Description of Work: Cleaned two fireplaces and installed two chimney caps. The chimneys had not been cleaned for a while and were fairly dirty. Stan and his helper did a great job, taking the dampers off and scrubbing out the chimneys and fireboxes. Stan also installed two chimney caps; something I had been wanting to do for some time and he gave me a discount on them since he was doing the other work. Stan and crew were friendly, courteous, professional, and easy to talk with. He will send me a card when it is time for the next cleaning. I will use him again.

Description of Work: They inspected the fireplace and the chimney during winter with lots of snow to work around. They recommended that we recap the top liner so we had them do it.

Description of Work: They inspected the chimey and cleaned it from top to bottom. They inspected our wood burner and instructed us on what type of wood to use and how to prevent creosote build up. They also offered basic do it yourself improvement suggestions for the wood burner.

Description of Work: We had 7 birds fly down our chimney and land in our fireplace below. After rescuing all 7 of them, we waited several days to make sure the birds were gone, and then called Stan. Despite the bad weather we'd been having, he came twice, once to assess the situation, and the second time to place a cap on our chimney. Stan was prompt, courteous, and efficient in the performance of a rather dangerous job that required multiple ladders to reach a very high chimney opening. We are very satisfied.

Description of Work: Stan did two chimney caps for me no problem. look great. I needed a hook up for a gas fireplace and called Stan's. Two guy's and a truck showed up and quoted me $750.00 ....I think they were contract????? Bad new's! I had the hook up done for $150. Prior to this Stan (himself) did a cleaning job for me that included two gas fireplaces. He cleaned and adjusted and I was happy with that work.

Description of Work: Just moved into a house and I never had a fireplace before.Decided to have the chimney cleaned for preventative maintenance and for insurance also. I searched Angie's List and Stan's seem to have good reports. They called and asked if they could move me up and provide service a hour earlier which was good. Arrived very friendly, wore booties when entering my home, layed protective sheets down on my white carpet to prevent problems. Did a great job offered insight on a repair to be addressed, price was as quoted. Overall great experience and I will use their services in the future.
