Dale and his team ( Chris ) did great job! very professional and easy to work with. Have know them for more than 5 years and trust them. They stand behind their work!!

Came in January and had to tell us that there was a thick sheet of ice covering the pipe. They offered to come back and do the clearing free of charge when it warmed up and the ice would be melted. They did that last week as soon as we called them. They did a great job and were very professional and courteous!

High price per hour. Made sure to walk downstairs for every nail to add time to job. Took 25 minute break and was going to charge me for it until I complained. Made me sad they are local. I thought they would be more ethical.

Too long for a response and then the rates shared were extremely high. Way too high. Didn’t call them back to discuss and went looking elsewhere. Lady, when called back, was pleasant.

Dale came right out and gave me a quote. Very reasonable so I hired them. Took 2 months before they could start as they were booked up. Which worked out well. They worked fast and quality work was done. I kept adding on thing and he figured out the cost and did the repairs. Cost overall was very reasonable and the work performed was top notch. I recommend them to everyone I know.

The 2014 shed job needed a call back immediately as door was gaping and not closing tightly. They were prompt in their response. Only one coat of paint was applied to the new wood, not adequate in my opinion, but I didn't complain at the time. Now, four years later, the plywood is pulling away from the beams because long staple type fasteners were used rather than wood screws. The second job, done in 2016, was unsatisfactory from the start. The work included installation of new door and installation of brick molding and flashing on leaking door. Painting, patching and caulking of both doors was included in the price. The door that was leaking leaked even worse after being repaired and only one coat of paint was applied over holes; no patching was done. Some areas were left completely unpainted. I called and someone came out to do another repair. He said that more work had been done than was necessary and a simple caulking was done. Leaking problem was solved. He also said that someone would call about fixing the poor paint job, but nobody ever did.

Scott and Chris are the best plumbers we have ever hired. They both came same day we called and they were respectful and very skilled. The price was very fair. We would definitely hire again and recommend them.

So happy to now have Husband for a Day to call when i need anything done!!! Prompt, proffesional, and good at what they do! I had custom made shelves put in a 1930’s locker set and curtain rods hung, doorbell fixed... i do not hesitate to recommend!

Chris and Aaron were incredibly punctual, professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. Dale the owner was great to work with in getting a very reasonable quote and they fit us in exactly on the day and time we needed them. Kim was great in setting up the appointment. Had to change the date due to the delivery of the new appliances and she accommodated our request without a flinch. HIGHLY recommend this company. for just about any household project. The name of the business says it all and they went above and beyond. Happy wife, happy life.

Very well. The workers were very efficient. As they encountered a couple of issues,, they communicated with us immediately and we came upon resolutions.

Dale responded quickly to my request for an estimate and was on time and very professional. The work was agreed to and two employees showed up exactly when they said they would. They were helpful and made suggestions to save money. I left for work and when I came home it was all done perfectly and everything was cleaner than I left it. Will definitely recommend!!

We were already frequent customers of theirs and used them a lot in the past before requesting their help with a large amount of projects within our Dental Clinic that required a handyman. We mailed a %50 deposit for work, and they didn't even finish half of the work before they became completely unresponsive to emails, phone calls and voicemails. They left us with an uncompleted job an no explanation, and we have never been able to get in tough with them to reschedule the remaining work that we have a signed agreement with them for and already paid for half the work. Huge disappointment and very unprofessional.

3 hours late without a phone call. 3 calls to the office and 1 to the owner. Finally a returned call that informed me installer went to wrong job. They were pulling another crew off another job to get mine done. Once they arrived, professional and courteous and gone within an hour.

I called for the work in mid Sept, and finally met with the owner on Oct 12, 2017. He wrote up the work and I agreed on the spot. I asked about fixing the hole in the exterior trim prior to winter, and he said of course they would. He said someone would call to schedule and after weeks passed with no contact, I called and left a message (no response), and then I called again. Finally on 11/16/17 the office manager called and said they couldn't complete my job. She explained that they had taken on 3 large kitchen remodels from a good referral source which were more important than my job. I asked why she didn't call earlier and she said there was poor communication at the company. She said she didn't want to tell me someone could do the work because in "all honesty" they most likely couldn't get to it. I told her the time for "all honesty" was when I met with the owner, and that now, "in all honesty" I was going to give the company a bad review for being unreliable. She said that she's heard that a lot lately. Very interesting to know I am not the only one that was dumped for a more profitable job after waiting for nearly 6 weeks. This company gives husbands a bad name.

Called mid Sept, receptionist said earliest appointment was made for Nov 13th, 6pm. When we left message for them that day Nov 13th, that we were available earlier, receptionist called back saying "Oh he is stuck in Rochester can't make it till Dec now". If we hadn't called we would have been stood up. She just forgot to make the appointment and came up with an excuse. Seems like when business is good the little guys are forgotten.

I've used Husband For a Day several times and once again they did a great job. The siding and trim on my chimney was in need of replacement due to weather induced rot. I had wanted to replace the wood based materials with composites because of exposure to the elements. Dale came out and gave me a detailed estimate and work was scheduled promptly. This was a difficult job requiring a lot of effort and working in high places because my chimney is not straight or on the side of the house. But both the carpenters and the painter didn't bat an eye. They clambered up on the roof and even up on top of the chimney itself to get the work done and the result looks great! I will be sure to call on Husband For a Day for any future home repairs.

I thought he was professional but I thought his price was high. I went out to a retail store and for under $500 I got what I needed and did it myself. It looked just as nice as probably what he would of done. The price shocked me I was thinking maybe $2500. It would of been like 2 doors or 2 sliding doors. I was shocked and disappointed because I didn't want to have to do it myself. On the professional side he was fine. Being a professional coming to my home looking at things taking time to measure. I went with him because I saw the good reviews he got. Maybe someone would of thought it was worth that kind of money but I didn't. Other than him coming here and measuring, he seemed to be thorough he had the modern tools like the automatic distance finder, to determine how long something was. I think from that I think his measurements were accurate verses using a regular tape measure. I did have to reach out, it took so long to get me a quote back, like a week. I just felt within a couple days it would of been because he didn't say it would take that long of time. I't doesn't hurt to get somebody in for a quote for another project. Maybe that other project might be more reasonable, but I would get a second opinion for something I wasn't familiar with. I had folks who kind of knew about construction and they were surprised to what he was charging for a closet.

They set my quote appointment on July 5th for 5pm on July 21st. Left work early for appointment and they were no call / no show. Very unprofessional and never even called to cancel or delay appointment. Complete waste of my time.

Overall the project went well, took a little longer then anticipated but well worth the wait. House was built in the early 1800's so some obstacles were expected. Both Dale and Doug are great people to work with and would highly recommend.

Overall the project went well. There was one issue where the bathtub and surround we picked out would not fit. A different bathtub was installed without consulting us. Luckily I liked the bathtub, but would of been nice to know before it was installed so I didn't come home and have to wonder why the tub wasn't what was ordered.

Fine. Came when appointed, did work. Price less than quoted.
