Great! Showed up on time for estimate and responded quickly. The crew was awesome! Professional, courteous, clean and tidy, attention to detail, thorough... I could go on! The job took longer than anticipated and we ran into a few hiccups - but the price didn't change, my hubs am and I are so pleased with the way it all turned out! We're trying to figure out why we waited so long to do the work? .... Oh yea we hadn't found HFAD!

Both jobs went well. 1) Backsplash prep was done well, on time and well below the quoted price. Very happy. End result was great. 2) Sidwalk looks good and works good. Wanted nothing fancy, just replease the old with new. Arrived on time and finished on time. Cost was below quoted cost. Currently quoting on a tile kitchen floor install. We are still undecided on our direction, but Husband for a Day will get whatever portion my wife does not want to do, or can convince me to do. Good work and thanks. There is plenty more work that we intend to let Husband for a Day do.

Awesome. The guys were so professional and courteous. This is the only contractor I will ever use They picked out all the appliances just as I wanted and exceeded expectations. It went really well from the first call to set up an estimate all the way to the final bill... There was very good communication, follow thru , punctuality and professionalism. The only problem we ran into was the weather ...it caused our first day to be cut short and so the actual length of time to finish was a little longer than estimated. We were pleasantly surprised by the team showing up right on time. They also took time everyday to clean up the site. There was some unexpected water damage found after the old gutters were removed. We were given various options and costs to correct the problem ....that was the only additional cost above the estimate . Our house looks great and we are very happy we used Husband For A Day. Dale, Chris and Aaron were great! In fact we are getting another estimate this week on some other projects .

It has been over a month and I have never been contacted. This was the first time I used Angie's List.

Waterproofing request went well. Painiting didn't. If people do not want to do the work, just let me know.

We got an estimate from Dale and two other contractors. His quote was in the middle, and he was very clear and detailed in the contract. The total price above was total for all materials and and labor, including the new LG front-loading washer and dryer. Dale was our primary consultant, while Doug was hands-on each day. All the crew were pleasant, extra helpful, quiet and professional. Clean up each night was thorough. All the work was done to our satisfaction, even rehanging the shower doors to get them perfect. Not happy with the painting, but that's my fault for not requesting a sturdier paint (semi-gloss?). The floor is beautiful! We are in the process of contracting with them again to floor some other areas. They are definitely recommended!

Love these guys! Very high quality work. Polite and cleaned up at end of every day. Our project got bigger as it went, but they were always positive and when this caused overlap on their next scheduled project, they were determined to work doubly hard to accommodate our changes. The men always were positive and had a "can do" attitude. I cannot say enough about how great this company is ... I am hesitant to because I want them available for me when I need them again!

They both did a wonderful job - they were prompt, polite and even took their shoes off before they did their work inside. I would definitely hire again!

We are repeat customers and this is another work order request of several we have had HFAD do in our other home. We recently moved to a new home and hired them to update electrical for appliances; remove old and install new washer, dryer, and fridge. Chris and Jim arrived promptly and worked diligently. They had been assigned to a couple of the other jobs in our previous home so we were pleased to have them back! They do great work, and they genuinely seem to enjoy working with each other. Both are very friendly an good representatives of the company. They seemed comfortable with us as we are with them, and overall they made this service call yet another great experience. They had worked several hours, went to Home Depot to obtain additional needed supplies and materials, working consistently and confidently. I greatly appreciate that both Jim and Chris are very knowledgeable and seem to care about doing a good job. I do feel that I am getting quality work as I am very pleased with the outcome. Also, I appreciate that they take the time to explain things to me. They showed me the water line and water filter system for the refrigerator and how to service it annually. They even priced out the cost of replacement filters for me while they were at Home Depot. They also explained a few things on how the septic and sump pump worked, and general maintenance tips, etc. I take away some valuable learning tips about how things work when I ask them questions, and they don't mind that I ask them. I also like that they make me feel as though they care about my home as I would want done. These are valued service skills not often found from service people these days. An important notable comment is that Chris has exceptionally good interpersonal skills and does a great job of building positive professional rapport with customers. While I knew that the work they were doing was going to be more than the initial estimate of roughly $350-400, it was more than I had expected. When the work was finished, he respectfully came in and sat down with me and my husband, showed us the itemized list of parts and work performed with all the related receipts. He just had a kind, thoughtful way of approaching that uncomfortable moment when you have to ask the customer for payment in full. He was notably supportive and explained all the charges. Even though the price ended up to be $615, I feel this was a fair and accurate bill including labor and all. They were here for several hours and were absolutely great to have working in our home. I would never hesitate to hire this company and any of their employees. However, these two are particular stand-outs as stellar employees for HFAD in my family's opinion.

Very happy with them, they were on time and professional. Offered suggestions when asked. They price was as quoted, no surprises. The quality of their work met our expectations. All in all, a great experience and would both recommend and utilize their services again.

Very professional from the estimate to the actual work. The job was over two days, they arrived on time and got right to work. they were friendly and knowledgeable. They let me know when they were leaving for lunch and when they would return. They cleaned up and discarded any debris that resulted from the work they were doing. Bathroom floor looks great and the front door and screen door are sturdy and secure.

A friend recommended Husband For A Day. Last fall they completed a smaller project for us, and we were pleased with the results. For this latest project Doug and Chris arrived every day at the scheduled time. Their focus was on the work they needed to do. When they had questions, they asked them. A few times there were some complications. They explained the situation so we could make a decision. They were interested in what we wanted done. They were professional. We were comfortable talking to them. The fireplace is beautiful, and the mantel is outstanding. The foyer floor is a great addition. They did a great job with the painting and closet doors. We did not get other estimates for the work. Husband For A Day does quality work, and that is what we are looking for. We would recommend this company to anyone who has work that needs to be done.

ESTIMATE: Prime and paint cabinet boxes - didn't mention spray painting and sanding between coats and final top coat Install new Shaker cabinet doors that are already primed and painted with hinges. Retro fit drawer fronts with new Shaker fronts. Install (2) bifold doors I found a cabinet maker online who can make (22) doors and (6) Shaker door fronts, primed and painted in by paint choice for $1,400. The total labor estimate from Husband for a day came to $4,074. YIKES!!!! Kraft-maid cabinets are only $6,500 and approx $1900 for tear out and installation from Lowes. I will do-it-myself. There are some ladies on you tube with good instructions.

The young men that work for Husband for a Day are most excellent. They were professional and took great care to get the job done well. I love the new look of my home, my neighbors are stopping by to ask about the work and all I can say are good things. Last month I had our full bath remodeled and I love it. The next thing on our list is a Kitchen remodel and I wouldn't want anyone else doing it. I can not say enough about these guys, they know what they're doing and it shows in their work.

Used Dale and the team for an extensive kitchen remodel, which included a change in layout which required numerous electrical and plumbing changes. The team gutted the kitchen down to the drywall and executed a high-end remodel with Wolf appliances, a custom, built-in range hood, along with many custom detail touches. Very happy with the work performed and we are enjoying the compliments on the new kitchen! Also the team installed a matching bathroom vanity and has done some other handiwork throughout the home. Very nice family to work with!

They were fine. They are the only ones we use. They are expensive.

It went fine. They seemed to know what they were talking about. They seemed to understand everything that needed to be done. I thought they were extremely expensive for what they provided.

This has been the best contracting experience we have ever had! And if you have ever hired a contractor, you know this is rare! From the initial phone call they were very pleasant and easy to work with. We told them we were in the process of putting our house on the market and we needed some things repaired, replaced, and painted, etc. They sent someone out the next day to give us an estimate on the work we needed done. We called a few days later and scheduled them to come out and start working. Jeff was awesome, he is truly a professional. He was quick, efficient and did amazing work! He came out on 2 different occasions and each time he was great. We will definitely hire them again for any of our contracting needs in the future, and most definitely recommend them to anyone that needs work done to their home! Great job guys!!!

The Husband For a Days guys were great! Dale came to my house to give the quote. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Dale started the electrical work with his son Matt. The next few days Chris and Jim came. They both were polite, competent, efficient, and worked well as a team. I felt I could trust them to do good work - and they did. Dale did all the mudding after the guys hung the drywall. Matt and Chris are doing the sanding today. Dale and crew do a great job! I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

This is the second time we used this company. It is a family run business with prompt, knowledgeable, and professional services. On this visit, Jim and Chris did an excellent job, completing 99% of the work in the same day. They will return to replace a couple of parts on a back side porch light, and to replace the transition strips they installed on the floor. They are being replaced because we wanted silver rather than goldstone - purely pickiness on our part. When I asked about changing it, they didn't scoff and assured that it was no problem. I sincerely appreciate the polite, kind service I receive from Andrea when setting up estimates, arranging costs, and scheduling service. She makes the experience for customers very easy. When I spoke to her the first time I casually mentioned finding them on Angie's List and she gave me the Angie's List discount on all the labor charges on my estimate. I really value that! The experiences I have had with the six or seven people that have worked with us so far have all been very positive. Everyone is professional, polite, very knowledgeable, and I felt confident that they were doing great work for me. The end results are excellent. My family is very pleased with the work that this company has done. Highly, highly recommend!
