Its only been a week sense my roof was shingled everything looks great just waiting for a little ridge cap to be finished (they were short on the cap shingles . Everything went great the crew went at it first thing in the morning and didn't let up until it was done , and were courteous and friendly at all times.

Came quickly and gave quote the same day. Took pictures of problem areas and explained everything in detail so I could make an informed decision

Thet installed a new roof and I also hired them for windows and a new patio door and wall insulation.

A brand new roof in one day!

Roofers showed up unannounced 102 days after my estimate. No one contacted me in that time to let me know about the delay or to temporarily cover the hole in my roof. I was told the job would be done within the month. Because they arrived with NO NOTICE everything in my garage was not able to be moved or tarped. It is covered in tar powder nails wood and debris. NO tarp was put down and NOTHING was cleaned up. My trailer and vehicle were not able to be moved because there was NO ADVANCED NOTICE to them arriving and tearing off the shingles. When I did arrive home to workers midway through removing my roof I asked if there was anything they needed and I would be in the house if they ran into additional concerns. Per our conversation with the person who gave us the estimate, we made clear that if there were additional problems uncovered while fixing the water damage and hole in the roof please let us know and we would most likely want an updated estimate. It was hard to see what the problem was until the roof was off. Per contract the decking was to be removed and replaced, only a quarter of it was removed and replaced. They hired workers with no communication skills and little integrity. When the decking was removed it was clear that at least one or two tresses needed to be replaced or at least braced. They just put a piece of plywood over the damaged trees. Who slaps on a new roof sees it is sagging when it is complete and says NOTHING to the homeowner who has asked if anything is needed? Before even putting the new board down it would have been obvious that it would not lay correctly and bow. And Therefore compounding the problem when adding the additional weight of shingles. When you ripped off the old roof you could see additional damage not able to be seen before or created by removing the old roof. Or the fact that 102 days went by! Competent workers would have stopped at that moment and called or come to the door to talk about what needed to be done in addition. If this would have happened we have a NOT SAGGING roof in the end. I have talked in person to an employee who took pictures and said they would let someone know that the roof is still sagging where the hole was this was on January 3. Still again with no communication whatsoever in return I happened to see the Avalon company truck drive by and I ran out back to talk to him. I asked him how the job was considered completed if the roof was still sagging. They NEVER covered anything up with tarps or gave me notice so I could move my vehicle and cover my own things with tarps. Again they came with not so much as even a days notice so I could do these things. They came 102 days after the estimate entirely unannounced. After the first day they were here They left without any communication to me at all. They left without cleaning up all the nails, wood and debris. That was a Friday, the 28th of December It was on Jan 3 I last saw an employee of Avalon until the second

Roof looks great for the money. Better quotes than the other companies. Took much longer than quoted it was a hard roof but they still thought it wouldn't take as long. Didn't mind it took longer but they didn't communicate what was happening. Still haven't returned to do the final check off. So their customer service is a bit lacking.

Roofing turn down and replaced in one day. Overall a good job.

I just had my whole roof replaced by Avalon Building Concepts. Everyone in this company went above and beyond! I mean everyone, from the salesman (making sure I received the best products at the best price thanks Doug!) to the installers (who were professional courteous and down right awesome at what they do!). Even their Customer Service department jumped in to make sure my roof was completed by my deadline. I typically refuse reviewing companies, but in this case I had to share!

I got referred to Avalon by two individuals who I respect the opinion of that had both worked with Avalon in the past. We were under a time crunch so we didn't get multiple estimates, but their representative crawled up into our attic and got on our roof. He was able to determine that our dormer was not correctly flashed and that was the source of our leak. We were pleasantly surprised at the price. I thought the price would be a few thousand more than what we were quoted. They did our roof on Thanksgiving Day arriving while we were home at 8 AM and finishing after we had left for dinner with the family. They brought a big crew to complete the job in one day. We did find some black tar marks on our siding and some scraps left over in our yard the next day, but it was dark when they left. Overall, they do a professional job and my roof is leak free.

They were fast, quality, and totally cleaned up after the installation of our new roof

I dealt with several local contractors that were very expensive. The first one never mailed a quote, the other told me I had 3 weeks to decide or no roof until after the first of the year. Avalon was prompt with their quote. Weather played a large factor in the delay of installation. Thanks to the Production Manager, it moved along quickly. It was done efficiently in 1 day. The roofing crew was professional and the roof looks fantastic. Cleanup was done at the end of the day. It was a stormy cold day and I appreciate their work. I live in Northern Michigan and the weather can be challenging.

The sales rep was very responsive during the bid process. After we hired them if was difficult to get our questions answered as the sales rep never responded to our phone calls. The work took three days to complete, we were told one day, but the quality was good and the clean up was acceptable. They did follow up to address our questions and completed an inspection to ensure we were satisfied, so overall they did a good job.

You get what you pay for.......horrible customer service, rude, condescending, and untruthful. I would love to have copies or the “we record this message for quality services” Contractors left nails, tape, metal cut offs everywhere. It was like they didn’t even try to clean up. I ended up having to clean it up so the grand kids could play in the yard. Customer services were the worst I have had ever had to talk to, always “we will look into it and call you back" yet they NEVER will. Roof, soffit, eves kicked off with me making the mistake of writing a check for 50% the 1st week of June and it’s now October with no confirmed end date. Do not use this company! I have never felt the need to write a bad review but this company absolutely deserves it.

The guys did a great job, installation was quick, and a great job cleaning up even though it was quite windy.

Good job but a little over-priced.

1. I had to fight to have the job completed. 2. The flat roof section was not sealed properly and leaked. 3. Black tar sealant was spilled on white trim and siding (cannot be removed). 4. Roof around chimney leaked and repair did not fix. Roof is presently leaking and Avalon will not respond to my complaint.

Amazing! They are incredible to work with. I am so impressed with this company. The salesman walked me through everything step by step. It was refreshing to have someone with such knowledge of the roofing system and who had the patience to walk me through it. Very informative. He has since proven to be a man of integrity, and I swear he lives for his job, as he was always available to me. The installation crew was phenomenal. Fast and good! I love our roof and the job they did. Recommend highly!!!

Purposely did not show up for an appointment for the estimate. I was told that it would be two or three weeks to put on the roof. After 6 week the roof was installed and now waiting two months for the rest of the work. Customer service promise to call me a week ago and still waiting

Avalon did a great job, very professional. The only drawback was with the one day notice of the job being scheduled, we ended up going without TV for a week, waiting for Dierct TV to reinstall our dish. Other than that, we are very satisfied with the company.

Timely looks great.

They did the whole roof in one day and were very professional. They did damage some plants and broke a solar light by accident, which can happen when an old roof is being removed. Wish they would have been more careful, but the roof looks amazing. So, I gave them a 4 out of 5.

Avalon was hired to replace the roof and 3 skylights. If being honest, this has been the worst contractor experience I have ever been involved in. We have had 3 different sales guys and 3 different crews to our house over a 9 month period and the work is still not completed. Now, they seem more concerned about the potential of spending a couple of hundred dollars to fix the issues created by them selling skylights that they could not obtain. Will never do business with them again
