Description of Work: Grapids has taken care of our irrigation for a number of years now. They come out immediately whenever something isn't working. For instance, someone ran over a sprinkler head, and they came out that day - even though it's such a busy time for them. Great people.

 + -1 moreI had 3 quotes ($2,600, $2,700 and $4.400) for the job. Grapids came in with the second figure, but I was more impressed with their professionalism and desire for the business. It took a crew of 3 guys a total of 2 days to install the system. Despite having a large tractor on the lot and all the work that was performed, the damage to the existing grass was minimal. When the work was completed, I got a nice walkthrough by the crew on the sprinkling system and controller operations when they were finished. They cleaned all of the debris from the yard, and offered to move (or remove) one of the heavy rocks they dug up to anywhere I wanted it. In terms of negatives, I found the scheduling process a little ambiguous. I was told by the receptionist that it would be done at some point in week "1," and on Thursday of that week I called back to see what the plan was. At that point I was told it would be early the next week, which is when the work was actually performed. Couldn't nail down a specific day, though. It wasn't a problem for me, since I work from home full-time, but I'd recommend being assertive if you need to be home when the work is performed. Overall, though, I think Grapids did a good, professional job at a very competitive price. I plan on using them again for my next house, if necessary.
Description of Work: Grapids installed an underground sprinkling system on my 1/3 acre lot in Lowell, MI. They installed 8 zones of sprinklers (7 zones grass and 1 zone for flowerbeds), a wireless rain sensor and controller. .

The owner even came back personally when we found one of the sprinklers was deficient and 10 days later they gave us a courtesy call to ensure everything was working properly. We are very impressed by this family owned company and highly recommend them.
Description of Work: They installed a new irrigation system under my eighth of an acre lawn. There are 6 zones each with 5 sprinkler heads a zone. The men took a day and half to complete the work, clean up and discard the extra material and garbage.
