Description of Work: Pulled old dishwasher and installed the new one. Great job and running like a champ a year later!!!

Description of Work: Bathtub conversion, old jetted bathtub removed and new tile and shower floor replaced. The work was completed as I requested. Good communication, job well done and color selection was correct.

Description of Work: I called around to a few handyman services on Angies List and was unimpressed just after the phone calls. Talking the the people at Husband for a Day was a breath of fresh air. They were polite, called me back when they said I would, called in advance to remind me they were coming to give me a bid, and got the bid to me exactly when they said they would. Their bid was within the range of what we could pay, so we hired them. They showed up on time, did great work, were polite, and even threw in a few extra small jobs for free that we didn't ask them to. We have more work to be done around this house we just purchased, and we will for sure hire them again.

Description of Work: Knocked down a wall and finished the area. Removing a peninsula and moving electrical and audio cables. Prepared area for painters. They were great. Dale the owner is awesome absolutely will have them again very soon. Trust to have in my home while away at work.

Description of Work: Husband for A Day moved a wall between a bedroom and a bathroom to increase bathroom size. They also created built in bookshelves and had to redo some of the electrical and repainting. And inverted door swings. Everything has been done in a very satisfying way. Would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: They came and looked at the job and told me they'd get back with me in a few days.. never heard from them!

Description of Work: Was quoted like 170 on phone to install a new waterhose spicket which is in my crawl space.. ended up being 120 when they came out.

Description of Work: They replaced the support beam above garage door and replaced all trim. Job turned out to be bigger than expected, but they did a good job of keeping cost down. The only area they could improve is with communication. They didn't always keep me updated on progress of job.

Description of Work: Had to wait 2 weeks for someone to come out to give a quote about replacing a board and painting our porch. When the owner, Dale, came out to quote the job, he was nice and professional. After accepting his quote, we had to wait one month for the job to be started. When the carpenter came out to work on our porch, he found things needing repair that were not quoted. The carpenter went ahead a made repairs without speaking with us, and then advised we would be charged for the additional work we did approve. When speaking with the carpenter about how much the additional work would cost, he proceeded to complain about how he thought we were quoted too low. After we agreed to pay the money for the additional work, the job was still not completed properly and a large mess from the man's job was left behind. We had to call to have someone come back to finish painting the porch. A person showed up and still did not finish the porch. After a call was placed about holding back payment, the owner Dale rudely called wanted to know what my problem was. After he advised he would call me back to schedule an appointment to come out and survey the situation, he chose to not call and just showed up on my doorstep and was rude, but finished the job.

Description of Work: These guy were on time, at budget, polite, friendly and cleaned up when their work was complete. We will hire them again!

Description of Work: Originally the appointment was made to have my wooden shed doors replaced, since they were coming off the hinges. By the time the guys came out I also needed my roadside mailbox raised and a leaky pipe fixed. They took care of all three things. They did a particularly good job on the shed doors, by the way.

Description of Work: The work that Dale or one of his staff (often his son) has done for us is always done well for a reasonable price and on schedule. They have done a variety of jobs for us from designing and constructing a pergola, to installing railings, hanging new security doors and electrical work.

Description of Work: Outside caulking of trim. Very thorough. One guy talks a lot but both good workers. Honest forthright. Would hire again.

Description of Work: They replaced a set of steps going into the garage along with replacing several light bulbs.Placed a concret step leading from the back garage door to the yard. They were able to fix the gate going into the backyard. Painted the door leading to the backyard. Due to the cold & wet weather they will return back in the sping to weather proof lighthouse in front yard. They will finsh treaking an issue with the gate going into the backyard(not able to open and close smoothly). Will also do the install of a screen door on patio door. They adjusted the bill for the services not performed at this time. They first came on the 12th of Nov. and returned on the 13th to replace the piece of weather stripping they had applied the day before because it was not sealing the door(still had an air leak). It was a case of the new and better product that Home Depot sold Chris was not the better product for this type of door.

Description of Work: They did a lot of maintenance around the house. I was given an estimate for something I really wanted/needed done & after they were hired told me it wasn't possible.
