Description of Work: Unhook and hook-up plumbing to allow bathroom floors to be replaced. Some repairs to sinks were needed as previous owners did not do the work properly. Jason Vandermeer did the work himself. He came before the floors were installed and afterwards to reconnect everything. He was very professional and friendly and his fees were fair. We highly recommend Vandermeer Plumbing.

Description of Work: Jason most recently replaced our disposal and replaced the clapper in a toilet. But he will forever be my hero for coming to our rescue at 4:45 pm on a Friday when our hot water heater died. He got a replacement water heater from the dealer before they closed @ 5:00, came to our house that evening to make the replacement AND made sure we only had to pay his labor charge. He researched our heater and found it was still under warranty. He had not installed the previous water heater. We haven't needed any plumbing help lately, but when we do Vandemeer will get the call.

Description of Work: We had continuous leaks from the tub faucet and the drain valve was defective. He gave us options for repair but his focus was to take care of the problem. He had the needed parts with him and had the tap and drain repaired in an hour.

He is punctual, considerate of your time, personable and reasonable. I am so lucky to have found him and would highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Replaced upstairs w/c. Moved w/c from upstairs to downstairs, cleaned sewer w/3" cutter to 100'. Purchased and installed new garbage disposal, purchased and installed a new toilet upstairs, ran new line for icemaker in fridge with copper tubing and replaced main valve to home.

They did a routine regulatory thing that had to be done. They did good work. The quality of the work was good. Their price was fair although I did not compare their price to anyone else.

+ -1 moreIt was excellent. He was in and out of here in an hour, he's a great guy. I found him on Angie's List. He did some extra things, too, as part of that job and he's great. I wouldn't have found him otherwise. He's reasonable and he's just a terribly nice guy. He comes promptly, does the work then he's out of here. The work is very good. I've priced other people and he's much better. I've used him twice already.

+ -1 moreThey were very good. I thought it was extremely reasonable, he was able to come out immediately, I was very happy with the service, and I would hire him again. He explained what he was doing, he seemed very honest about what he was doing, and what might need to be done in the future. He didn't try to get me to do anything that I didn't need to have done, he just told me some stuff for the future that I might need to watch out for. I just felt confident that he was being honest with me. I didn't know what was going on. I thought it was going to be hugely expensive, so I was very pleased when it turned out to be very simple. I was very pleased with him. It was excellent. I thought the pricing was very fair.
Description of Work: I had a leak under my kitchen sink and it turned out that I needed a new faucet and some new pipes.

+ -1 moreJason Vandermeer began by repairing the kitchen faucet but the end result did not meet his approval. He recommended that we replace the faucet and he would not charge us for the labor or the parts of the repair. He quoted us a very reasonable price for the faucet and spray attachment and did the installation. The faucet in the bathroom was able to be repaired. Jason was very professional and attentive to our wants and needs. At no time did we ever feel Jason was trying to sell us something we didn't want or need. Working with Jason was truly a wonderful experience. Jason will be the only plumber we ever use.
Description of Work: Replaced kitchen faucet and repaired bathroom faucet.

+ -1 moreWe started to have water backing up in the basement when we ran our shower/faucets/washing machine. Called Vandermeer Pluming and set up an appointment for two days later. He came out, cleaned the drains, and was in and out pretty quickly. We haven't had a problem since. The price was really good compared to a lot of other companies that I quoted. Very professional, friendly. Will definitely use again.

+ -1 moreWe had a list of things to get done that had been adding up for some time. This was my first experience using Angies List, which is where I found his name. He came out and got each item completed in a professional and workmanlike manner. He cleaned up afterwards and hauled away the junk. All the jobs turned out great with no drips! He also gave us tips for saving money in the future with regard to maintenance that we could do ourselves. This added substantially to his credibility and trustworthiness in my opinion. We are very happy that we hired Vandermeer Plumbing and will do so in the future.
Description of Work: Replaced two faucets - one kitchen and one bath. Hooked up fridge for water and ice. This included installiing new shutoff valve and new copper line from basement to first floor. Installed new dishwasher and hauled away the old one. Installed new rigid ductwork for clothes dryer to bring up to code.

Jason took a look under the sink and discovered that the faucet was leaking and needed to be replaced. He was professional, punctual, informative, tidy and very pleasant.

Description of Work: I had an excellent experience with Jason Vandermeer. He promptly visited my home to evaluate a leaking water heater. He helped me chose a model that would meet my needs, but was in my budget. This was important in that my old water heater did not provide enough hot water to use our whirlpool bath. The old water heater was quickly replaced before it could make a mess. He also replaced my furnace humidifier at a better price than was quoted by my furnace people. By the way, it was for the same model of humidifier, not a cheaper replacement. My Roman faucet was leaking and another plumber said to replace it. (not cheap!) Jason took a picture of the faucet, which had no name on it and worked with a supplier to identify the faucet. He ordered cartridges and they worked perfectly after installation. He answered every question I had. He went on to test the whirlpool bath to be sure it received enough hot water. My first referral for him was to my 85 year old mother. He treated her with great kindness and quickly resolved her leaking toilet problem. I can highly recommend his work. This is from someone who felt she was ripped off by a plumbing company in the past. I think Jason deserves a POH nomination!!!!

At first Jason did not install the faucet correctly--make sure there are no extra parts in the box--however, he fixed his mistake immediately (and with great humility) once I noticed it. The toilet has been trouble-free since repaired.

+ -1 moreIt went extremely well! Jason will not let something go until he is totally satisfied that it is going to work for the long haul, no quick band aid jobs from him. All the work was thoroughly and professionally. He has great patience and attention to detail.
Description of Work: Jason replaced a gas valve and safety valve in my water heater, plus he adjusted the burner because it was not lighting up to his liking, now it works great!!! Plus he re-set and re-built a toilet I removed for the installation of new tile in my bathroom. He also cleaned my slow running sink drain, which required him to remove with great effort, the old 90 degree iron bends under the sink going into the floor. This was very difficult, and he replaced with new pipe using only 45 degree bends so it would be easier to clean and maintain in the future.

Description of Work: I had a mystery plug situation resolved in an older home that had sat for several years. Jason, after careful evaluation, decided the best way to track down the plugged piece of pipe; he then repaired that area. Plus he replaced MANY parts like the shower/tub faucet, supply lines, and repaired a toilet including replacing a cracked tank! I can not say enough about how well he treated me and my new/old house!

Description of Work: Leaky shower drain taken apart and new rubber seal put in. Dishwasher checked for leaking potential and whirlpool tub checked for drip. New 1/2 " ball valves installed due to old valve breakage.
