Description of Work: The consultation was very useful for me to decide what would be best for my landscaping/hardscaping, given the restrains of my tiny budget. Several ideas were discussed and a "for the time-and-money-being" plan was developed. I will continue working with what was accomplished - mostly redirecting a great deal of rainwater from my roof that had been flooding my garden with mud - and hope to use Prestige again next summer when another Angie's List deal is available.

Description of Work: First, a big "thank you" to Angie's List for recommending Prestige Landscaping and Design for our home landscaping project. A well landscaped yard provides such a feeling of pride of ownership I did not trust myself to do the job properly. In a nutshell, I do not know what I do not know when it comes to landscaping so my wife and I felt it best to trust someone who makes a living in the landscape field with this important project. What initially intrigued us about Presige Landscape was the fact it advertised itself as a "design" and landscaping company. My wife and I had a foggy idea of what we wanted our yard to look like, but lacking the knowledge of flowers, trees, shrubs, colors necessary to provide a clear detailed image to a landscaper, we wanted someone who could help us clarify that image. We contacted Ben Navarro, the owner of Prestige, and arranged for an in-home consultation to help clarify our image. At that first consultation we were impressed with Ben's knowledge of every aspect of landscape and its design. By the time we finished our visit with Ben, we were significantly closer to a detailed image of how we wanted our yard to look. But in a truly unique technique that my wife and I had never experienced with previous landscapers, several days after our consultation Ben emailed us a colored picture of our house with the flowers, shrubs, and trees Ben had suggested to us. We could see how our landscaping would look, in our year, throughout all four seasons. | |After agreeing to a detailed landscape plan Ben emailed us an itemized cost for the prices of materials and Ben's labor, as well as completion dates. We verified the quality of Ben's products by doing our own online research. | |Ben just left our house after completing our project and words cannot accurately describe how happy and satisfied my wife and I are with his finished product. Ben is one of the hardest working vendors I have ever hired. He is a professional who takes personal pride in his work and in his relationships with his customers. Polite, honest, soft spoken, extremely skilled, passionate about his work and customer satisfaction, Ben is one of the nicest human beings you will ever meet. Pays attention to details. Further he will be emailing us detailed instructions for caring for our plants and flowers throughout the year. Description of Work: $299 for 8 Hours of Landscaping and a 1 Hour Landscape Design Consultation

Description of Work: This was my first experience with an Angie's List Big Deal - and perhaps my last. The deal was one hour of landscape design consultation and eight hours of work for $299. It got off to a good start. The owner of the service met with me, I showed him the area in my backyard I wanted to landscape (about 10 x 30 ft.) and we sat and decided on a plan. The area was overgrown with weeds, so the first step would be to clear it. The owner said the work would be complete by the mid June. | |I didn't hear anything from him for several weeks. I had told him I would be away from home from June 12 through June 21. I contacted him to come over one more time to make sure we were still on the same page. He did. | |When I got home June 21, I had hoped to be surprised by a cleared area. I was surprised. The weeds were three feet tall. Nothing had been done. I gave him a week - maybe he didn't want to work while I was gone. Then I emailed him and said I wanted the work done within a week or I wanted my money back minus the hour consultation. | |He and a worker came the next day and worked for a couple hours. I've never seen or heard from him again. | |By my estimation, he still owes me two hours with a two-man crew, but I'm out of patience. I'll do it myself and think long and hard before I pay for another Angie's List Big Deal. | |

Description of Work: Ben was fantastic! He listened to what was important to me and developed a plan. The yard looks beautiful and we are looking forward to continuing to work with Prestige Landscape in the future.

Description of Work: The essential problem is that his approach is, "Tell me how much you have to spend, and I will make a plan." Our idea was how much will it cost to do this, this, and that, since we are going to do things one step at a time. The clean up portion was competent but expensive, and he flatly failed to trim one shrub area.

Description of Work: Removed old shrubs and trees. Presented plans for landscaping and deck which was well done.

Description of Work: Spring clean-up and landscape planning.

Description of Work: We asked for help cleaning three beds, but the crew cleaned only one. We also asked for a design for improving our front walkway. The resulting design was just a sketch--along with a $4700 proposal to do the work. We thought we paid a lot for one cleaned bed and a quick sketch. They also charged extra to haul away the leaves and weeds cleared from the bed.

Description of Work: Service provider called and came out during the first weeks of May. Never heard from him again. No service ever provided.

Description of Work: I bought their coupon on AL for a set number of hours of work. They leveled out the bricks in my patio (which had gotten very uneven over time, cleaned up all the weeds between the bricks, and raked up the areas around the patio that I asked them to. Ben also did the sketch/proposal for other parts of the yard and met with me to discuss those recommendations.
