Cregger Plumbing, Heating & Cooling

This was on a rental property and I purchased the Angie's List 111.00 for 200.00 worth of plumbing work deal. If I use Mr. Plumber the deal to snake the drain is 150.00 but I have used Cregger plumbing in the past several times and had a major issue the first time I used them. The owner called after my first complaint and stated he would make it better. He did and I appreciated his efforts so I used him on several of our rentals and home properties. However the last 2 times I have had them come out to snake the drains the cost has been outrageous. The prior visit I had them fix a toilet because I was limited on time cost for that trip about 600.00, The recent visit well unfortunately I feel like the price was hiked up to cover the loss on the Angie's list deal. the cost to have Cregger plumbing come out was double that of what I would of had Mr. Plumber do it for (I've used that company in the past they did just fine). Even with the deal I paid over 50.00 more. I sent a response to the email they sent with the invoice stating the cost was very high as well as some other concerns, I never received a response. This is not a good deal! Unfortunately they have lost my future business. Note to Cregger Plumbing: You did good things for me in the past, you didn't need to snake the drain 3 times just once from the inside of the apartment. What the technician didn't tell you is that the drain was snaked 3 times from the outside access to the street which was fine. The clog was inside between the outer access point and floor. once he ran the snake in the other direction it water was flowing fine. I believe this dramatically increased the cost of bill and 300.00 for a drain snake is outrageous.

The service tech also saw me struggling to cut something related to another home repair and used his sawzall to do it for me. It only took a minute but it was way above and beyond. I am using this vendor again today for a new water heater. Their cost is competitive.

Cregger was very responsive in visiting our house to provide an estimate. They were even more responsive, when they were able to schedule the work for the following week. Two Master Plumbers performed the work. The installation was very professional. They cleaned up after they were done and left the area in the same condition as when they arrived.

The plumber showed up on time, performed the necessary work and also installed the shower head and caulked everything. Did a great job!!

After trying (unsuccessfully) to dislodge a clog that was somewhere between the toilet and the sink in my main bathroom, I called in Cregger plumbing to come in to try to dislodge the clog. The clog was causing water from the sink to flow back up into my tub. The plumber tried several different snakes to get the clog out, but he was unable to and said that they would need to cut out the clog. The most likely culprit was since most of the waste line is cast iron (the house is over 100 years old), that a bad clog had happened and really gotten stuck in some corrosion. He said they would have to come back out the next day, but I should buy another coupon ($115 for $200) to put towards that work. Two plumbers came out the next day to fix the problem. They removed my sink and vanity, and cut into the floor and wall and were able to remove the old pipe and clear the clog and replace it with new pvc pipe, and the problem was fixed. They snaked out the entire drain line to the main stack to make sure the clog was completely gone, and put the vanity and sink back in place. They then cleaned the entire bathroom and left everything looking the way it was before they came. The service was professional, punctual, and the plumber was honest with the estimate and time needed. I would definitely suggest Cregger plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing service.

I was having problem with sewer backup in my basement bathroom and slow drainage from my main bathroom. Was told that the tree roots were in part of my sewer line and replacing this line would solved my problem, I had the trees removed and Cregger replaced the sewer line. A few days later I continued experiencing sewer back up in my basement. Jason came out to snake the drain. This did not solve the problem. About a week later, Tom came out and snaked the drain again and pulled out roots from the drain in the basement bathroom. He then said that sewer was collecting underneath my basement floor and would cost between $6100 to $9,500 to break up the floor, replace piping, and close floor. He said that my insurance company would cover part of this cost. I called my insurance company but they would not approved the repair because they said Michigan plumbers were scamming customers. . Although the company and its representatives were very professional, I am extremely disappointed that they were not able to solve my plumbing issues. I need an honest, reliable, qualified plumber who does quality work without over charging to solve my home plumbing issues once and for all!

That was fine. They came out around the time of the purchase date. They didn't charge extra.

There were some issues. Initially, they didn't want to come out but they eventually did. We had a leak after they had left. I had to talk to them a couple of times before they finally came and fixed all the problems. I did pay additional for the services. The pricing was a little bit expensive.

Jeff was professional, punctual, and professional. He put the new faucet in my kitchen. I work was an A and he also was very neat with his clean up.

Bought service through Angies List and was promptly scheduled. However, the plumber who showed up was unaware item and services were already purchased and led to much confusion including a sales pitch. After it was all figured out, he replaced sump pump for the prepaid price.

The service was fine. It ended up being really expensive. Nothing was broken down like I didn't know what each individual thing he did which that's all he did three toilets but I still owed him $355, so for those inside of those three toilets to be replaced it was like $550, which I felt was pretty high. One of the toilets I had actually bought a kit to go inside, so he did use that. he only had to use two of his own. I just thought it was too expensive. The work he did was excellent. I guess I just was sort of up in the air and I don't know how you determine would determine what their fees are upfront when they call you. The only thing was their fees I think and it was probably my fault that I should have asked what they charge for things when they called.

Greg replaced a check valve to backup sump pump that blew off. It was too short to hold pipes together.

I brought this deal in July 2015 and Creggar's install the hot water heater the same month. I wrote a review about being totally satisfied their service and performance on 7/12/2015. I did not order the deal you have listed for a review on Dec. 10, 2015.

They were at my house promptly on the day I requested. The technician assessed the problem, the age of the water heater and advised replacement. However, I cannot do so at this time. I asked if it would be acceptable to replace the dip tube for the time being, until such time that I can afford to replace. He suggested a coupon in Angie's List for a bargain for replacing. He ordered the part and set up an appointment to install the dip tube on Saturday. Around 10 AM on Saturday, Cregger called and asked if it was a good time. Within 15 -20 minutes, Jason, the technician appeared. He performed the fix efficiently and quickly. He cleaned up excess water from the floor, took the coupon I bought from Angie's List and said I was all set! Great service. Second time i have used Cregger. Will use them again in the future!

Great service provider. Will definitely be our families plumbing service in the future should we need additional work in the future. They were quick to respond to the service call and even came back out when an issue needed to be looked at a second time. Great customer service from the staff that calls to the on-site tech. Work was completed in a timely manner and the areas were cleaned up afterwards. Great service provider!

Used a small Angie's List coupon and then paid an additional $90 or so; the faucet install took substantial time due to the confined space/cabinetry. The plumber also did a quick (and most appreciated) adjustment on a toilet, stopped a minor leak on a newly installed utility sink, and gave me an estimate for some future work, gratis. Plumber was very prompt, professional, cleaned up after the job, and happily answered my questions. I was very pleased with the work and would not hesitate to call this company again.

The gentlemen was very pleasant and friendly. He was very knowledgeable and fixed the problem I a matter of 15 minutes. I would recommend this company to my friends and if needed, I would call them again.

It was okay. Their regular prices were so much higher than my regular plumbing service that the big deal almost didn't pay enough for anything. I was hoping that they would fix several things but their prices were so high. I was just able to afford for them to do one thing. They were prompt. They were readily available to come and give me a bid, which I quite honestly wasn't expecting that step. Their work was very good but their prices were high.

The service (using SnapFix) was quick and easy to schedule. I scheduled it through "SnapFix", because it was a relatively straightforward job, and I wanted to try out that service. It was very convenient, but ended up costing me a bit extra. The plumber they sent was knowledgeable and professional. The work was done quickly, the results look good, and everything works smoothly.

Friendly service. The work was straightforward but the plumber was not pushy and did the work as expected. He serviced one commode and inspected all the other bathrooms for leaks and needed repairs. One shower handle had been installed wrong by the previous owners. He identified the mistake and fixed it using a spare part he already had. Overall, I was satisfied and would use him again.

Cregger gets and A++++++++++ The cost was $185 however I had purchase $200 worth of plumbing for $111 so I have a small credit. I have no idea why it took so long to join.

He came out in a timely fashion, he was friendly and thought very highly of himself. He bragged about how good his company was. He was in my home no more than 15 to 20 minutes. We were happy with the job, but we didn?t like the fact that he was so full of himself. He proceeded to tell me that I needed to get new sinks and a garbage disposal which at that time was not a priority for us and quoted us $600 to install a new double sinks and a new garbage disposal. He said my sinks were rusted and could bust at any time. We talked to another plumbing company and looked at my sink and he stated that my sink is still good for at least another 5 years. I asked him how much he would charge to install two new double sinks and a garbage disposal and he told me he would charge me $200. I was not impressed with Cregger Plumbing Service at all, I will not recommend him, and we weren?t happy with this company.

Receptionist when we called was courteous. The workman arrived on time and completed the work quickly. Hauled away old toilet. Checked for leaks before he left. Very satisfied with the job.
