Their price wasn't expensive and bad. They were great. The guy who came out did exactly what he said he was going to do. He came and did it. He did a great job on it. I did have my roof replaced within the last couple of weeks and that was due to hail damage. I went through a particular roofing company that was in the area doing many people's roofs. I was familiar with his work, and seen what he has done. I was planning to use Above Roofing to get that job done, but since I didn't have to pay for, and my insurance company handled it, so I ended up using another company. Above Roofing’s pricing was fair, and it was right where I expected. I called and spoke to someone in the store. The owner was not available then; but he called me back right at that time. He went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with the service. I will recommend them.

They were fantastic. We spent probably over $20,000 on that service. They were very professional and it was a very professional group and they just did a great job. They were timely and they got started late because there was so much rain, but that wasn’t their fault. They weren’t the cheapest, but they did the best job. They took off a cedar shake roof that was incredibly dirty and full of nails and I am a gardener and I noticed that they got all the nails and everything out of the yard. It was incredible.

They were good. I didn’t have any complaints. He was on time when he came out for the estimate. He was a part-owner of the company. He was quick and did a good job from what I can tell. He said when he got up there he discovered some other stuff that was wrong, and he fixed it. I will need another roof in 5 years or so, and I would probably call them again. I didn’t have any problems with the person who gave me the estimate.

They were extremely professional. No driveway or street full of cars during the job. They arrived everyday in a company vehicle - small point, but shows the attitude of the company. They were very respectful of our home, landscaping and the neighborhood. In my opinion, they used superior products (under-layment), sealing nails, etc., than other companies I had quote the job (for the same price). They did a great job that was completed in a short time period. Clean-up was also great - didn't even know they had been there (except for the new roof) when they were gone.

They did a great job. They were very pleasant. They were very reliable. They seemed to be very knowledgeable. They did great work. What impressed me most was their integrity or honesty. That was number one. Number two was their actual professional knowledge of the nature of the work that needed to be done. I thought they were transparent honest business people that did good old fashioned work. The job we had to have done was not anything complicated. It was good basic roofing work and they did a fantastic job and they did it for a very reasonable price. They answered all our questions on the spot when they came out to do the estimate. We didn't have any questions that we had to follow up on. They were very transparent and knowledgeable when they were doing the work as well.

Jay came out and gave us an estimate on what it would cost to repair our roof after a storm tore off some shingles. He showed up on time, was very polite, well spoken and did a thorough examination of our roof. He took pictures while on the roof so he could show us exactly what needed to be fixed. He explained what he found and gave us a very reasonable price estimate for the repairs. We hired Above Roofing to complete the repairs as written on the estimate and they gave us a 2 week time frame for when the repairs would be complete. They finished the work ahead of schedule, charged us exactly what we had agreed on, and the roof has been great ever since. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again in the future!

It was a quick repair. Not much more to say. Went well.

They initially came out in June and gave me an estimate. About three weeks later they came to do the repair and I'm still kind of waiting for the resolution because something wasn't quite right but I feel like it will be fine. They did a couple of other kind of things which hadn't needed to be done otherwise or repair wise. They said it was going to be two weeks between when they came out to give the estimate and when they would do the job but it actually took three and a half weeks or more than that. They said that they would give me a call to schedule it but I never got a call in advance but somebody just showed up. I really thought that I didn't need to be in the house or they needed anything from me. It took longer than they said it was going to be. It was just repair and it wasn't urgent but I could imagine that could have been troublesome with somebody else but I was fine with that. There is still a leak and I'm still waiting for them to resolve that but I don't think it's major. Technically it's not finished yet. They were very good but they cost more than their competitors. They had such a good review on Angie's List that I went with them.

They crew was very professional during the project. Left the area clean. Followed up with a couple of corrections after the project was complete without hesitation.

They have been extremely professional. They are friendly and they brought samples for us to look at. They explain everything. They gave us different choices on the level of shingles and other options. I know the work is going to be good. They are so professional and they clean up every time they’ve been here.

They are prompt and response. It took less than a week between estimate and repair/work. Less than a month passed and roof leaked again in some area. The company was called and they come out on the same day and inspected the roof and did the second repair. No further leaks to date.

I would use these folks again, but I'd make sure they meet all requirements of the city next time. The materials used were great. The roof looks fantastic - the flashing around the chimney looks very good. They job was done quickly, and on budget. Their warranty is top notch. They came on time, and quickly removed my shingles. They did not see large damage to the deck underneath and did say I could have saved money and re-shingled without the new deck to save some money - I elected not to do this as I wanted to be sure that I do not have to do this again anytime soon. I appreciate that they gave me their opinion, even though it would have cost them some of the money on the job. It was fall, and it was difficult to see any debris that landed int he lawn instead of in the tarps, and we discovered later that quite a few pieces missed the tarps. They had a special offer that I took advantage of to get some gutter run along the back of my house, I'm not sure if they did this themselves or if they subcontracted the work. The gutter itself is fine, but the downspout was not draining far enough away from the house initially. They came back out and attempted to fix it, but still did not address it properly. During heavy rain or snowmelt, the downspout leaks up against the foundation. I will fix it myself. This is a very minor concern, it is a very simple fix. They do not get an "A" because they did two things not as well as they should have. They did not clean up well enough, to this day I'm finding pieces of roof, even after they did a second cleanup. I have an awning over my back door that we discovered pieces of the old roof on after the spring thaw. More importantly, I did not know a permit is required to do a roof in Grand Rapids, and that the city has made is both easy and cheap to get said required permit. The permit, which is only $50 in Grand Rapids, provides an extra set of eyes to make sure that what looks like a good job, is. No permit was mentioned or pulled for this job. It should have been included in a job that was $6500, no questions asked or needed. I do have the warranty paperwork, so this lack of an inspection will not affect the value of my house too much if I go to sell it.

Above Roofing came out, investigated the missing shingles and came up with a solution that was quick and affordable. He took photos of the roof and showed me exactly what was going on.

It went very well. Above Roofing is professional in every way. They took care of our problem in a timely way for a reasonable cost. I have already recommended them to friends. Also, Bob gave me a referral for a drywall person to fix the inside wall also. A+++ work. I now have a roof company to go to when I need them.

I contacted Above roofing and they returned my call right away. They explained how their fees work and went to the house, saw what needed to be repaired and came back and repaired it. They charge a fee to come out - like a minimum fee, if they can fix for that fee then it's fixed. If it will be more, the fee is waived. My issue was resolved with the minimum fee - they also at my request made some other recommendations. I plan on following through with some of them. One of the recommendations stood out because they made a recommendation on something they can't service - just a friendly FYI which was appreciated.

Extremely professional, very free with information and answering questions on roofing. Price of ashphalt roof extremely competitive. Our final decision on roof replacement was to go with a standing seam metal roof. Asked this company if they installed, they said no but gave me another company to contact that they know did this type of roof. Exceptional service in this respect - above and beyond what we expected. High quality firm- you will not find any better

They were very good. They wrote up a report on what was wrong with the job done. They were very professional and were excellent on follow up. We were very pleased with their service.

Both issues were resolved. The corner guard really took care of our issue as was indicated during the next torrential downpours we had. Overall, this is an excellent company to work with. They stand by their quote, do excellent work and have superior staff to work with. They clean up so well after themselves that you would never know that they had been there. Besides using them at our home, I will now be calling them for roofing issues with the company that I work for.

They did a great job! They were able to fix what another roofer obviously couldn't. The removed and re-installed two very large skylights. Additionally, they matched the shingles around them. They were very professional and punctual. They did a great job cleaning up. They even cleaned our gutters!

It went very well. The roof was leaking before. No one else seemed to determine what the problem was, they did and then they fixed it. It seems to work, even through the rain. They took great effort in not bruising our delicate plants and flowers around our house.

This company was incredible. I was very impressed by the owners honesty and how the crew worked together. They were careful of the flowers and yard around the house. They cleaned up all the debris when finished.
