areas that I had concerns about. He took his time answering all my questions during the initial meeting. When he returned to present the estimate, I had additional changes for some special work that I wanted done. He was accomodating and adjusted the estimate during that visit. He provided three different pricing options. The pricing was comparable to another estimate I got from a highly rated Angie's List Roofing Contractor. I decided not to go with Above Roofing because the other contractor's product and workmanship warranties were superior, in my opinion, given the comparable price.

Overall, the experience was excellent. They were on time, professional, and did an all-around good job. They finished the work within one day.

They seemed like a good company and were very professional. They showed everything that would’ve been included in the work, but the reason I didn’t go with them was because their price was high.

However, I did not use this company.
