Description of Work: I called for a quote on replacing 3 exterior doors for a rental unit and the same day they were able to send a pair of guys out to me. | |They were nice upon arrival, with one guy doing the talking and the other writing, but they took a long time getting around to doing the quote; they were at my house for almost 2 hours. I have a degree in Marketing and work in sales, and after the first half hour of not getting to the doors, I was becoming concerned. | |Once the quote was complete, the total came to a little over $8,000 for the 3 doors, or just over $7,000 if I signed with them right then. You can get custom sized cheap doors at Home Depot for a little over $500 a piece, which come framed. I also already had my door hardware purchased. | |I told them I needed to think about it and was not comfortable with that amount. They then tried pushing me into a loan, which I said I did not want to do. I told them 5 or 6 times I was not comfortable with the price but they would not let up. They just kept asking why. During this time the person who was doing most of the talking seemed to be getting upset I was not taking the deal. | |I eventually started getting upset myself and told them I no longer felt comfortable with them in my house. The talkative salesman became more pressuring, telling me if I back out now I would lose their 'special' deal and lose $1000. I told him I wasn't going to sign anything without other quotes or without thinking about it. He repeatedly said how he didn't understand I would throw away $1000 like that. | |They finally got the hint I wasn't going to sign anything and they left. | |These are textbook high pressure salesman. I can't imagine what would happen if they went into someone's home who didn't know any better. | |Sharks.

Description of Work: Installed new cabinets and countertops in kitchen. It went well, althought a little slower than expected, mostly due to weather. They are very easy to work with.

Description of Work: Replacement windows in basement... customized exterior white to match cinder block (had factory paint exterior of windows grey to match). Cleaned up after their work... all was left in order.

Description of Work: Had Kodiak construction contact me twice to set up a time for the sales man to give me an estimate. I explained I didn't have a lot of time and only wanted an estimate and not the long explanation on how good the product is and the company is. They were pushy and both times, they set up a time and did not show up. Wasted a lot of time! I talked to my neighbors who needed work done and they had the exact same experience. I would never recommend them to anyone!
