Ferguson Roofing came highly recommended by Angie's list and known customer references in my area (Livingston County). My desired job was a full tear-off and re-roof, 42 Sq. Bid Process: very thorough inspection, description of materials and scope of the job. Ferguson concurred a tear-off would be better than a roof-over old, for which I was eligible. Ferguson explained the pros and cons of the two choices (I also had some sections of bad wood that needed replacing). Estimate process: detailed quote with a clear description of materials to be used. Vance Ferguson thoroughly explained the quote. No high pressure sales tactics. Gave us plenty of time to think it over and even shop other contractors. Bid Result: very competitive and fair price for job. Also explained his shingle recommendations for the job - the shingle quality, his experience with various shingles and various shingle performance results over time. Ferguson showed us several shingle quality/color choices. We made our choices, agreed to proceed, signed the quote and paid half the of the job price. Two days later we decided to go with a higher quality shingle. Ferguson offered a very fair up-charge for the higher quality choice. He did not try to "squeeze" us on the upgrade. The Job commencement: materials promptly delivered by his supplier. They were very careful to avoid any delivery damage. Ferguson's roof crew was a very good and hard working bunch. Large tarps caught all the refuse; dumpster on site; they kept the job site clean after each work day. They performed the roof work in sections to avoid adverse weather impacting uncompleted areas. Job took about two weeks. I did find a few errant nails and debris after the job completion, but that is expected. My only dissatisfaction: I had gutter protection screens (old ones) which many turned up missing or damaged. All-in-all though, I am very pleased with the Ferguson job. I write this review three months later and have experienced no leaks or other unsatisfactory results (that I am aware of anyway). I would highly recommend Ferguson Roofing.

Service guy came to look roof over. Said I would hear back from him a few days later. Never did. Repeatedly called. Asked for a response whether they wanted the work or not. Very unprofessional.

The roofer Furguson sent was puctual and professional. He did a good job and did good cleanup. The repair is holding well. Would recommend.

Vance Ferguson (owner) and his wife Irene were very nice and professional from beginning to end. The quality of the work was excellent. The price was bellow the big roofing companies lowest quotes. The work was done in a timely manner and the clean up was perfect. Vance addressed all my questions and concerns. Vance really went that extra mile to make a perfectionist like myself happy by making sure that my gutter guards were put back neatly -- even though they probably should have been discarded with the old roof because they had been riveted on. I would definitely hire his company again in the future and recommend him to friends and family. Thank you Vance and Irene. The new roof looks great!

This was one of 4 companies who looked at the roof and then simply never got back to me. Now when I call somone I tell tem right off the bat "if you can't do the job or you just don't want to do it, just tell me and I will move on to another company." There are lotsa roofers around afterall.

Ferguson Roofing was punctual in arrival to give us an estimate and made the most thorough inspection of the roof prior to preparing a cost estimate. They offered the lowest price of three estimates, so we chose them for the job. They also were the only contractor that noticed we had Gutter Helmet gutter guards that would have to be removed by a Gutter Helmet contractor prior to the start of the roofing job. A start date was set for about three weeks from the date of the estimate. They were unable to start work on the planned start date due to unfinished commitments at the time, but they started two days later, which was no problem. They worked constantly until the job was done, about four days, and did a very good job cleaning up as they worked. The owner of the company stopped by on the second day of work to see if we had any issues that needed to be addressed. There were no problems along the way and we were very pleased with the completed job.

Overall the job was performed as contracted. Existing roofing was removed down to the roof boards and disposed of using a waste trailer. Contractor maintained the site and did a good job of recovering stray roofing materials and nails during this phase. The surrounding landscape beds were not damaged during this project. New roofing materials were delivered to the roof by the supplier and installation began immediately thereafter. The contractor's crew completed the work in two days. Although it is only a few weeks later, the roof has been exposed to a couple significant rain events and no problems have been observed. The size of this project was about 22 squares of roofing including new edging, flashing and ventilation installed. Existing storm drainage gutters were left intact and debris protective covers replaced after the new roofing was installed.

Vance Ferguson was the first roofer to show up and do a complete estimate and came in with the most competitive bid. He showed up within twenty-four hours and did the bid in a timely manner, detailing exactly how his crew works and what we could expect. After getting other bids, we signed on with Ferguson roofing and his crew was on site actually earlier than expected. The re-roofing took two days and was completed on time and within budget. His workers were quiet, professional, and cleaned up the work area perfectly. When his workers accidentally used a pool cover (we had been using as a tarp) to help with cleanup, Vance was at our house in about an hour and immediately purchased a new pool cover with no questions asked. The Job was completed perfectly and with no issues.

Overall it was an outstanding experience, I wish all companies had this kind of character and integrity.

Vance (owner) provided us with a detailed estimate of the work to be done. The price quoted was about the same as other estimates we received. All bids were from roofers on Angies List. We would have been comfortable with any of them. Vance got the job because he was the easiest to talk with. He took great pains to answer all our questions and insure we understood everything he was recommending we have done. We had no doubt we had made a good decision. Once we accepted his bid his wife, Irene, came out with samples to decide what shingles we wanted, and describe how the job would go. She also was very helpful in making recomendations and keeping us informed. Start of the job was delayed due to the weather. Rain set in for 3 days which really had a major impact on Vance's schedule. His workers worked quickly and efficiently. They took great pains to ensure plants around the house were protected and that all debris was promptly cleaned up. At one point I noticed the door on the dumpster they had delivered had swung into the trim over our garage door, scratching and denting it. Vance said that was no problem and he'd repair it. (At the time I didn't know he also installed siding.) After the roof was installed Vance returned and repaired the damaged trim. He also agreed to repair a piece of missing siding at the back of the house. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the work that was done. While the weather impacted the schedule, everything was done as promised in an adequate time frame. Vance and Irene were a pleasure to deal with and the work was of the highest quality.

Vance Ferguson, the owner of the company, came out to do the estimate himself. After getting 2 other estimates, I gave him the job and we agreed on a date. He then called me a week early and said that he had finished another job ahead of schedule and could they do my job now. So 4 polite guys showed up and in 9 hours had my old roof off and the new one on. The cost was exactly as quoted and the roof is beautiful. The cleanup was also amazing. I only found one nail and a couple little slivers of shingle after they were gone. They even cleaned my gutters while they were up there. The next day, Vance was there to make sure the job was done right.

Started on time and finished on time. Cost was as on quote. Clean up was done.

I spent around $5700 on that service. Things went very well with them and I would recommend them to others. They set a date to be here, but unfortunately they couldn’t because of rain, but followed the new schedule and it was completed within a week . They got it all done in one day and did an excellent job. Both Vance and his wife we very pleasant to deal with. His prices were one of the best that I found and I interviewed a number of people.

They were pretty good overall. There were some problems though. It was pretty easy to get a hold of them to come out. I think I will use their services again in the future.

Excellent job, the roof looks great and is now totally vented properly. They went above and beyond by painting our chimney stack and the vent stacks.

It went very well. He was straight forward and told me about what they would do. He gave me the quote and said he would call me back.

Vance Ferguson and his wife, Irene, responded to my call promptly. Vance was very thorough in checking out the roof and explaining what needed to be done, and the products he uses , along with literature. He addressed all my concerns. The job was started quickly, with an excellent crew, who were in contact with Vance during the job. The job was more involved than first thought when the shingles were removed and the decking was found to be moldy and spongy, which was considerably more work and took three days to complete. This was surprising because my roof was done ten years before, obviously with poor workmanship and product.and not replacing the decking at that time The crew was great and efficient, working in 90 degree heat and also a rain storm, above and beyond what I expected. Because of the moldy decking the cost of the reroofing was higher than quoted, but we felt it was fair.They connected the bathroom vents and checked out the baffles and soffits, making sure it was properly ventilated. They were excellent at cleaning up during and after the job. I haven't been able to find one roofing nail.

Overall it was good. However I'm still finding nails on the driveway despite cleanup by them and myself. Also they left chimmey flashing on the roof that blew off the roof into my yard. Although not sharp it would have hurt someone if hit by them.
