Description of Work: We requested service to repair a dryer vent and replace a shower valve. The woman who called to comfirm our appt. assured me that the technician she was sending out could handle both. When he arrived, he made it clear he did not want to deal with the dryer vent. He then went to work on the shower valve, but did not bring the appropriate tool, so after much pounding, banging and yanking he removed and replaced it. The new valve did not turn off tightly (had much play in the handle), but most unnerving was the banging in the pipes we've had ever since whenever water is turned on or off in the house. We called the office and they agreed to send out another technician, who was able to properly fix the shower valve. He drained all the pipes to see if the banging was an air knock, decided it wasn't and then cut through the drywall behind the shower to see why the pipes were banging. He then told us it was a construction issue and it was our problem, not theirs. We had never had ANY issue with banging pipes until AJ Danboise sent that first ill-equiped and inept technician out to fix the shower valve. The people we spoke with in the office were very unconcerned and unwilling to help solve this issue. $300 to fix a shower valve and then leave us with noisy pipes and a hole in the wall is ridiculous. I would not use this company again for anything!!!

Description of Work: This is a tough call ... we have used Danboise for many years, sometimes with great results, sometimes not so great. On this occasion our furnace had stopped working after the power outage on 10/29/12. I called on 10/3012 in the morning, after the power had come back on but the furnace had not, and after my husband and I did the usual troubleshooting, following the owner's manual to attempt to get the furnace to ignite. Danboise stated that we would be the first call on 10/31, and someone would arrive at 8:00 am to resolve the problem. At 7:00 am the temoperature in the house was 56 degrees - cold but tolerable for another hour. When no one had arrived or contacted me by 8:45 I called Danboise and was told that the emergency from the night before had extended into the next day, and that I would be next. When I questioned this, was there only one service person making calls, etc., unbelievably the answer was yes - there was only one service person working that day and they would call me when they were on the way, unable to give me a ETA. When the service person arrived, I believe at approximately 10:45 or 11:00, Michael did a thorough and, I beieve, very competent job. The power outage, including a couple of power surges, had damaged the control circuit and that needed to be replaced. I was left with two concerns: 1) there was just one service technician available at a time when no doubt many people had had problems because of the power outages and 2) we did not receive a phone call notifying us on 10/31 that the plan had changed and that no one would be there by 8:00 as promised. This seemed to me to be a total disregard for the customer service aspect of their business. I was flying out the next day for 5 days out of town, and my time that day was very precious.

Description of Work: Installation was fast and incredible; how they moved the old AC unit from behind the bushes and put a new one in behind the same bushes without touching the bushes is beyond me. I did have to call them back to secure some piping that was getting caught when I opened the basement door. They came immediately and tacked the offending line away from the door and at no charge Do sign up for maintainance plan which took 10% off bill and I also had a $50 coupon which they honored..
