Description of Work: Kenmore wall oven needed an ignitor (a simple job on my model). This part is available everywhere for about 70 dollars. I was charged 90 dollars for the part, about 30 dollars for diagnostic fee, and about 120 for labor -- a total of about $240....and this was with an Angie's List $15 discount. Work was done to satisfaction, but I think the price was too high, compared with other shops.

Description of Work: My gas clothes dryer wasn't drying clothes. Turns out, the gas valve was turned off. So he turned it back on. Had to charge for the visit and "diagnostics" totalling $101.00. If that wasn't bad enough, the repairman tried to sell me a part that I didn't need, saying that the part in question broke down frequently and I may as well get something for the money that I was spending for his visit to the house. So instead of spending $100, I would have spent over $200! No thanks.

Description of Work: Needed repair for a washer that would not go into spin. Sand's had their repairman there they next day. With the part in his truck. The job took maybe 2 hrs. The repairman was professional and found the problem quickly. Replaced the part. Gave me a discount for being an Angie's member and was on his way.

They make the repairs and never try to sell me anything that I do not need. They have reasonable prices and I like that they offer a discount if I pay with cash.

+ -1 moreI called for service and received courteous and prompt treatment from the dispatcher. She sent Mike out that afternoon. He was professional, friendly and experienced. He provided an estimate for my signature before he did the work. He was able to diagnose and fix both of my issues quickly and they have stayed fixed. He removed the access panel on my dishwasher and my refrigerator, fixed the broken part, described how to keep them working well, and gave me good data for assessing whether to go ahead with the fix or buy a new appliance. Altogether this was a terrific service experience.
Description of Work: The spring on my dishwasher soap dish cover was no longer working and the gasket around my refrigerator was running hot.
