Left gaps so air comes in. Did not fill in nail holes Type of guy who nickels and dimes you. When you ask him a question about price, he tells you he's the cheapest around. Didn't like his attitude.

They did get in contact with us. To state they will come out and look at it and gave us a quote for the job. They as of yet have not come out and they have returned our messages as well.

I called Husband 4 A Day to give me an estimate on repairing a rotted column on my front porch. It took them almost a week and a half before someone came out. When the person showed up he gave me an estimate and said someone from the office would call to schedule the work. A couple of days later the office called and scheduled someone to come out on Oct 23rd to do the work, but no one showed up. I called them several time on different days but only got their answer machine. Even after leaving messages they never returned my calls. This tells you a lot about the professionalism and integrity of this company.

We were very pleased. Every worker that came to our home was competent, polite,and welcome back! You hear horror stories about companies that start your project then don't show up again for days or weeks. Not so with Husband for a Day, we had someone here everyday making forward progress. With any project this large we had a few hiccups with vendors or product quality. HFAD stayed on top of it and worked it out to our satisfaction. The project manager Chris was awesome, he got the project rolling at top speed and was willing to listen to our vision. He made sure the work site was kept very clean!! The owner of the company was onsite and very hands on. We developed a great respect for Dale, he is an honorable and honest business owner. We have plans for future work with Husband for a Day. We would highly recommend them.

Shawn & Aaron were very professional - they arrived as scheduled, did an excellent job painting, very careful not to get paint on the garage floor & did an excellent job in prepping the walls for painting. They ran into a problem with installing the "Safety Rack" as the studs in the celing were not located the same distance as the rack & it was very important that the rack be attached to studs for support. They went up into the garage attic & installed new studs the proper distance. They cleaned up the area at the end of the day & left the area very orderly. Shawn & Aaron were very courteous & very willing to please. Dale, the owner, was very prompt in coming out to give me an estimate & very helpful & honest to questions I asked. Andrea, who schedules the appointments & does the billing was also very helpful. I would definetely hire & refer Husband For A Day again.

When I called I was given an appointment for Friday, Sept. 17 at 5:30 when Dale was to come out and give me a price for the work I wanted done. He neither came for the appointment nor called to let me know. I called on Monday to see what happened and my call was never returned.

I called to schedule an appointment to get a quote on removing outdoor balcony railings in preparation for patio door replacement. This is a small job but they said they were interested.

It went well, price was a little higher than I thought it would be but I do have gutter guards so that added a lot of time and some work getting them out and back in correctly. The guy (I think Aaron) did a great job, was nice and professional and worked quickly. Went above and beyond really. Would hire again.

Wonderful job by Husband for a Day. The whole process was very smooth and professional. They started on 7/16/15 and finished on the 22nd. Everyday they worked they arrived promptly at 9:00 and put in a full day's work. I want to single out Jim, Chris, and Sean for the great job they did with our home. They answered many questions that I had and were great to talk with. Sean gave me good tips on painting as I'm doing that myself. Jim gave some ideas for the continuation of our kitchen remodel. I really enjoyed the experience and look forward to hiring Husband for a Day in the future. Thank you Dale and Andrea!

I feel it was very disrespectful to no show on someone. I am currently receiving treatment for breast cancer and we wanted to continue living so we bought a house. It's a bit of a fixer upper, but it is hard for me to get around and to go to the new house and wait for over an hour and no one responding to our call??? I chose then from all the wonderful reviews on Angie's list...very sad they tray people like this.

I would hire Husband for a Day for all of my home repair work! Chris M. was not only on time but he knew exactly how to repair the fixture without having to rip off the siding on my home, which is what some other companies told us had to happen. He took the light fixture off and showed me that the wood behind it was not rotted which is what my husband and I thought was the problem. He gave us a couple different ways to make the repair and helped us make an informed decision. He went right to work, made the repair and it looks perfect. Now I now longer have to worry about water getting behind the siding on my home.

All was GREAT quality for the $25,000 cosmetic upgrades and new deck.... Pricey! Most appreciated cleanliness, politeness, timeliness. EXCEPT whole house hardwood refinish....... They were sanded and "refinished"? But DOG HAIR AND LINT is underneath the finish. There are large areas of thick, uneven finish with drip marks. They did not do the 14 stairs to the second floor. And they did not sand the grey wear areas evenly to match the "non-worn" areas. I inquired during "pre-work" estimate visit if they were experienced and able to perform hardwood refinish, also. Dale said, "Sure". Overall... a grade "C-D". We are now paying $$$ with another company (that just does hardwood refinishing) to redo to whole house LESS THAN 1 year later. Great group of people, though.

I could not be happier with the project that Husband For a Day completed today. I had used this company before with excellent results so I had confidence that I'd be getting another high quality job.. They did not disappoint. Just as before, everyone from Andrea to Dale and his crew members were polite, professional and very responsive to my needs. The attention to detail and craftsmanship was impressive by both the handyman and the painters. I really felt like they took genuine pride in doing quality work and the results show. My 20 year old house looks brand new again! Clean up was immaculate and there's not a stray drip of paint, or piece of wood to be found on my property. You can bet I'll be calling Husband For A Day for my future home repair needs. It is a pleasure doing business with honest, professional folks who do quality work at reasonable prices.

these guys especially Dale are very professional and know their job. if there was an issue with something , they were very prompt in getting back. will hire them again. they do lot more than just handyman job.

Work was never done, estimator never showed at scheduled app't.

Bathroom looks great, wish I could add pictures, we completely remodeled our master bathroom and Husband 4 A Day did an amazing job. The overall project was about $25000 but the labor costs were $13000. We've used this company before and are very happy with how professional and responsive they are. The job took about 5 weeks and the guys were very conscientious about keeping our house as undisturbed as possible. We would definitely use them again.

Substantially better than expected. At first I was nervous about hiring a company that is billed as 'handymen services', but after the experiences over the years with so called professional contractors, I took a chance. SO GLAD I DID! These guys are far more than 'handymen''. For the first time In the 24 years of dealing with contractors for this home, I am looking forward to completing the rest of the projects in this house! This is an old house whose unpleasant temperament has been known to rear its ugly head during updating throughout the years. It is not 'if' something comes up during the reno of an older home, but 'when' it comes up. The true test of a contractor is how they handle it when it does happen. They worked as a team to not only inform the homeowner of the issue when it arises, but also, provide possible options and welcome homeowner suggestions to correct the issue. Doug's eye for detail put this OCD homeowner's anxiety to rest. From the time Dale came out for the estimate, to Doug and Aaron's skill set and professionalism shown everyday, on the job and Andrea's keeping the changes straight, they all know what they are doing AND do it well. It is obvious they all take pride in their work and want the homeowner to be happy with the job. They showed up EVERY day at the time they said they would, until the job was 95% finished because filler products I purchased were delayed. Doug made sure the bathroom was useable until it came in(3 weeks later). When I called to let them know it was in, they were here at MY next convenient time slot. They cleaned up every evening and kept the dust down in an open concept home. I can not say enough about this team....except I'll see them in the near future for the next item on the list.. Fantastic!!!

Excellent. He showed up on time. Was efficient and thorough, and even took the trash away after finishing the job.

I had them give me a quote. It was reasonable, but they were much more than I could afford. But they were reasonable, and I had their work before. They were prompt, reasonable and thorough. They did a good job. If they couldn't be there, then they'd call. They were also clean. They cleaned, as promised.

High-quality, sturdy work done in a timely fashion. Well done, would call for minor repairs and other handymen-like work.

Very knowledgable about what needed to be done to keep the cold air from coming in around my doors. Did not try to talk me into something I didn't need. Thought I needed weather stripping around back door but all I need was a new doorknob unit that made the door shut tighter. Has made a great improvement.

The final results were excellent. They were very helpfull and resourcefull, clean and very cooperative. The only objectionable thing was in my opinion their job planning. I was told that the job was going to be a two day job. Unfortunately it took longer due to items needed for the job not being ready on time.

The two guys (don't remember their names) showed up promptly, did their work well, and cleaned up after themselves. When they left, everything worked as it should.

This is about as good as it comes. Because of the wide variety of things to be done, I didn?t expect excellence in all of them. I was wrong. These guys are terrific. I had to wait about a month until they were available but that?s understandable. People this good tend to be busy and in demand. Six out of five stars to these guys.
