Extremely expensive. $455 to change a cartridge on a shower. The "invoice" shows one line item: "Rebuild Tub/Shower Faucet: Replace the necessary stems, seats, and washers to ensure proper operation of faucet." I watched the job - there were no washers involved. If "rebuild" means to take the cover plate and handle off to replace the cartridge, and then screw them back on, then I guess that would apply here. But my definition of "rebuild" is drastically different. The technician was done in about 45 minutes. The cartridges cost about $58 online - so that works out to about $10 / minute.

Not the cheapest, but fair pricing and excellent quality. Old original AC was blowing fuses, so I had them replace with a new 16SEER Trane unit, gave me a few options, and I didn't feel an "upsell". Were out 2 days later, Technicians did a great and clean install, hauled everything away, and were done in a few hours. With the current COVID situation, appreciate the advance call/screening and the technicians wearing masks, and even doing a duct and work area disinfectant cleaning after they finished. Communication from their team throughout the process was excellent, and we enjoyed the humor added to their technician "introduction" text messages.

The plumber determined that it would be $150 to "clean" the sump pump well. However, his definition of "clean" was to scoop out some (not all) of some silt/dirt that had accumulated in the bottom of the well. No effort was made to clean the actual pump, but they did try to up-sell us to a new sump pump. I was at work when this went down and was highly dissatisfied upon seeing the actual "work" for myself, and subsequently spending several hours finishing the cleaning myself. I've attached pictures of the condition of the well and sump pump. As you can see in the picture of the pump, it was caked with build-up, which I eventually cleaned off myself using a screwdriver. I reported my dissatisfaction using their own review tool online, and a "project manager" contacted me. He apologized for the dissatisfaction and we settled on a fair resolution that involved a partial refund. They made a proper effort to resolve the situation, and even offered to send someone else out for a few quotes that I had requested that were not completed by the plumber. That being said, I will not be using them again for any plumbing needs. However I may consider them for non-plumbing services due to their responsiveness.

It was good. They were expensive. I had an service one year agreement with them, and that brought down the price a bit.

They provide both heating and plumbing, and I think I used them for both at one time. They were very good. I had a hot water, in the winter time it takes a long time for the hot water to got to the upstairs bathroom. They put in a pump system to fix that issue. We also used them to put an electrical in the closet to automatically turn on in the closet. They were good. I did not shop around a whole lot for the price because that was the second time I used them. They showed up and were good in the first one so we just went a head and used them the second time around. It was a couple hundred dollars each time. In ever category they were good that is why we used them the second time.

I scheduled a visit the night before online, but somehow the message get relayed in a timely fashion. Once they arrived everything went as planned and finished in just under an hour.

I've used Danboise on twice before and happy both times. Made the appointment on line 2 days prior for an 8-10 AM time slot and was promptly called to confirm. Day of the appointment I called when it was apparent the time would not be met and was told I was "next" and my appointment was really a "8 AM - 12 PM slot." I had arranged my schedule for a noon departure, so this now became an inconvenience. The technician arrived at 11:25 AM was neat, professional and promptly repaired and replaced the necessary pieces. No beefs with him, but I did email back my frustration. Mr. Kidd apologized for the mis communication and offered a partial credit from our bill for my inconvenience. Overall, I was very impressed with work performed and how my quickly and professionally my complaint was handled.

It was very competent and reasonably priced.

I would recommend them that they're efficient and professional and reasonable. The prices that I have paid them over the years have always been reasonable. I've used many times. I use them a lot.

Over the next year or two we spent another three thousand dollars on repairs, they are pretty good about coming out it's just the system installed was really crappy multiple repair.

The price of my replacement part was way out of line. A commercial capacitor is $40 - $60 and I was charged $320. In all the comments on line I could find this price was only associated with the word “rip-off”. My service provider was nice, polite and professional and actually showed up early.

I did not use this company because their estimate was so high. I was told they would have had to build new framing in the attic for the fan and that my attic was difficult to access (which is true.) However, the company I eventually used gave me a free quote, did not have to build new framing, and charged me about 1/10 of what Danboise wanted for the work. 12-4-15 Update: Without my contacting Danboise at all, today I received a refund check in the mail for the amount I was charged for the service call. I was surprised by this, and I appreciate their effort to make things right.

On April 04, 2015 my sister discovered water in her finished basement gushing from her drain. I called AJ Danboise, My sister and I have used them before. I explained the situation and was told a technician would be contacted and I would receive a phone called back in half an hour. They called me back and told me that their truck did not have a snake on it and they could not help me. Meanwhile. water is building up in my sister's basement, I never heard of a plumbing company that did not have a snake to clean the sewer line out. NEVER CALL AJ DANBOISE for an emergency, I will never use them again,

They tried to take advantage of the emergency situation by charging me more, even though it was during normal business hours. They were going to charge me double the non-emergency service rate.

Extremely professional. Quick response times quality work and professional knowledgable team.

Just one plumber showed up. It took him less than an hour to do the bare minimum. He didn't do the job completely. He found there was a leak in the washer and another was just a matter of tightening a joint. He charged me an exorbitant price.

The most amazing thing! I received a check from AJ Danboise for the total amount of the "service" call. I am most impressed with their action. I have never had this experience. I was willing to pay for the time of the visit, if only that I had committed to do so. In addition. the company wrote and excellent letter.

They are pricey but the service is great.

They are immaculate and always put down floor coverings and wear bootie covers. They left everything spotless.

When they replaced my furnace they took it out the front door and it damaged the brick steps which they later repaired. They did a great job.

It went very well. The installer did a good job of examining and correcting some wiring deficiencies. The fan / light installation was excellent. Nothing was damaged and every aspect of the job was completed well plus site clean-up.

The company let me know the technician was on their way and he showed up promptly. Wore covers on his shoes to keep my house clean. Finished up promptly and was courteous.

They came out to my house, and had to charge me their minimum charge for any service, regardless of how big or small the work was. All they had to do was change a fuse, and they charged me $242. I expressed my concern with the pricing, and they stated is just how it was. I would not recommend them to anyone else, because I thought it was a bit excessive for changing one fuse.

Easy to set up an appointment in advance, so I could take the day off. Work was excellent, everything works lot better, and the leaks have been stopped. Have used them in the past, and will use them again.

Initial: Found water in base of furnace when changing filter. Called and Danboise timely serviced drain (as they have some some 20+ years). Next: About 3 weeks later problem heating not starting, found pilot light not going on (realized probably new furnace because of age). Danboise returned (NO Charge), pilot light on only intermitently. FURNACE: Decided to replace, provided models and made choice. Thought price too high but ended good price because new furnace necessitated updated electrical and gas service, as well as government regulated exhaust as well as chimney liner for water heater. AC: In replacing furnace found hole in AC Coil unit in furnace, which would void new furnace warranty. Consequently had to replace whole AC system (new refrigerant). Job took two installers about day and one half (extra time dealing with our AC and then getting unit). AC necessitated additional electrical work also and much better new drain system. OVERALL: Timely service. Informative and courteous sales and installation staff. No problems to date with limited AC use and now some heating use. Final price was very satisfactory considering amount of work that we had no realistic concept for at the start-which made up for lack of itemized cost break down (e.g. $159 city permits and inspections, water heater chimney liner by their subcontractor). Experienced no hidden additional costs, especially when encountered necessity to update electrical, gas, furnace air intake and exhaust, and chimney liner.
