Because our technicians are our employees, they have current liability insurance, have had background checks and are bonded for your security. We guarantee our work. Description of Work: Great Communication, Professional on-time staff, Great quality of work! i will definately use Mr. Handyman again!! The only negative was paying $48 just to get an estimate with the promise the the $48 would come off the job total - However, they charge a $48 trip fee when they do the work... so it seems to me to just be a way to pad their bill. (There office is a mere 4 miles from my house)

We're glad this customer had such a good experience with Mr. Handyman. We'd like to point out a misconception about the paid estimate. We charge a van fee of $48 when we go to do a job, and it is included with our first hour of service. It helps to defray the enormous cost of fuel, insurance, lease payments, etc. on the vehicles. Since we cover all of Kent and Ottawa counties, not all of our customers are merely four miles from our office, and, in any event, our technicians are not sent from our office--they go from their homes to the first job site, then to the next, and so on, until they return home at the end of the day. By crediting the $48 paid estimate back to the customer when the job has been done, we're actually making two trips and only charging the van fee once. Clearly, we are not padding anything; however, we are willing to do this to ensure that we only make these visits to customers who are seriously considering the project. We simply cannot afford to drive all over two counties estimating jobs for insurance companies, and folks who are not really potential customers. So we are willing to make the trip twice and collect the fee only once in order to minimize wasted time and money. Again, we're glad that the customer had a positive experience.
