Jeff is a straight talking person. He came out and measured the doorways, listened to what we needed and helped us pick out the right doors. His was not the lowest price, but we felt that it was a fair price. J&E told us when to expect the doors to be installed. They were able to meet that commitment. When we called about some minor issues with the installation, Jeff came out and made everything right. We liked the storm door so much we had them install another storm door to replace the one on our front door.

The initial sales and installation process went well, however we had some issues with the overall service, especially post installation. Our concerns with the color of the outside trim (compared with what we were shown during the sales process) were essentially dismissed by the owner/salesman. Also a request for a final invoice was ignored (phone call never returned). Update 6/2011: Another company completed the window installation project for us (Milgard fiberglass windows) and also replaced the trim installed by J&E the year before. The trim used by J&A did not match any of the Milgard color samples which would explain why it looked strange to us after installation.

I called Jeff from J&E installations. He came out to give me an estimate. Jeff was very proffessional. It took a while for the special order sidelight to come in. Because of that Jeff installed the door and a temporary sidelight so that I could have the new door. As soon as the new sidelight arrived , they installed it. The installer, did an excellent job of installing both doors. He was a very capable installer with a lot of experience. I am very happy with J&E. They have a great reputation. When you hire J&E you know that you will get the same excellent job, because they do not use subcontractors. I also , spoke to neighbors and friends who have used J&E and they also had an excellent experience with them. If you need a new door or windows hire J&E.

The experience was just great, right down from the minute we went down to see about the doors and to the people that installed it. The price was also fine. Their professionalism could not have been better, it was excellent. I am a senior citizen, so, they even gave me a discount. They came out when they said they would, at the time he said and called me before coming out. Everything was just the way it should have been.

I called J&E to get an estimate for installation of windows. I spoke with Jeff. He took my name and number and said that Bill would call me regarding the estimate. I never received a call from Bill. I waited several weeks and then called back. I spoke with Jeff again, and this time he appeared to be in a bad mood. He took my name and number again, and said that Bill would get in touch with me. I never received a phone call from Bill.

Jeff from J&E Installations arrived promptly at the scheduled time with brochures of the doors AND a display of locks for the doors. He was able to give me an estimate of the job and an estimated installation date in 10 minutes! I prudently took estimates from two other vendors and not only were they $500+ more expensive, they certainly weren't as professional, and they did not give the impression of making my admittedly relatively small job a priority. On the day of the appointment, J & E's installation person showed up right on time at the dot. He was friendly, professional, and willing and able to answer all my questions. He also focused on installing the doors properly instead of rushing the job, and as such, had to come back a second day to finish the job which I encouraged. I did, however, make the mistake of not ordering door stops when I placed my original order, so I had to wait 8 days for J & E to come back out to install them. Even though it was my oversight, I think that 8 days is too long, especially since I was told that it would only take a couple days for the parts to come in. This delay, along with having to follow up with J & E about my installation date were the only hiccups on the job. Overall, I would recommend J & E to anyone. Their professionalism and workmanship should make any homeowner or businessperson happy.

We had the door replaced in January of 2008. The company was very responsive to our concerns especially since the installation was being done in the winter. They came back three times to make sure all of the wood trim was stained to match and that we were totally happy. They spent a considerable amount of time with us in their showroom. If you are looking for replacement doors or windows give them a call.

Not only did (Jeff) install the door to my satisfaction, but he helped me correct some minor problems I was having with one of my other doors.

Our salesman, Ed (who owns the company with his brother Jeff) provided a very timely estimate, and helped to clarify some of the differences between vinyl, wood clad, and fiberglass for me (I had previously done quite a bit of research). I must have seemed like a pest for the number of times I called to obtain more information after that, but Ed was more than patient and helpful. J&E's prices were right in line (if not a little better than) the other 4 companies I talked to, so we hired them. Ed had shown that he really wanted our business. The installation went beautifully, and I had absolutely no complaints. Their installers Randy and John worked hard not to damage existing surroundings, and seemed to be more than competent. They insulated, trimmed, caulked and painted everything we contracted for (to include drywall and mud on the knee-wall), and the finished product looked as though it had been there forever. After almost 1 year with the new windows and doors, I cannot say enough positive things about our Sunrise windows! Our furnace did not turn on nearly as often in the winter; our A/C does not run as often in the summer (we have not changed our thermostat). AND THE HOUSE IS SO MUCH QUIETER!!! A couple of minor adjustments were necessary after installation and J&E promptly took care of them without issue. In summary - I highly recommend Sunrise Windows and J&E Installation if you are in the market for doors and windows.

We debated for quite some time on vinyl versus wood (Pella) replacements. Researching the US gov website for efficiency finally convinced me of what Jeff had said - Sunrise had the best window. Order placed with J&E beginning of July, promise date was first week of Sept. End of July, order was delayed by 1 week. Week before job was to start, J&E confirmed order with Sunrise. Day before job was to start, J&E called again - order not even started! We were pissed!!! Delay of another week and we were supposed to be leaving for our vacation that same week. Week of installation - rain Mon, no work. Tuesday J&E arrives and began removing windows and replacing them, house was respected and kept fairly clean. J&E was to finish on Wed but continued into Thur and then Thur night - we asked them to leave. All but one window installed, trim not completed, alarm system did not work. J&E returned after our vacation and completed job...still recommended despite scheduling blunders!

See other review for windows time-line. Door installation was coordinated with windows but on-time from beginning, no delays or issues. Completed everything in one day (Friday before windows actually started). Absolutely stunning!

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, ACCOMMODATING, AND PUNCTUAL. THE WORKERS WERE VERY GOOD ABOUT TAKING THE TIME TO ANSWER ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS. THEY EVEN FOUND WAYS FOR ME TO SAVE SOME MONEY. THEY DID A GREAT JOB.
