Description of Work: My wife and I had heard their advertising for years on the Christian Radio station. I live in a home with all Anderson doors and windows. Home was built in 1992. All our doors and windows from Anderson were tired. We could not open half the windows from the years of weathering and the doors mostly hard to open. Not bashing Anderson, just the product has not held up over time and there is no warranty to say different from Anderson. I am in Sales so when it comes time to hiring a company, believe me I am going to do my best to cross my T’s. I had Anderson out first. Very expensive which was not a surprise. Warranty is still not great and with other companies offering a lifetime warranty and considering I was replacing Anderson’s instead of being able to warranty them, I went no further with them as I did not want to be in the same place down the road with Anderson’s product and lack of warranty. I contacted WeatherGard. I believed based on my own research that WeatherGard was the best option of every other company in their same lane. I did not want any fast talking salesman and told the lady on the phone that whoever contacts me back, make sure they are good and honest. The sales manager first contacted me. He was extremely professional and very nice. We set up a Zoom call. I wanted a ballpark figure to get an idea. He was able to help me with that over the phone. It was a bit more at first than I thought, but still much less than Anderson. We had a great conversation. He never pressured me. I would recognize any sales tactics that were poor as I have again been in Sales over 30 years. So far so good. He put the owner on the zoom call with us. The owner was so good. I mean so so good. His demeanor was as patient and honest as it could be. He helped us on selection and pricing to really make us feel good about my moving forward. With a slight bit of back and forth, I could not see myself even thinking of calling any other companies. Shlome the owner flat out sold me on himself and his company and why I should go with them. I cannot say enough good things about how they handled us. This was such a breath of fresh air because trying to find a good and honest company to do business with in the Midwest can be very challenging. Shlome had the knowledge, patience, professionalism without any high pressure or poor sales techniques. He showed me pictures and even what he did in his own home. All on zoom. Took all the time we needed and was just so down to earth. Their product had a lifetime warranty. They looked very nice from what we saw and heard. I was very close to doing this deal and truly wanted WeatherGard to be the one. My wife and I made the drive to meet Shlome at his headquarters in Oak Park. He had a mask on when we arrived. It was the weekend and he met us there and again took all the time we needed face to face. We looked in the showroom and I sat down with Shlome and told him what we wanted. We have decided we wanted all the doors and windows for our 5,000 sq. foot home to be white on the inside and black on the outside. My office I wanted wood grain to match the woodwork. He showed me their wood grain finish. Not a laminate or sticker, but more of a dip. Super look. Not cheap at all. We sealed the deal and I wrote the check for partial down. It would take some time to get the job ready for install. We left happy. We felt relieved with WeatherGard and excited. We loved how the windows had more than just 1 seal. My wife did not want bugs or air coming in and with their windows we see that is not going to happen. All Cardinal glass. Looked great. We talked about how excited we were all the way back to Ann Arbor. I told Shlome I need a good crew to install this job. Our home is a big beautiful Tudor style home and this is a big project and we had an excellent experience on the sales end and wanted the same experience on the installation end. He assured me it would go fine and not to worry. Fast forward a few months. My job is ready for install. Chris, his brother on his crew Todd and Joe all showed up. My lord. My lord. Oh my lord. These guys are not real. This can’t be true. They are so good! They are so professional. Yes they had masks on and they covered things in our home, used drop cloths everywhere and cardboard to walk on so not to damage our floors. They cleaned up after themselves. They never got annoyed with me watching them or asking a million questions. They pointed out so proudly why they are better than anyone else. They used so much insulation which was my big thing. They made sure every window and door went in level and perfect and with all the foam and insulation they could possibly fit. This is their normal. They did not rush, they took their time. I’m telling anyone who is reading this, that this has been one of, if not the best experience of home re-mod I have ever had in my life. They were here 4 days in total. They trimmed everything so darn beautiful inside and out. I told them that as good as the product looked in the showroom that I felt it actually looked better installed in my home. I could not be happier. I tipped all 3 installers $200 each. I was not sure how much to tip them. I always like to tip workers when they are good and work hard and handle me with care. I just felt $50 or $100 would have been in insult. I don’t think they even expected it, but for me it’s just how I am. They were so gracious and so appreciative of my tip. As crazy as this sounds, I am sorry to see this crew leave and feel like this experience was so good that I did not want it to come to an end. How crazy is that?? It was like having friends come stay and vacation with you and when they leave to go home, you feel depressed for a day. I know, but I am telling you I am over the moon with WeatherGard, their approach, their management, their installers, their product and the entire experience from the moment they returned my call to the moment they pulled away from my completed job. I thank your whole team Shlome from the bottom of my heart for being the way you are. Well done WeatherGard!!!!

Description of Work: WeatherGrad put in a window for me in the end of November for Thanksgiving.

Description of Work: They came out and replaced all of the windows in the house.

Description of Work: The windows were installed in the house we moved into on Nov. 2, 2004 and we moved into the house on Labor Day, 2005. The windows have a transferable 35-year guarantee on all windows,parts, labor, and material. One of the windows has now failed, the seals have failed in both the upper and lower panes. Total cost of windows $5500.

Description of Work: I made an appointment for an estimate and no one showed. When I called they apologized and scheduled for the next day. They called and wanted to come early. I agreed. The salesman came late. He did lots of talking and made a big point about price vs quality. The prices was almost $3000 higher that competitors. When I showed him the coupon for 50% off siding on Angie's List, he said it could not be honored! He then played tricks w/the price talking about how it saved time/money to do it today. He also suggested that I was unable to make the decision myself since I had said I would discuss the work and the price with my wife; asked if $7500 would make a sale. I said yes and he said he could not do it for that. On leaving he asked if I was turning down $7500! At which point I said, "Yes" in complete frustration with the whole high pressure sales tactics. Even though they have a good reputation for quality I will never call them again.

Description of Work: Weathergard measured our windows and custom made them to our specifications. The installer was professional and quick. He did not need a whole crew of people like Hansons. He removed our old windows and frames and hauled away all the debris, installed the new windows with precision. A true seasoned, skillful tradesman. We highly recommend Weathergard. They surpassed all others in quality and workmanship.

Description of Work: Installed Premium Vinyl Siding over 2 1/2 days including eave vents and seamless gutters.
