Went well. Determined why A/C not working , corrected and did other maintenence.

The estimate I received was lower than other companies. Everyone involved from sales to installation were professional and took the time to answer my questions.

After meeting with the sales rep we set up a date for measuring as well as an installation date. Both appointments were met. The measurement was delayed due to an emergency on their part, however they called and came right over after that was clear. The installation went smoothly and quickly. The installers smoothly removed the old equipment and put in the new. They also ran new pipes, and had the electrician run wiring. The job was completed in one day and we were able to enjoy the air conditioning that afternoon. A side note, the electrician also replaced a faulty switch for us at a small additional fee. (he asked for $10, but all I had was a $20 so I paid him that as it was decidedly worth it to me.) Everybody was friendly and highly efficient. Decidedly a worthwhile experience.

I am very pleased with Jacobson's. As a complete novice, I felt respected and that they were honest and very helpful. The person who came out for the estimate provided the range of possibilities and did not try to push for the highest end. He asked relevant questions and made a recommendation that I was happy with. The only part of the experience that I didn't like is that I didn't call until the air unit failed and it was the beginning of a heat wave. We had to wait for the estimate and wait for the service - it was about a week or so in 90-degree weather. My fault - not a criticism of their service. I've been very pleased with it ever since, with plenty of opportunity to enjoy the air and the heat.

There were no surprises. They came when they said they would, did what they said they would do, and charged exactly what they quoted. They obtained a permit from the city for the installation (like they're supposed to -- but not everyone does!) Perhaps not the cheapest company around but definitely not the most expensive. The high cost was my choice -- I opted for a 16 SEER air conditioning unit while most people just get the 13 SEER for quite a bit less, and I also had them install a 4" air filter system. They explained all the options to me and did not pressure me into a high-cost purchase.

Old furnace went out, called Jacobson, within one week I had a new Amana 95% efficency furnace installed. The job took two techs approx 5 hours. Very friendly and helpful. I will be calling them for future jobs like this.

I called the company on Monday and had the appointment set for Wednesday afternoon. We had a powe outage Wednesday, so a quick call got it rescheduled for Friday (no firm restoration time was available). The tech arrived well within the scheduled time, (set up for 1 - 5:30, tech arrived approx 2). He immediately went to work, checked out the furnace, asked a few questions and gave a few pointers. Cleaned the unit and it has worked fine since. Also, a quick check on the company's website included coupons so I was able to take $10 off the price.

One of three companies that submitted an estimate. They explained options and answered questions during the estimate stage (and answered follow-up phone questions prior to my accepting their quote.) Completed work in one day. Removed old furnace and cleaned up afterword. No complaints.

Serviceman arrived on time, he was professional and helpful. Answered all my questions in regards to my furnace (I just moved in last fall and wanted to make sure it was running okay). Made some helpful suggestions regarding filters.

Found water leaking and breaker tripping which caused the thermostat to not work. Called around 7 am and spoke to an answering service. Received a call before 8 am from the company and they had a repairmen at the house at 8:45. Tony very quickly evaluated the situation and worked on cleaning the pump by pouring vinegar into it and hot water to flush it. I was told that bleach should be put in the pump monthly to help keep it clean. Helped with cleaning the filters and replaced the Media Filter. He explained the importance on maintenance in order to reduce energy bills and to keep the furnace in good working order.

Jacobson's was my third bid for this job. The first was from a home improvement store after their home improvement salesman caught me in the shoe department (again). The second was from a company which regularly sends me postcards in the mail. I chose Jacobson's as my third choice because of its high rating on Angie's List. Jacobson's bid was lower than the home improvement store's and about half of the second bid, with the same ten year labor and parts warranty as the second bid (which the home improvement store did not offer). I chose Jacobsons. They came and did the job in one day and then came back to check the furnaces out. One furnace didn't kick on even after that so I called back. The following day another serviceman came out to troubleshoot and found that the manufacturer (Amana) had put in a defective weld. He corrected the problem, and after that both furnaces worked fine. I also found the Jacobson's sales representative much more honest than the other two.

They were professional and fair. The price was good and they did good work. They showed up on time and worked with my schedule and were very responsive.

Company representative visited about a month ago to give us an estimate and explain the process in detail. Answered all questions and helped us identify what would work best for us. Had no agenda other than helping us determine what we wanted. Easily scheduled installation when it was convenient for me. Came and removed old units and installed new units in less than a day. Made sure I knew how to operate everything before they left. Don't be concerned about the price above, we picked some high end options. They were the best estimate of three companies we interviewed.

The serviceman was very thorough and helpful. He explained that there was nothing wrong with our heat exchanger (the part that the service man from the other company had condemned). He cleaned off the heat shield and the heater was up and running with no carbon monoxide leakage (as was suspected by the other company). He saved us approximately $3000 in a new heater.

Initial quote was not as detailed as it should have been. Company was able to answer all questions regarding the process. Selected Jacobson due to their price and comments on Angie's List. Installers were friendly, kept the house clean, and left everything in good shape. After they left, I ran furnace and was concerned about a whistling air noise and another vibration. A serviceman returned the next day and solved both problems.

He was fast, left me the box with the part number, and only charged me an additional $25 for after hours work.

Jacobsons sent a service person out the same day as my call. He was polite and knowledgeable. Our part was ordered, they called when it came in and we got it fixed the next day. Very pleased.

WE MET THEM AT A HOME DEPOT SHOW. THEY LOOKED CLEAN CUT AND PROFESSIONAL AND THE OTHERS LOOKED LIKE THEY MIGHT ROB US BLIND. WE FELT THAT WE COULD TRUST THEM IN OUR HOME. THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB.

THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL. I REALLY ENJOYED HOW CAREFUL THEY WERE. THEY DID NOT DAMAGE ANY PART OF MY HOME WHILE INSTALLING THE NEW FURNACE. THEY WERE GENUINELY NICE PEOPLE. I WILL HIRE THEM AGAIN IF NEEDED.

THEY GAVE US THE LOWEST ESTIMATE AND THE QUALITY OF WORK THEY DID WAS WELL WORTH WHAT WE PAID THEM. THE WORKERS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND RESPONSIVE TO MY NEEDS. THEY ALSO MADE SURE TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME SO I KNEW WHAT TO DO AFTER THEY LEFT.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND OBLIGING. THEY WERE PROMPT IN THE FACT THEY CAME OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER AFTER THE OLD FURNACE BLEW UP. THEY CLEANED UP WELL.

THEY CAME IN AND STARTED QUICKLY. IT DID NOT TAKE THEM LONG TO INSTALL MY FURNACE. THEY WORK ALONG NEATLY AND QUICKLY. IT TOOK THEM THREE HOURS TO COMPLETE A GREAT JOB. I AM HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE.

THE PRICE WAS PRETTY GOOD. THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. OVERALL I THINK THEY DID A GREAT JOB. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS THIS KIND OF WORK DONE.

THEY WERE ABLE TO ANSWER ALL OF MY QUESTIONS WITH CONFIDENCE. THEY WERE ALSO ABLE TO HELP ME MAKE ANY IMPORTANT DECISIONS. THEY WERE ALWAYS HAPPY TO HELP. THEY NEVER GOT ANNOYED WITH ALL OF MY QUESTIONS.

I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED A PART FOR IT, AND AFTER I BOUGHT IT THEY TOLD ME THAT I DID NOT NEED IT. THEY HAD NO CLUE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. I HAD TO HIRE SOMEONE ELSE TO REDO THE JOB.
