Description of Work: Gave me an estimate for a new furnace, air conditioner, and hot water heater. Price was "much" higher than the other estimates I received for the same items. Also, very insistent on making the sale and not truly understanding my financial situation.

We double checked the quote that we gave you on 4/9/14 and noticed that the most your job would have possibly run would have been $8,335.00. We also needed to put in a power vented water heater at your home due to venting issues, which generally runs approximately 1000.00 more than the conventional water heater. We checked with the City of Grand Rapids and a permit was never pulled on the job so we have to believe someone cut corners on your job and did not vent the job properly. We pride ourselves on doing the job right and giving our customers a fair price, and we would never endanger our customers by not pulling a permit. Description of Work: Excellent service--friendly, low-pressure, transparent sales visit, competitive pricing, and convenient bundling of subcontracted electrical work. The new furnace is already clearly outstanding. My only regret is that we couldn't budget for a more extensive makeover of the fuse box location, but that would only make sense in the context of a complete basement remodel, which is still years away. Thanks!

We acquired bids from two other established businesses but decided to contract with Jacobson due to confidence in their appraisal of our needs, product choice, price and installation quality. | |The service/installation team was polite, professional, exceptionally tidy and, I believe, quite competent. | |Other people we know have used Jacobson's for years and told us (after we installed our new system) that they we happy with Jacobson's, as well. | |I will confidently recommend them to others.
