A valve that controlled all the water for our house got shut by accident, then would not open again. i phoned Hedlund in the mid-afternoon. They had somebody at our house within the hour, who efficiently solved the problem. He also replaced two other bad valves that were part of a long story leading up to the problem. It was an emergency, so I didn't price shop. But I assume that the price was fair.

1. I appreciated the easy online scheduling and response time. 2. The plumber called with his estimated arrival time and was on time. 3. He took his shoes off each time he went in and out of my house. 3. He was able to make the repair in a confined space above a 9-ft ceiling. 4. He cleaned up after himself when the project was complete. 5. The price was reasonable for the job he had to do. 6. I will use Hedlund Plumbing for any future plumbing needs!

Gave quote over the phone a couple days before, then came out and performed the job and charged the amount exactly as described. I appreciated their low-key approach, having received one estimate from another company that wanted to (unnecessarily) reline the whole chimney for venting, and another from a well-advertised competitor that had inflated fees unless you joined their service club, which only brought the price down to the market rate. I'm not a big fan of gimmicks, pressure tactics, or add-ons, so I would use them again without question.

prompt arrival, quick assessment and suggestions, fixed the Moen on the spot and returned as promised to install proper parts on the older faucet. No drips! Everything clean and neat and technician was helpful and polite.

Replaced 2 gate-type valves with ball valves and replaced one toilet shut-off valve -- which took a total of one hour -- for $490. Why did I use Hedlund when another plumber highly rated on Angie's List quoted $250? Hedlund came to my house to give me an estimate. While there, the employee helped me troubleshoot another issue (a potential water leak inside walls), even calling another company in to help figure out what was going on. Hedlund spent a total of 1.5 hours doing the estimate and troubleshooting -- at no charge. What Hedlund and the other company told me was of great value and saved me quite a bit of time and anxiety. I could have used another plumber to do the work, but I wanted to repay Hedlund for their advice and the time they spent doing the estimate. Nonetheless, if you assume the parts cost $70, add the time spent (1.5 + 1 hours), and throw in travel time (0.5 hour x 2), the total is 3.5 hours for $420, or $120 per hour. Hedlund does great work, but their pricing is quite high.

Our water heater decided to stop producing hot water on a Sunday. We called a couple of local companies and found they didn't make appointments on Sunday or were too cost prohibitive. On Monday we made a couple of calls and found Hedlund Plumbing. They set up an appointment for Monday shortly after we talked to them. The repair tech, Adam, arrived on time and immediately went to work on our water heater. The heater was very old and after finding out what the problem was we decided to replace it instead of having it repaired. We needed a replacement that was a bit different then the norm and Adam immediately set out to locate one, which he did. It was late in the day before we made our decision so we set up an appointment to have the new system installed the next day (Tuesday). Adam arrived on Tuesday exactly when he said he would and in no time at all had our new water heater hooked up and we had hot water again; the old heater was gone and; we had a bill for exactly what the estimate said. We weren't charged for any of the time Adam spent working on the old heater on Monday. He also told us about a coupon on Hedlund's website that allowed us to save $50.00. We can't say enough good things about Adam and his knowledge and professionalism. He was kind, patient, and answered all our questions. He was so great he will be a big part of the reason we'll use Hedlund's Plumbing again. Another reason we'll use Hedlund's in the future is their pricing, which was less then another local company of similar size offering the same services. We'd recommend Hedlund's to any one - without reservation.

Adam from Hedlund ROCKS.. He was on-time, very quick. Did not try to talk me into fixing things that didn't need fixing. I will use Hedlund again anytime. By the way.. the bill I received was 1/2 the cost of another estimate.

I was very pleased. I always ask 100 questions. They were prompt and clean. I could just tell that the were dependable and good. He told me that the builder had put in cheap garbage disposals, which I'm sure of, and that was the reason I needed a new one.

The plumber arrived promptly and was very professional and friendly. He answered all of our questions and the quality of his workmanship appears to be impeccable. Would definitely call again for any future plumbing jobs.

I purchased the faucet myself and they installed it. They did a good job, but they were a little pricy. I called the company after being billed to verify if that was the typical charge and they said it was. I was able to use the $35 off Angie's List coupon for the service.

I found them of Angie’s List. They were awesome, professional and amazing. I was very impressed with them. They were able to identify the problem which other plumbers could not which was great.

I contacted Hedlund through their "contact us" on their website. I decided to use them based on the reviews on Angie's List. I made contact about May 23, 2012 and asked to be placed on their schedule for May 29th. This was for a repair on my rental property and I had business on that side of town on that day. I was told I would be contacted ahead of time, between noon and 2p and could then meet the technician at the house. At five minutes to 2, I decided to call to make sure I was on the schedule for this day. I was then told that I was scheduled for tomorrow. That was not what I had requested, but instead of making a big deal about it, I left it at that. I wasn't sitting around the house waiting, so it wasn't that big of a deal. The next day.I got the call around 1:30p and headed to the house. The technician arrived, took a look at my project and got started. The pipe in the basement that needed repair had been an original pipe, so after 80-plus years it was difficult to get loose. That took a while, but once he was able to break it free he had it repaired in short order. I figured, since he was there and had all the tools, I would just have him replace my faucet in the bathroom. I figured he would be much faster than me, so he did the work. When he finished he started writing the bill. All in all, he was there a little more than two hours. He gave me the bill (taking off the $35 Angie's List coupon) and the total cost was $230. I was happy, I had guessed right around $200, so all was good. Then, he realized he had not added in the price to replace the faucet. The $230 was just for the main line leak repair. He finally wrote that up and asked for another $120. I was in shock, to say the least. A 2.25 hour job, and they had hit me for nearly $350 in labor costs. I paid the price, unhappily and went about my business. A few days later, I decided I needed to post on Angie's List my experience. Before doing that, however, I thought I would send Hedlund an email and let them know my experience and intentions. I heard back from them very quickly and they realized 1) they had made an error when scheduling my job and I should have been serviced on the 29th, and 2) the technician had mistakenly charged me hour and materials for the main line leak but then charged by the job for the faucet repair. Through new calculations, they realized they owed me about $60, however, to make amends, the offered (and I accepted) to simply refund me the full amount of the faucet replacement charges. They explained that the technician was new to the company and became confused when figuring the bill. They did not make excuses and took full responsibility for the error, just offered the reasoning as an explanation. Following their quick response and very favorable decision, I was very happy with the project. My job was done right, was done well and the price turned out to be one I felt was fair. Thankfully, I contacted them and gave them a chance to make it right.

I have always had good work from them. They are always fast and reliable. The work has always been competent and they fixed the problem. They are a little more expensive.

I would use them again in the future.

Quick, friendly and reasonable charge

It went well. Professional, fast, and clean. I have one minor complaint, as there was a bit of confusion regarding what was scheduled. I was told the first visit would be an estimate, and perhaps some work would be performed, if time permitted. The person who performed the estimate said that he was told this visit was for an estimate only. All three tasks were discussed with this individual, and an estimate was written for all three tasks. A different member of the company came to perform the tasks on a different day, and said one job would be done, but the others might get done if time permitted. It turned out that there was time, however, there was a distinct possibility that this might not have been the case, which would have been pretty silly considering we had a written estimate for all three tasks. Again, this is a small critique, but it seems there is a bit of a communication problem between individuals within the company.

The plumber who arrived (Adam) was very professional and friendly. He fixed the showers first, a very easy fix, and showed me how to clean out the shower heads in the future. Everything else he did went beyond my expectations. I asked him just to disconnect the kitchen sink, but he completely removed it from the kitchen for me. He assembled and mounted the utility sink when I only asked him to connect the water lines and the faucet. Best of all, he supplied missing connectors for my washer and dryer lines and now both machines run perfectly. I was extremely impressed with the quality of work he did and how quickly he could get everything done. I will definitely contact Hedlund Plumbing in the future.

He was in and out of here in under an hour. Everything works great. He was very careful when he came into the house. He put the covers on his shoes. He was careful about my carpeting and my home and didn’t make a mess in the bathtub. He was amazing. He was very friendly. He got the job done and got out of here. He had us work it to make sure that it worked to our satisfaction before he left. He was courteous but didn’t do anything to make him stay any longer than he had to. He got in, got the job done, and got out. He was great.

I initially called them for a repair of my upstairs water faucet which had ceased to operate and inaddition to that was leaking under the sink. The first thing he did was to see if it was a simple parts problem. It was not and he recommended that I purchase a new one and they would come to install it, with no additional service charge. He also stated they could supply one. I am a single mom that works so I let them supply one. At that point I figure I would have all of the plumbing issues looked at that had been being ignored. He address the bathroom tub at that time and removed what appeared to be a dead squirrel but was really my daughter long hair. This made the drain work much better but did not affect the fact that the drain stopper was not functioning correctly. This too required replacement As long as he was comming back I took him to the other problems. First to the kitchen sink where the water pressure was almost slow -figure a one quart pan needing 40 seconds to fill. Anyway when he looked at it the first thing he did was remover the head where he found a large chunk of calcium, easy fix. I did not tell him but the last plumber who came stated I would have to replace the lines. Then we went to the laundry room where I showed the situation with the water drain for the washer. At that time it was draining into the wash tub between the washer and dryer. He suggested runing a new line into the other drain pipe nearby. I agreed and a date was set for him to come back. He arrived on time had all the materials he needed and was at my house for about 3 hours. I wished I remembered his name as he was very genial and professional. As noted above I have used them once since February as a result of a weird event where after hitting the flush bar on my powderroom toilet I went to change the toilet roll and somehow lost control of the brass roll holder which flipped up into the air and landed in the still flushing toilet. I didnt make a grab for it as I thought it was too heavy and awkwardly shaped to go through (also tooo ickey) I was wrong it did go down and did get stuck.

Overall, was very pleased with Ned's service and suggestions. Felt confident in his ability. He was great, and would recommend him to anyone.

They were awesome. They were very time efficient. They were very clean and organized and really friendly. It was a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend them.

The technician called to say they would arrive at a specific time and arrived promptly. Work was done quickly and efficiently. Lower priced bill than I expected.
