What the person who came out and gave the estimate and what I received where two different things. I had asked for a move in/out deep clean. I was told they would clean appliances,do the walls/woodwork and bathrooms as well as the floors etc. They did not do the appliances, missed drawers, missed many dirty spots on woodwork and floors, and did ok on the bathrooms. I do not think that the person who gave me the estimate communicated with the cleaner on what I had contracted for.

They did a very nice job. They had to sand it right down to the wood. They finished the job at 15:00 on the 12th of September. They answered all my questions. They cleaned up after themselves. When they would say that they were going to do something then they would do it. They were very prompt. They were never late and they were always on time. They were very pleasant to work with.

the mailbox and board over the opening was fine; - sealing/caulking - initial job not well done; called the owner and although he was responsive and came back and redid the work, the lights were still not sealed all the way around and he did not call back to see how the quality was. I won't use them again for the other items i received an estimate for mainly because it is work that requires attention to detail.

The job went very well, they were very punctual everyday. Always cheery, easy to talk to and explain things to you if you had questions. I asked Dale for instructions on how to care for my floors so I could write them down. Dale is a very easy going individual, so are Doug and Matt, very pleasant to talk to. Dale was extremely prompt to provide an estimate for the repairs. We called the next day to schedule the job. Doug was very prompt to arrive at the scheduled time. He began working on the jobs and even made trip to several hardware stores to find a needed part. Work was completed on time. Very pleased with the professional service provided. In fact, we were so impressed with the service, we called again last week for another needed service.

Dale arrived on time for the meeting for an estimate. He promptly E-Mailed me a written estimate. I scheduled a work date. Dale showed up ON TIME for the work date and proceeded to do the work in a professional, timely manner. He went to a home improvement store to pick up the flooring leaving his son/worker behind to work on the cabinet under the sink. The son/worker showed me how my faucet was leaking, asked for my approval to call his father to buy another faucet at the same store. Dale quoted me an approximate price, and I approved it. The son/worker moved a very heavy desk out of the spare bedroom. He replaced the rotted cabinet floor. Dale resurfaced and replaced the floor and everything went fantastic! Dale and his son, Doug did a fantastic job. I am very pleased. I recommended him to a friend and she was very happy with him also. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

Called him and told him what I needed. He gave me a price at first but later changed it. I asked him to go over the list of what we just discussed. He kept changing what he said when I asked him more questions about what he would be doing. I felt that he was not paying attention to what I was saying. As we were talking he changed his tone and he didn't seem very confident in what he was saying he could do. I just felt like he might have been playing games or maybe he just did not want to do the work. I did not feel very confident with hiring this handyman.

I called Husband for a Day and they came to my home the SAME DAY and went over the proposed project. Dale submitted the quote when he told me he would. The quote was 100% detailed and listed everything that was to be done, no guess work, this protected both Dale and I as we both knew what was expected. I received 3 other quotes from other contractors. All were emailed as requested and all were lacking any detail, most were tile removal and reinstall. Dale was not the cheapest, but I knew everything that was being done. We chose Husband for a day. We scheduled the work to start at 9:00 am on July 12th, they were early. Nice touch. They worked late both days and finished early. We purchased our own wood floor and underlay, I should tell you that it was Dale that measured the floor and came up with 100 square feet less than all three other contractors. This alone saved me $600.00. So they were more expensive but I saved money on the materials, so it was me that came out ahead. Professional, caring, timely, productive, clean crews, and work done on time. I will use again. They just gave me another quote, which we will be doing later this year. I would highly recommend them (and have) to any one not wanting to play the contractor game of hope they will be there and hope that they will be done on time game, not to mention "well that wasn't in the quote" so it will cost you more. They were excellent. They went way above and beyond for us. They didn’t account for a leak when they took some pipes off and here was some water that got on the walls and floor with Draino in it. One of them took his shirt off to clean up the water that was going everywhere. They were incredibly professional and courteous.

Dale is extremely customer centric -- he was punctual (early actually -- but called to make sure that would be OK), was pleasant, provided guidance on ordering additional door hardware items, and performed high quality work. I would not hesitate to use him again in the future. I highly recommend him and his company.

Dale and his co-worker showed up promptly and their dispositions were great. They removed and left their boots in the foyer and went to work immediately. They completed the job in approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. They were extremely professional/friendly. We look forward to having Dale of Husband for a Day do more projects around our home.

The owner is Dale. I took out my old-fashioned concrete porch and they put in a much larger one. The materials were around $1,400 and we did the labor in trade. I had to call them back a couple of times because the sand was eroding away. The price was excellent because it was a lot of work. I would definitely use them again.

Went well. Always on time. Did work contracted, and left area clean. Fair price, discount for Angie's List referral.

I spent $1600 on the job. They did a kitchen tile project. It was an excellent experience. They showed up on time and did the work as specified. The cost was very reasonable compared to quotes I had received from other companies.

It went fairly well. They did a pretty good job, but they did forget some of the trim work around the floor when they were done. I thought it was expensive but fairly well done. The crew was very nice.

As good as the first time I used this firm earlier this year. Prompt arrivals. Accurate estimates. Able to easily complete a myriad of tasks.

Obtained name from Angie's List; made arrangements by phone & e-mail while I was travelling outside the country. Dale arrived promptly, worked quickly and efficiently. dressed professionally in uniform and with a pick-up truck and trailer that was well-maintained and with company name on; I will have further jobs next month and I will hire this company again.
