For years I did all the landscaping on my modest lot myself, with mixed results. At a loss as to what I could do to improve the place, I decided to invest in a professional plan. I found Landmark on the web with some good reviews, and had them come and evaluate my property. They were on time, friendly and professional, and their first suggestion was that I have my trees trimmed (a service they don't provide). After the tree trimming, I decided to go ahead with having Landmark draw up a plan. Three weeks later, they returned to deliver the plan and go over it with me. Although I will not be able to implement any of the plan elements until spring, and so can't judge yet whether it will be a success, I was happy with what I received. They had listened to me and provided what I requested, and they were clear and helpful in explaining all aspects of it.

We are so happy with the results so far. Please see my previous posts on the past two years. This third year was no exception. Wonderful service. Chris was again the project manager. Mark and Beth again were around. Everyone who worked on the yard was professional, courteous. Just another great experience.

In the Fall of 2007 we hired Landmark Landscape to prepare a comprehensive plan for our entire yard. For $400 Beth Dudash prepared the plan and then met with us and gave us a complete explanation. We were given a copy of the plans and were free to ask other vendors for price quotes. We were very comfortable working with Beth and Mark Engstrom so we went ahead and signed a contract for the north (driveway) and west (front) to be done in early Spring 2008. Our project manager was Chris and he couldn't have been a more perfect person to work with. He not only supervised the laborers, but was in there digging and planting with them. Mark and Beth periodically came by to review the progress and answer any questions we had. It was a wonderful experience and we couldn't be more happy with the results. Although Landmark Landscape may initially be higher priced than some others, it is well worth it. Their customer service is above and beyond anything you have ever experienced, both before the start of the project, during, and especially after completion. Any time I called with a question (and with all the new plants/shrubs/flowers I had a lot) someone immediately returned my call or came by to look. In addition, they give a two year warranty on everything they plant. We were diligent about watering and we still lost a few. They were promptly replaced the next spring. I highly recommend Landmark Landscape.

Second year of our re-landscaping project went just as smoothly as last year's. Once again Chris was our project manager. Everything was completed in a timely manner. The crew cleaned up each night. Delightful experience. I highly recommend working with Mark, Beth, Chris and their staff. Landmark Landscape is a great company to work with.

Chris was our project manager again. It is so great to work with someone who is very familiar with you and your yard. Everything was done in a professional and courteous manner. We love our yard.

They are wonderful. I never have to worry all winter long. I know my snow will be removed completely and in a timely manner. When I worked it was always by 7:00 a.m. unless there were extenuating circumstances. Now that I am retired I am cleaned out during the night or by around 8, it possible. They salt, because I ask them to, so I never have ice buildup on the driveway or walks. They close the back fence door so the dog can't get out. They are polite and hard working. With e-mail they send a message when we are expecting a storm and indicate their clean up plan. Then they update it during the storm. During one particularly bad storm they forgot to do my deck and I couldn't get the screen door open to let the dog out. I sent them a message and they were right here, within 15 minutes. Are they expensive? Perhaps more than some companies, but you are paying for dependability. If it means a lot to you to KNOW the snow will be removed, it's worth it. Now that I am on a fixed income they have set up payment terms with me so I pay a flat rate each month until the full bill is paid. Usually by April. They are very willing to work with me.

LandMark owners and staff treated us very professionally by giving us a written quote that showed exactly for what we were responsible and for what they were responsible. Their one-page contract assured us they were responsible for all insurance, so we didn't have to worry about their workers not being covered. We had to wait a few weeks to get into their schedule but we took that as a sign that their services were in demand. When they arrived at our property, they got right to work. Their staff was professional, friendly, hardworking, and took care not to damage any of our property. They rototilled the areas from which the bushes and overgrowth were taken, raked the debris out of the soil, and removed all evidence of the old/unwanted growth from our yard. The result of our project is a beautifully cleaned up and cleared out back yard. We are now ready for the next step in our back yard transformation. We will certainly ask this company to bid on the remaining stages of our project.

For the most part, the services are fine. There have been occasions when the mowers aren't careful enough and have mowed over the soaking hoses that I had put in my garden areas and were too close to the edge. When informed of this, my bill was discounted the amount of the replacement hoses. Also, when I had requested an area of the garden to be weeded I asked them to please leave my currant bushes. Not sure why, but 1? bushes were removed which made me very sad. Again, my bill was discounted for the replacement of new bushes -- which unfortunately didn't survive that winter so I still don't have the currant berries in the proper quantity when I harvest mid-summer. I did have to call several times to make sure that the lawn service would go to bi-weekly as I could not afford every week for the entire summer. I understood why it was necessary for the grass to be mowed each week during the growing season, but it really pushed my budget to the limit this year. They did an excellent job re-doing my rose garden when it became overgrown with grass and weeds because my bad back made it difficult for me to keep up with the gardening during the summer of 2009 and I couldn't afford to have them do it at the hourly rates. Mark and Beth came out to talk to me about what I wanted to do, made recommendations and drew up a contract. Plus, Mark has honored his guarantee repeatedly when the first french drain they dug/installed for my sump pump wasn't sufficient (in the late 1990s), and again when the second larger french drain proved insufficient during a spring with exceptionally heavy snowmelt and rain, he installed a different drain system to head the sump water over towards the city drain. Sadly, with frozen/shrinking wages I will not be able to afford their services in the future.

We picked LandMark over two other local companies and although they were a good deal more expensive than their competitors, we felt their experience and design was far superior. Unlike the two other companies, LandMark required payment before producing a landscaping plan. They redesigned our entire grounds (front and back yards although we've only tackled the front yard so far). They listened to our needs and made some very good recommendations. They were very knowledgable - such as suggesting we use seed for the new parts of the lawn rather than sod as it would blend better with the existing mixed species lawn we had. Once the landscape plan was agreed upon (actual blueprints!) we were free to seek bids from other contractors to carry out the design. We chose to stick with LandMark. We hope to tackle the back yard soon!

Extremely well. Worth the money.

We needed to spruce up our landscaping, which had gotten a bit out of our control, and keep the weeds in our flower beds under control. We were away quite a bit this summer, and just couldn't keep up with the growth. Landmark came out and surveyed our yard, and made recommendations based on our needs. They did the work promptly and efficiently, and return every few weeks to remove new weeds. The yard looks fantastic!

They are very responsive and reliable. They are great about keeping up on things.
