Jacobson Heating & Cooling

We had a new furnace and A/C installed three years but have had continuing problems with the A/C. At the most critical times, the A/C will not operate. Sometimes we can turn the thermostat off and then on to get the condenser to operate. They have made made several service visits but the problem exists today. It appears we have purchased a unit that may be labeled a "lemon".

Their tech, Kevin, came out earlier than anticipated. We were having an issue with the air conditioner and he checked everything thoroughly and quickly. He also found a problem with the motor of our furnace and ordered a new part which is still under warranty. He also installed a new thermostat. I feel like customer service is very important to Jacobson's as they took great care of us!

We have a contract with Jacobsons and so it was time for our AC to be checked and everything looked perfect! David is the technician that we request every time and he knows everything about our furnace and AC and always does an excellent job in informing us if anything is wrong and we have complete confidence in him!

They're good. They're reliable and they know what they're doing. They're specialized on residential furnace and AC. They also have a late service until 8pm.

I would like to thank David from Jacobson Heating and Cooling for fixing my air conditioner after it stopped working today. I called during emergency hours and David arrived within the hour. It went very well and our service was promptly scheduled. Matt, the technician, was most personable and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem as a dirty flame sensor which he cleaned, resolving the problem. He also checked other vital components at the same time. . All in all, this was a great experience which proved to be quite cost effective. I would have no hesitation about using them again.

No BS, straight and to the point on the quote, when to have maintenance, etc. Gave us clear options and recommendations. A few days later, the installers showed up, nice crew, had the system installed and the old one removed by end of the day. City inspector came out, found no issues and signed off on the install. These guys don't waste your time or oversell. You can't go wrong picking Jacobson.

Jeff provided a very thorough estimate and answered all our questions about the process. We felt like we knew what to expect at every step. The work was completed within the time frame provided and the crew (Brian, Matt, Justin) was very professional. Given the large scope and expense of this project, it went very smoothly. As relatively new homeowners, we are really glad to have found a company we can work with for the next 30 years we own this home.

I was able to schedule same-day service, which was really nice considering my house had no heat! Technician was friendly and professional and quickly diagnosed the problem. Price was very reasonable, and there was no up-selling or pressure.

The Jacobson team was showed up a little late but had two crews that finished the installation in about 4 hours. The team was courteous and kept everything nice and clean. There was one small repair that was required after installation, however Jacobsons was quick to respond without any issues or additional charge.

The installation team was courteous and considerate. While the crew arrived a little after their schedule start time, they brought extra help to ensure the work was completed as planned. They did an excellent job of cleaning up after the work was complete and they walked me through all the features of my new system.

They did a great job!! it was very expensive but I can't say I know how mucho would have been somewhere else. They told me the service charge was going to be deducted and they were going to help me with documents for taxes deduction if I use them to replace the air-conditioning that didn't happened. I was happy with the overall process.

Let me start out first by saying that I have ALWAYS been a VERY LOYAL customer to Service Professor. I have (had) been a member of their "service plan" where they come out 4 times a year to check over:A/C, Furnace, Plumbing and Electrical. All for about $10/month. I always recognized that to be a value;however I was very much in tuned with the way in which they quote service. Let me give you an example. Plumbing comes out checks all the plumbing features in the house and then proceeds to inform you that most everything needs to be replaced. In one visit in particular I was well aware that I needed to replace the faucet in the main bathroom of the kitchen, my quote was roughly $350...to install a faucet. I'm not stupid I thanked him for the quote and put the faucet in myself in about an hour. Another example...the electrician comes out checks everything out and suddenly I need a completely updated electrical panel in the basement. Again, not stupid I thanked him for the quote and told him I would think about it. Before I continue, I want to be very clear. Service Professor hires very good people! They are likeable and you feel comfortable with them in your home. ALWAYS very respectable. The owners at SP are sharp guys as well. Again, despite all the hefty quotes I was willing to continue paying $10/month for the service contract. After writing so many positive reviews on their behalf, this last visit made me SICK TO MY STOMACH. Like I said above, my A/C unit was blowing warm air. After the Service Rep spent some time with the unit he informed my 19 year old daughter (I was away on business) that the A/C was OUT OF REFRIGERANT. He said that he would leave me with 3 quotes on repairing my A/C and filling it with refrigerant. Option #1 Add stop leak and fill refrigerant $822 Option#2 Same as #1 but also replace the "contactor" Option #3 Was to buy a NEW A/C unit! Like I said above, I'm not an idiot...did some youtube research and learned his quotes were way off. I contacted Jacobsen Heating they came out looked at the A/C and were POSITIVE that the unit needed a new START CAPACITOR...Tony put it in and he left within 15 mins and a check from me for $120! This is completely unexcuseable and there is absolutely no way they could ever possibly earn my business back. Very disappointed in Service Professor. Do your homework!

From quote, order and install took less than 48 hours! Very quick and easy process! Very, very clean job! Workmen were very pleasant and friendly! Extremely happy with the job! I cannot recommend highly enough! I will also get credit(s) from Consumers Electric soon so cost will be less than listed below. They also installed new programmable thermostat and air filtration unit as opposed to simply a furnace filter. This will improve my indoor air quality and lessen cost and frequency of filter replacement.

Excellent job done quickly and correctly. When the inspector came to review the work afterwords, he said that Jacobson's is always an easy inspection because they do such a good job.

Service call on furnace at first on day one, it was determined and agreed that we needed a new one. Salesman/owner arrived about 45 minutes later. Seemed honest, we discussed options, I got some rebates and discounts and new furnace was installed the next day so we were without heat only one day.

Jacobson's came highly recommended but still managed to exceed my expectations. While not the lowest cost vendor, they were comparable and were able to schedule installation within a week. Very happy.

It went great. Furnace was installed in a days time. Old furnace was an 80000btu but they let me know that with my square footage a 60000btu furnace would work. Very pleased with the service.

The service was excellent. I had the advantage of being able to get quotes on the job.(old furnace was on life support). I got quotes from three others. They were the least expensive and most knowledgeable about the product. I felt very comfortable with my decision. Everything turned out as promised. 100% satisfied.

I had compared three different companies including Jacobson and of all of them, Jeff was the friendliest, had the best rates and offered the most information. The workers were good.
