Requested an appointment via their website on the weekend. They contacted me promptly Monday morning to schedule an appointment for an estimate. They had a person out to provide an estimate that afternoon at which point they also scheduled us for the actual work later in the week. Their employee was right on time for the repair appointment. He got right down to business replacing the pipe and spigot. There weren't any pleasantries exchanged, but he wasn't rude, I'll just chalk that up to it being 8:30am. The work was completed in a timely fashion, even though a few minor hiccups were encountered, none of which were the plumbers fault but had to do with the age of the plumbing. In the end, the cost of the repair came in right in the original estimated range.

The interaction with person on the phone, (I believe it was the owner) was excellent he made it apparent that he knew both the technical aspects of the job, but also how to operate a customer services focused company. The repair person showed up a few minutes earlier than promised, I found him to be professional and knowledgeable. He quickly sorted out the problem and took the steps to get the water heater working correctly as soon as possible. In the end I could not be more satisfied and would recommend Hedland plumbing to anyone.

I had tried to do the fix myself and he told me I had pretty much gotten it correct, but there were a few tricks to it. He showed me what I had done incorrectly so next time I could fix it myself. He also showed me where the shut off valve for the main water was - an important item! He also informed me that I could get free replacement parts from the manufacturer since there was a lifetime guarantee. Overall, it was a bit pricey for a simple leaky faucet, but the $35 coupon from Angie's List helped (otherwise it would have been $158).

They came on time. Diagnosed problem, showed me what was needed, contacted the right people at the city, and the repair work was done quickly. I was at the office by 9:30.

The technician was at my house for 1.5 hours. He augured the drain 3x and said it was clear of roots but that the tiles were bad between the house and the street. Recommended an excavator come out to replace the line. Then I contacted someone to come out with a camera to look down the tile to find out exactly what the problem was. The second service provider found that the the trap for the floor drain was clogged. Once he opened it, the floor drain worked fine. He could find no problem with the line from the house to the street. Only charged me $85 compared to $285 I paid for Hedlund to come out. So glad I took the step to bring in the camera guy. Even if I had gone to the expense of replacing the tile from the house to the street, it would not have fixed the issue I was having.

Our home is over 20 years old and our first experience with a non-flushing toilet occurred on a recent weekend. The problem was with only one of our three toilets, and the blockage turned out to be in one of the drainage lines that also connected to the drain pipe from the sink in the same bathroom. Although this was not a dire emergency, I left a message on Hedlund Plumbing's voice mail on a Sunday evening, and the receptionist called me promptly the next morning. A plumber (Jim) arrived around 8:30 a.m., after phoning to inform me that he would be arriving soon. Jim approached the problem methodically and efficiently, and the toilet was working properly well within a couple of hours. He protected the flooring during the job and cleaned up well after himself. The bill was $160 minus a $35 discount coupon from Angie's List, which more than pays for my subscription! Hedlund did the original plumbing in our home and has replaced a sump pump and water heater since then. The Hedlund plumbers who have done work for us over the years have been different individuals, but their work has been consistent and effective, so I have come to trust this company. Its prices are reasonable, its workers are prompt and highly professional, and I will no doubt call the company again when I need a reliable plumber. By the way, the company specializes in same-day service, which is another reason I have relied on it repeatedly.

My water heater stopped working and was under warranty. I received the necessary parts from the manufacturer and had them install it. They did it the quickest and easiest way.

Great service. They arrived as scheduled and had the old out and the new in within 2 hrs. Our old water heater had lasted 22 yrs and wouldn't hold the pilot light on but they gave us the option of repairing or buying new; buying new meant that we needed new venting because the code had changed, as well as parts, so that needed upgrading. They even provided us with a $50 coupon.

The plumber who came out for the estimate was on time and very friendly. Unfortunately after that nothing else has happened. At this point I would not even consider using the service after the attitude problem of the receptionist that answered the phone and the fact that I still have not heard a word from them regarding my quote.

They were very professional and helpful over the phone, and were able to send out help the very same day. Harry, their service provider, was on time and very friendly. He called before he came to make sure we were home, worked through a stubborn kitchen faucet installation, and cleaned up after himself. Their prices were reasonable, given the amount of work involved, and the discount from being an Angie's list member softened the blow. I would absolutely recommend these guys for any plumbing issue.

It went well. Hedlund Plumbing responded quickly to my voicemail requesting a site visit. The technicians was on time, he explained the work, assessed the situation and promptly began working. He completed the work as expected and stopped to ask clarifying questions as appropriate.

The plumber found the problem and fixed it within twenty minutes. I was very happy for the angies list discount because so little time was involved in fixing the problem. The plumber also inspected and had an estimate sent for some other work that needs doing. Unfortunately their bid was higher than the one I accepted. However I had no doubt that they would have done an excellent job. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Bathtub starting draining slow, then not at all. Tried unclogging myself, but couldn't. Called Hedlund Plumbing and scheduled a appointment for someone to come on an afternoon that was convenient for me. The technician called to let me know when he would be here and arrived promptly. He was courteous, professional and friendly. The drain was quickly fixed and the technician provided advice on how to unclog the drain if it happens again. He also provided an estimate for additional work that could be done to lessen the chance of it happening.

We give them five stars because we were satisfied with the quality of their work. They were very responsive and friendly. They did everything quickly and they were really easy to work with.

We had one of the plumbers at Hedlund Plumbing, Ned, come out to do some work on our 1953 cement slab ranch house. He replaced our drain from the bathroom lavatory sink, provided and installed a nice new Kohler faucet (to match the shower fixtures we also had Hedlund put in last year) a new vanity and top, and ensured adequate venting to the plumbing in for the area. All service was done when scheduled, communication was very good, and the Hedlund folks were professional and friendly throughout. I feel that we received very good value for our money, and once again I have been impressed by Hedlund's excellence in performing their trade. They are an asset to the Lansing, MI area, in my opinion. It's really good to know there are such professionals who can be trusted to do the job well and to treat you fairly.

Contacted Hedlund Plumbing after reading good reviews in Angies List. Information given by Tom during my phone call to company was was well defined regarding the purchase and installation of a bath faucet. Adam called ahead and arrived on time for the installation. He did the faucet installation professionally, including the installation of two new shut off valves and two new water lines, all included in the original price quote. Following the installation, Adam answered a question I had about a small dripping problem in a PVC line in the basement. He pointed out it was a heating air return line and I should review the problem with the furnace installer. I appreciate the outstanding service rendered by Hedlund reps, Tom and Adam. In the future, I plan to check with Hedlund Plumbing first when plumbing support is needed.

I had a kitchen leak, and used the company's email address to ask for some help. I told them it wasn't an emergency, but they never got back to me.

On time, professional, expedient work.

Called for estimate on finding and repairing leak in upstairs bathroom that is draining down onto the roof of the garage and through the garage ceiling. They responded to my request for information within 2 hours, and were ready to come the next day to provide an estimate. Unfortunately they would not be able to provide all the services that I think we will need for this particular problem - plumber, installation, builder. They stick to the plumbing, she said, and I am not knowledgeable enough to coordinate that with two other contractors, so I'm going to look for someone who can do the whole thing in house. I'm giving As for the fast response - I didn't have to waste any time!

Ned replaced a leaking bathtub drain and replaced a leaking drain in a bathroom sink.
