We were very pleased with the process (even with the unexpected challenges of going through a remodel during a pandemic), and we love the results. Ted and his whole team are conscientious, professional, and pleasant. Their top concern was always that we were pleased, and if something ever needed to be corrected it was done so quickly. We particularly liked the fact that Ted partners with a wonderful interior designer. Due to the scope of our project, we opted to utilize this service. The collaboration between the entire team was a real benefit and ensured the best results possible.

Ted and Mack are fantastic people - hands down the best contractors my wife and I have worked with over the years. They completed a four-month renovation of the lower level walkout of our home in Ada. From the design phase in partnership with their contracted designer, Kristie Koning (who's also a rockstar btw!), to the actual construction, Ted, Mack, and the entire crew were phenomenal. They are true craftsman, providing significant attention to detail and quality. We really enjoyed the collaborative nature of the relationship. They would listen to our ideas and we'd work together to find the optimal solution or design that would fit our budget and desired end result. Lastly, the communication and timeliness of Ted, Mack, and their subs was impeccable. You hear horror stories of contractors deprioritizing projects or taking on too much - this was not that case. I could always get a hold of Ted and/or Mack immediately or within a few hours of contacting them, and they were always on the job on time with minimal disruption to our overall schedule! I'd hire PCR again in a heartbeat!

PCR did an amazing job on the lower level renovation of our home in Ada, MI. Ted and Mack are true professionals. They communicated very well from start to finish, stuck to the project schedule, and executed the project to plan (including budget). All of their team members are great craftsman with a very keen attention to detail. They are very open to their clients ideas, and are very good at bringing their professional opinion to the table as well. PCR partners closely with Kristie Koning from Interiors by Kristie on the layout and design process. She too is amazing and helped us bring our vision to life! We would recommend PCR and Interiors by Kristie to anyone who asks!

Owner Ted showed up took measurements. Said he would send me an estimate in 4-5 days. Never sent it. I emailed him after two weeks and he replied that he was on vacation and would get it to me as soon as he returned. That was a month ago. Never received anything.

Ted was great to work with. He was very customer-oriented. He listened well, gave great advice, and made sure we got what we wanted. He was very professional and always upfront with what to expect and with any changes along the way. When he came out for the initial consultation to finish our basement, we had a few ideas, but we weren’t sure exactly what we wanted. The designer he worked with, Kristie (Interiors by Kristie), was also fantastic. Ted and Kristie worked with us to come up with a plan that was better than anything we could have come up with on our own. Ted and his son Mack are excellent craftsmen and have good attention to detail. They did an excellent job and we are really happy with the results. We would definitely hire them again.

We are so pleased with our renovated, beautiful and functional bathrooms in our home that Perkins Custom Remodel did for us this Fall. Ted is the most professional general contractor we have ever worked with meeting deadlines, budget and project objectives. All along we were kept abreast of the timetable and knew exactly who to expect and what work would be done. The quality of the workmanship was top notch and communication about the job was timely and responsive. The Perkins team and tradesmen that came into our home were respectful of our living space, extraordinarily pleasant and professional. We were guided toward very good vendors who helped us with product selection and design. So happy with our choice in partnering with this company and would not look any further for another remodeling contractor should we decide on future work.

Everything went very well. Ted was very responsive to all questions and very pleasant to deal with. Mack and his crew did quality work and were also very professional and pleasant to work with. We would use them again and recommend them for any remodeling work.

Working with Ted and his team was great. He provided us clear options when we were defining the project, was flexible with the project start date, kept us up-to-date throughout, and we are quite happy with the end result. Plus - the price was right!

Ted and team did an extensive remodeling on schedule lasting four months. They kept in constant contact and responded quickly to questions/concerns. They did excellent work and made sure we were satisfied. Quality of the work is top notch.

Ted and his team are very professional and honest. Good trustworthy people and high integrity. It took about 3 months total. The subcontractors were fine also. They gutted both bathrooms, gave us suggestions on decor and fixtures. Replaced with high quality products for a reasonable price.

The work went extremely well. It was well organized and coordinated with the subcontractors that Ted used for the project. The subcontracting consisted of drywall, plumbing, electrical and tile work. All the subcontracted work was done well and professionally. Each day the work area was cleaned up by the end of the day. The work was also completed within the estimated time frame. Ted, and his subcontractors paid attention to the fine details of the work. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the work and look forward to future work with Perkins Custom Remolding

Ted and his subcontractors did a wonderful job. We had used his firm a few years ago to build a deck and we were completely satisfied. Ted is a professional who insists on - and delivers quality work. He provides advice and suggestions for the project and listens intently to our views and perspective. His pricing is very reasonable and we look forward to working with him on other projects in the future.

Perkins Remodeling remodeled my bathroom one year ago, and they did an excellent job, and when I told him that the handle wasn't working properly, he came right out and took care of it. I didn't hesitate to call him because I know that he is very proud of his work and wants you to be as happy with the job as he is. All of the people who work for Ted Perkins are very nice, honest and dependable, and I would trust them with any any job. Our bathroom looks completely different and it came out much better than we expected! We also used Perkins Remodeling to remodel our kitchen two years earlier. They took two rooms and converted into one big kitchen, and that turned out fantastic, we always get compliments. I always call Perkins Remodeling when I have a job, or need advice, because I know they have the knowledge, experience and integrity to do the job right.

We did not hire his company, only because we have a family friend who does the same type of work.

Ted and his team did a great job! My shower stall began leaking and had to completely removed. It was poured cement about 3-4 inches thick. The guys made short work of that huge project with very, very little mess. I was very impressed. Ted was a wonderful communicator throughout the process and even handled some add-on work in my kitchen while they were there. The job was not an inexpensive one, but given the scope of the work the price was fair and the results very nice. Everyone was professional and courteous which is so important to me!

We had very positive experience using Perkins' service. We would contact Ted again when we need more remodeling work done.

In the end, I was not able to go forward with the project yet due to financial reasons. However, I did meet with Ted and the designer he works with, Amber. He was very kind and thorough, and helped explain the process well. I look forward to working with him in the future.

Ted, Mack and staff did an excellent job. They are professional, competent, honest, helpful, and responsive. In a couple of instances where it might have been easy for them to accept shortcuts, they did the work correctly. With so many "fly by night" remodelers out there in the market, it is great to find ones that you can trust and perform as promised. Furthermore, their sub-contractors were all pleasant and nice to deal with.I will look forward to having more work done by Perkins remodeling.

A lock broke in an external door and he replaced it. He has done a lot of work for me over the years. He is very professional, reliable, straight forward and he knows what he is doing. He is responsive and if I email or call him I will get a response in a reasonable amount of time.

Very friendly & professional. Started the job on the day he promised. He was very helpful in accommodating us when some of the fixtures we had chosen wouldn't fit in the area intended. Also, it must be said that before the job was begun, they covered our carpeting and floors completely with plastic to avoid tracking them, AND every worker arrived at the time promised each day.

This was a unique project because our house is a mid-century, California Contemporary with an open floor plan. We wanted to update the kitchen to a contemporary look that would fit with the architecture. This presented a challenge because one wall of cabinets, including a vented range hood had to be free standing. The old ones were sagging because of poor support. We chose Ted because after looking over the job, he gave us a very practical, unique and cost effective solution that ended up giving the kitchen a beautiful one of a kind look. His pricing was accurate and fair. We especially appreciated his willingness to provide opinions and guidance based on his experience. His son did some amazing finished carpentry work. That is hard to find these days. There were a couple hitches that were encountered along way, as with any remodel in a 50 year old house, but Ted and his team resolved them all with ingenuity and always had our satisfaction as the top priority. For those jobs that required sub-contractors, he brought in specialists who took pride in their work and provided their own expertise. In one case, the tile specialist spotted a problem with the backslash we had selected, causing us to change the selection. In summary, Ted's team did a great job from start to finish. Their pride in their work and budget consciousness were obvious. We ended up with the project looking even better than our original vision and it stayed within budget. We're totally happy. We would definitely recommend him for any project you have.
