Description of Work: I contacted HandyPro to install a frameless, bypass shower door. I was given a quote and the person was to show up on 12/31 to install the door. He didn't look at the door before providing the quote. I waited almost a week before our schedules could match for him to be able to do the installation. He arrived on time but then indicated he had never seen a frameless door quite like this and he wasn't comfortable installing it. He took pictures to check with people at other offices to see if there was anyone else who would install it and said he would get back to me that afternoon. It's 5 days with no communication. I have found someone else to install the door for several hundred dollars less than HandyPro was going to charge me. I appreciated him not trying to do something he wasn't comfortable doing, but it would have been helpful to know that when he was gathering information to do the quote and the lack of follow up communication is very poor customer service. Other people in my complex have had positive experience with HandyPro, so I would consider using them in the future and see if I have better results than this time.

Description of Work: Recaulked bath, replaced pull-down attic door, replaced ballast in overhead fluorescent light, attached pull-chain to ceiling fan. Everything went well. The repairman did not leave until everything was fixed perfectly. He even went back to the store to return the ballast and try a different one because the first one wouldn't light properly. Very nice man. Will call him again.

Description of Work: I made an appointment to have a technician come to see the projects I wanted done. I was given the name of the technician but he never showed. I called at least three times to reschedule but either I left a message and no one called me back, or I talked with someone and they had to "get back to me" but never did.

Description of Work: I have a long list of various indoor & outdoor tasks that the estimator documented, measured, & discussed while at my home on 4-15-14. I am STILL waiting for a response as of 5-7-14. No mail, phonecall, or email. I finally called on 5-6-14 and was told someone will get back with me. Bad business practice. I would not have confidence in hiring this company since it looks like they might not even show up to do the work.

Description of Work: Install four new faucets and repair one existing faucet. Construct a handrail on the steps to the garage. |Everything was done quickly and professionally. Very satisfied.

Description of Work: Multiple services used - hung, taped and mudded dry wall, repair nail pops and splits, regrout and caulk shower. Very prompt in coming out for the estimate and the pricing was very reasonable. Clean up and finishing touches were less than what was expected. Would prefer to pay a little more and have the service have the complete and finished look. May have needed different workers for different services.

Description of Work: Deal was expired, but it did not say expired on the my purchase history (said does not expire). In the Expires On section on the coupon, itmsays does not expire, but in the fine print on the coupon, it said expires March 1. Wen I contacted he provider, they said to contact Angie's list, which I did. Angie's list said the provider would honor the deal but I have had difficulty reaching them (they called, I missed the call but they did not leave a voicemail, I called right back and left a message with someone and did not hear back). I spoke with Angie's list again and they said they would offer a refund.

Description of Work: The company was hired to repair an area around the chimney that was leaking as well as replace rotted boards on the chimney. The job was completed, but continued to leak with future rains. I made no attempt to contact them to rectify the job, but went with another contractor instead.

Description of Work: I bought the $99 for 3 hours worth of drywall repair coupon. Overall I was pleased with the work, but it definitely wasn't done to my standards and what was more troubling is that no one even bothered to ask! I know it wasn't a big money job for them, but quality work is quality work no matter how much profit you are making from it or not. I would use them again, but maybe for something that I absolutely couldnt do myself. I thought that at $99 it was worth saving the time to have a professional do it as I am doing a number of other projects in my home. The job ended up being an additional $130 because he had to call someone else over to do the patch on the ceiling and the higher wall above my fireplace. The other guy was there all of 20 minutes, left my fireplace half done, and didnt bother to clean up after himself! In my hummble opinion, for the additional $100 in labor, I should have recieved the full 3 hours worth of work. The gentleman who was there the full time was extremely friendly, very professional, and answered most of my questions the best he could. He went on and on about how long he had been doing this and how he was the company expert! While this was reassuring at first, i was disappointed to see that the patching over my kitchen window still left a lot to be desired. I also dont mind the occasional sales pitch because i recognize it as part of the job, but you shouldnt repeat more than once about how much its gonna cost to paint my place too! All in all i was pleased, but for $230 for some minor drywall patching, there was a lot left to be desired! A lot of people can do the jobs/services that you all provide and doing the bare minimum as far as customer service goes will have your customers searching elsewhere when it comes time to get more work done. Overall, thank you. You did just enough not to p*** us off.

Description of Work: Handy Pro replaced a gas line to my dryer, and rerouted my clothes dryer vent. Dryer vented into the garage and I needed it routed to the outside. HP showed up and did the work as expected. No troubles and they came prepared and eager to work.
