Description of Work: They fixed a leak in a pipe in the basement from the hook-up to the commode in the bathroom. They had to cut a fairly large hole in the Master bedroom wall to reach the pipe, but never repaired the wall afterwards. They also reset the stool.

Description of Work: Kitchen and laundry drain backed up, they came in and snaked the line.

Description of Work: I called Hedlund because of a burst water pipe. They sent a plumber out within a few hours (and I called in the afternoon). The plumber was knowledgeable, professional, and gave me tips for next steps to repair the water damage and how to avoid frozen pipes in the future. I definitely will use again!

Description of Work: The base of my toilet was leaking. In addition I wanted a "taller" toilet seat (So new toilet installed.). The work job was done with professional excellence though I always find Hedlund more expensive. They do great work.

Description of Work: Replaced two toilets. Very responsive, prompt, professional. I wanted a somewhat unusual brand of toilet (Toto). Other area plumbers acknowledged it was a quality brand, but only seemed interested in using their usual brands. However, Hedlund was very responsive to my request. Hedlund's price was much better than another firm I'd used for other things. The plumber who came to my house was pleasant, very tidy and paid excellent attention to detail on the installations. Will definitely go back to Hedlund for other plumbing needs.

Description of Work: Troubleshoot old hot water heater, install new hot water heater and install new sump pump. The experience was good, however I have recently learned that I was required to pull a township permit upon replacement of the hot water heater. While I understand this is my responsibility, I would expect a service professional to inform me of this requirement.

Description of Work: Hedlund plumbing was sub-contracted thru Lowe's on S. Cedar in Lansing. Hedlund came out on a Friday and pulled the tiolet and the vaniety out of the bathroom, then on Monday the new flooring was put down. On Tuesday Hedlund came back to put the new tiolet and new vaniety in, and installed a new facuet and new sink. He was here about 4 hours, and when he was done he just left, well we went in to check out everything. The facuet handle on the cold side did not stop turning it went around and around, then we flushed the tiolet and it did not stop running, and when the old vaniety was pulled out and new one put in there where two holes left in the tile on the wall and he did nothing to cover them up. So we called Lowes's within 10 minutes of hm leaving and he came back about an hour later, and fixed the tiolet, but said the facuet was broken and he couldn't fix it, we needed a new one, we went to Lowe's got the new part and they came out to fix it again (all this was covered in our contract with Lowe's) and they got the cold water handle to work right, then two days later the same thing happened to the hot water handle, called Lowe's again and Hedlund was out the next day to fix it. What mad us mad was that when the original guy left he didn't check anything and didn't say anything, he just left, didn't say good-bye, he just left knowing that parts of the sink were not working.

Description of Work: Our shower had been improperly fixed the last time by another plumber who charged us high rates. We continued to have the same problem with our loss of hot water only in that shower. We decided to call Hedlund's and they were great about explaining what the problem was and how it should be fixed and that they would contact the company about warranty. They kept us informed on the part needed and dealt with the company and got us the part under warranty and charged us with only a service call. It was a reasonable rate for a service call and very professionally done. I had spoken with Tom Hedlund during the wait for the part and he was personable and professionaI and I would recommend Helund's.
