Jacobson Heating & Cooling

We wanted to add central air conditioning to the house. I knew our furnace was old as well and our electrical breaker panel would probably not be good enough to support air conditioning. I found Jacobson on Angie's List and called them out. They looked at what we had and recommended a new furnace along with integrated air conditioning, and also quoted a new 30-position electrical breaker panel (they use an electrical contractor for this). Once I saw the quote for the new electrical panel, I knew I was getting a pretty good price and I ordered the work done without getting another bid. They were extremely competent and professional from start to finish and I am very happy with their work.

I called on a Tuesday and they were at my house my Thursday. Our air conditioning unit was not working because of field mice making a nest in the winter and chewing on wires. The technician found out the air conditioning unit needed a new capacitor and compressor plus it had to get new wiring. The capacitor was replaced with some new wiring, but the compressor had to be ordered. The tech was so nice that he even found out for us if our unit was under warranty which made a huge difference in price. We could have ended up paying thousands, but because the tech was able to get a new part that was covered by our warranty the price was under $500!!! The part came in the following week and the technician was at our house by Wednesday so from the first phone call until the job was completed was under a week. I highly recommend Jacobson's because they were professional, friendly, fast and helped us save money.

It went very well. They came and check the air conditioner in the back yard. Then they turned the temp up to make sure that the a/c was working which it is.

They put in a new furnace system for me. For the first 3 years they will come out in the fall and spring for free to get both of the furnace and/or the air conditioner running even though they didn’t install the air conditioner. They did a really job!

We checked them out on Angies List where they had real good reviews and also checked around other places.

We found them on Angie’s List, and we got a $10 coupon from them. They had the most positive response of any heating and cooling company, and they have the most positive reports. Their responsiveness was excellent, they were here within a couple of hours, and they were here right when they said they would, they were very professional.

We've had very good service with them. We will be using them soon for the air conditioning.

Great interaction. Prompt response (under an hour, maybe 30 mins). Service man identified problem immediately (tenant had jammed an extra filter in), then fixed alignment on thermostat and replaced humidifier filter in about 20 mins. Friendly, gave good advice and went the extra mile.

They are wonderful people. They are my heating people. They will come out every year for a maintenance check-up. I went to them because my folks went to them. They had the same thing done also. They were very happy and they said go to them and I did and I was very happy.

The guys showed up and introduced themselves. Went right to work. It did take a while to change the unit out but that is normal. They made sure the door was closed at all times, since we have cats. They were very polite and professional. The unit looks great and is working perfect.

They are well known. They just come out and do a cleaning and checkup for my furnace and cooling unit. I chose them because they have been in business for a long time. I am familiar with them and happy with them. I can’t remember what their price was like. Their quality is fine. They are the guys that come to the door and put booties on their feet.

They were known in the community and I read their reviews on Angie’s List which were good and so we decided to go with them. They were very professional. They have been very helpful with a couple of issues afterwards and they were very easy to deal with. Their quote was better than some of the others. I would rate them high on their knowledge and clean up.

They had a high rating of customers liking their work so I used them. They did a superior job. I was happy with everything. They had a warranty on the work they did so I was 100 percent satisfied. They were very professional.

Overall, I was satisfied. Hopefully it will last a long time.

They were very easy to work with; they worked with our schedule to make it work for everybody. They were good about getting us our rebate information so that could all get processed. They have been very responsive and their price was very competitive.

Jeff was our sales person and he was fantastic - took the time to explain everything in detail and answer all questions we had. We placed and order the next day and then changed our minds a few days later and he dealt with the change without any complaint or delay in our service day. Installers were clean, friendly and thorough in walking me through the equipment and requirements.

They held to their estimate, did the work promptly -- working around the chaos of a move in -- and were very professional. I also just got an estimate on replacing this home's 21-yr-old AC unit. The amount was what I expected, but -- given the cost of this move & work already done on the house -- I appreciated the suggestion that I wait, test the unit when we (finally) get a warm day, and have it serviced if it produces cool air, waiting to replace it.

When I called them they came out, gave me an estimate and started on the day they said. It was a large job and they had several people there to make sure the job got done in the time estimated which was reasonable.

Jacobson's came right over and gave us our options. The earlier company who told us we had a problem with a cracked heat exchanger told us they called the manufacturer and we were no longer under warranty. Not true! Jacobson's told us we were covered for materials and could pay for the labor of replacing the exchanger. They also gave us other options for replacing the furnace (and air conditioner, which we were considering). We ultimately went with a third company for the job who is highly rated on Angie's List and charged slightly less than Jacobson's. I would definitely call Jacobson's in the future for other work we will need, such as a new air conditioner. They are tops.

The service person arrived on time. Checked the heating system and found no problems. Everything went smoothly; the service person was professional and helpful.

We were very pleased with them. They came to give an estimate immediately. They were late to come though.
