Description of Work: After waiting for his scheduled visit , the day of the visit I called to confirm and he forgot . He did come out later measured and left. After a few weeks he said he couldn't do the job. That put me more than a month behind . If he didn't want to do the job then he should of said something when I first called. It was allot of waiting for nothing .

Description of Work: I submitted a written review just after the work was done. I noticed my review was taken down just a few months later eventhough I gave Perkins a great review. I don't understand why this happened. He did great work that we are still enjoying. Very easy to work with and he did exactly what we had in mind!

Description of Work: Partial bathroom remodel (replacing old shower unit with custom tile shower, new flooring) and installed granite kitchen counters.

Description of Work: Came to look at our total bathroom remodel. We met, he took measurements. We need a total remove all fixtures and re do. Didn't hear back for nine days so I called and left a message. Received an email response that he had to many jobs to complete mine before the end of January.

Description of Work: His Angie's List profile said he covered the "Entire Area" but he would not come down to Wayland. This was disappointing, with all of the positive reviews I was looking forward to working with him.

Description of Work: Perkins Construction remodeled two bathrooms for us. In our guest bath they replaced cabinets and tile floors and installed quartz counters with under mount sinks and replaced all fixtures for sinks and tub/shower. They also gutted our master bath and installed larger tile shower with euro shower glass enclosure, new flooring, new cabinets, quartz counter tops with under mount sinks. Ted is great to work with. He is responsive and all his contractors provided quality work, were friendly and always cleaned up. The project took longer than expected, but both projects exceeded our expectations in terms of appearance.

Description of Work: Perkins repaired damage to my ceiling and wall caused by an ice dam over the winter. This also included painting the entire ceiling of a large vaulted room. Ted and his crew are very professional and did a great job. It couldn't look better. They were very prompt in both providing the estimate and scheduling the work as well as showing up almost to the minute of when they said they would be here. I would definitely recommend them for this type of work, and would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Phase Two of Kitchen and Laundry room improvements began and finished in February, 2012. The majority expense in this phase was the commercial linoleum that I insisted on purchasing. Excellent work by Enhance Painting and DeGraaf Interiors, all sub contractors of Perkins. Recommend all three companies unconditionally. The work involved painting dark walnut cabinets and wood work, changing the wood work trim to match, as much as possible, the kitchen mouldings, strip wall paper in long hallway and laundry area. The old flooring in adjoining kitchen and laundry needed removal. The commercial flooring required special installation but well worth the investment. All three companies coordinated their start/stop times as the painter could strip the walls and prep for painting but would not finish painting until flooring was installed. The new wood work was spray painted off-site as were the three doors. One interior half-bath door and two outside entry doors were repainted via spraying. Perkins worked as the general contractor. He also returned to redo the joining of the kitchen floor with the wood floor entry to dinning room. DeGraaf, in my mind dropped the ball a bit here, but Perkins made it look and function superior to what was installed. I added LED lighting under cabinets and had a special block made for key rack - all done excellently. I have had several contractors, carpenters, flooring companies and painters over my 35+ years owning a home. This trio is by far, the best.

Description of Work: The first project was a kitchen remodel in April, 2010. Ted was very helpful in recommending certain materials and complied with all of my wishes. The second project, May, 2011 was tearing down our existing deck and replacing with a larger deck and railings. The last project was a total remodel of the master bathroom done in June, 2011. Ted has done outstanding work in our home. He is efficient, cost effective, professional and honest. We have recommended him to several of our friends and neighbors and would not hesitate to have him do work for us in the future. In addition, we have had a couple of emergent situations occur and Ted was here immediately to help with the water leak in the basement and the broken sky light window.

Description of Work: We Had a complete remodel on our kitchen, master bath, family room, front and lower entrances. In the kitchen Perkins [ Ted ] tore everything out down to the studs, re- designed the floor plan, and installed a True Chefs Kitchen with new cabinets, pantry, bookcase, quartz counter tops, sink, 5 burner stainless gas cook top on the "Cooking Island" which has a suspended hood fan and lights, and a pot filler [ tall flashy cold water spigot right at the cook top], this Island has electric outlets at both ends and is lit by 11 halogen can lights in the ceiling, the Island can seat 4 at bar stool level. This is the center piece of the kitchen ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!! We had a new double oven, dishwasher, microwave, deep double well sink that sits on an L shaped counter top that is also quartz but of a different color than the Island but coordinates unbelievably , and refrigerator all stainless installed. The flooring in the kitchen is a natural slate and is electrically heated with a digital timer/ thermostat in the dinning area. The back splash at the sink is the same as the floor but different size. New electric was run giving us multiple outlets. Walls, ceiling were painted.Two new high efficiency sliders were installed. All of this was greatly detailed and thought out . In the master bath Ted again rip everything down to the studs, installed a new deep soaking tub, low flush toilet, 35 inch high vanity with quartz top and sink, lights, ceiling light with vent. The tile floor was again installed with timer / thermostat controlled electric heat. The tile work around the tub was very creatively done using two completely different types of tile,this is my wifes oasis. The family room has new Bamboo flooring along with the two sets of stairs that lead to it.The solid supporting wall in the family room which is 20x10 feet was used as a "Show Piece" by cutting 5 different sized, rectangular cutouts in them, and then lighting each with a small round halogen light, recessed in the top of each cutout, all on automatic dimmers.How clever as this opens up and lights up 3 living areas Ted installed all new hand rails in the stair wells that lead to the foyer, that match the cabinets in the kitchen, with the black spindles matching some of the color in the countertops in the kitchen, it kinda gets you ready for what you are going to see in the kitchen, ties it all together,the new tile in the foyer is the same as the kitchen but a different pattern
