We could not have been more pleased. The provider was in communication with us from the beginning, did a very professional job, had a professional attitude and guaranteed his work. This is an A+ provider!

No services done, just called for a quote and the person who answered the phone was rude and very unprofessional. I didn't go with this company because of this interaction.

Due to flooding in the greater Detroit metro area, it was hard to find a plumber to come out quickly and unclog my mother's basement drain. Although Michael Hairston couldn't come out personally when needed, he asked if we would be ok with his sending out a plumbing business partner, who came out, fixed the problem quickly, fixed a few other things (garbage disposal, and hose for utility sink in laundry room), and was VERY reasonably priced. Ken and his partner from Rubin Plumbing did a great job! They were fast, professional, and even brought a smile to my 90-year old Mom's face! We would never have even known about these guys if Hairston Plumbing hadn't referred them. It made us realize that Hairston Plumbing has very high integrity and reliability, as well as trustworthy partners. We will come back to Hairston Plumbing or Rubin's Plumbing for any future plumbing needs, without a doubt!

Mike was very dedicated to help us clear and clean a sewage pipe in our complex. When I contacted him, the weekend was approaching and despite his very busy schedule and appointments that were already scheduled, he was able to work us into the schedule. He and his staff are very pleasant and professional. They were in and out within a half hour. He cleaned up the area and it looked like nothing ever happened. Kudos to Mike. I would definitely recommend Hairston Plumbing and he will be my vendor of choice should we need plumbing assistance.

I did not pay any additional amount. They were very friendly, and they solved the problem. They were average. I would call them back again. The $99 price of the big deal was a good price. They were out quite quickly.

Scheduling was difficult from the start. I was told someone would get back to me within a certain time frame, usually "this afternoon," and I wouldn't hear back for days and not until I contacted them to ask about the status. We initially scheduled for a Monday at 4 (via phone with the plumber mid-morning the same day) and received a call after rearranging our schedules that they could no longer come on Monday. We moved it to Wednesday, but had a conflict and asked to reschedule within an hour of setting the appointment. I asked for Saturday at 2 and was told they'd let me know and didn't hear anything for another two days. Finally, after I contacted them again, we confirmed for Saturday at 2 and again rearranged our schedules. We received a call around noon that someone would be there at 2. We sat at our house waiting until 3:15 and when we finally gave up and decided to go about our day we were told someone would be to our house in about an hour because another job ran long. We said to forget it, we'd be returning the Angie's List deal and going with someone else.

It turned we didn't need this deal. I though this company however, was an excellent company. They went above and beyond, very polite, timely, and very helpful in the decision of what may be going on.

Did not return phone calls as promised. I had to call back several times over a few weeks. Did not reply to messages over Angies List system. Wanted an increased price for frost free hose faucet.

Michael was extremely helpful, the service (including customer service on the phone) was outstanding which is getting rare in Grosse Pointe Park. A+ for Hairston!

From start to finish?? Well, after several emails back & forth, couple weeks passed after purchase and still no service date set, I finally had to call them for appointment. He was a couple hrs.late but called me..said it was due to previous job. Due to my pipe situation, he couldn't complete service on the spot..said he'd come back next day. Due to things beyond my control because I wasn't expecting that, I had to call the next day & postpone, but he said that was fine..he had a busy day ahead already..and we agreed to touch base on Sun.eve to setup for during the next wk. No call from him, so I called two different #'s I have for him Sun. evening suggesting Weds.or Thurs.for reschedule. As of last nite no call back. Now Weds..still no call back, so I'm requesting a refund thru Angie's List after explaining situation. A shame since I really wanted this work done. Mike seemed like a nice guy, but don't know if he got overwhelmed by response to his deal or what? Then I see a new deal for a different service a couple days ago? Maybe his work is really good, but getting appointments. scheduled in a timely manner & returning calls is where you have to start.

Although it took some time to commit to an appt., once they came they did excellent work and were very detailed orientated and experienced. They were also able to look at some other plumbing concerns my husband and I had and will be coming out to do some more repairs at a later date. Would highly recommend them!!

I don't know how these people stay in business if they still are. The first excuse was that they were overwhelmed by the response to the ad. After that it was more excuses as to why they couldn't respond and provide service. We've been patient and understanding until now. On 7/31/14 I gave them an ultimatum...they had until today (8/4/14) to deliver on the service or provide us with a refund or I would not be kind in my write-up on Angie's list. Later that day (7/31) I got a phone call from their service tech (Mike) who had promised us and re-scheduled dates and alternate dates with promises to call. He was very humble and apologized numerous times while saying he dropped the ball and it was his fault. His promise was that "the good Lord strike me dead" if I don't call you by sundown tonight." He was going to get with the office and see if they couldn't work something out on his schedule to have him out on the next day. He would call us either way. Again, he promised we would hear back from him. He's either dead or he's absolutely irresponsible. If someone tells me they're going to call and then leave me hanging, I don't want anything to do with them unless it was a life or death situation. No one from Hairston has called or otherwise communicated with us. This is a DOA deal. Please provide us with a refund. We've waisted enough of our time waiting on nothing.

The company had many issues scheduling. Once we finally got the appointment scheduled for 11:00 on Tuesday. The company called at 11:00 that day to push my appointment which I did agree to despite wanting to have it done prior because we were leaving Sunday for vacation. Saturday's appointment time came and went with no contact from provider. We called after the scheduled time and got their answering machine. As of today a full business week since our appointment we have still yet to hear from the company.

This guy came in looked at the garbage disposal and said it would.cost 200.00 plus and that the 35.00 was to get him to come out he was suppose to look at my bathroom leak, but someone was in the bath so he said he would run and do another job and return And we never hear from him again so I just lost my 35.00. This was the first time I had a bad experience.

Well, actually, Mr. Hairston needed to return correct a small problem, which he did promptly. Everything works well, and was done professionally and with a smile.

From the beginning to the completion of the installation, the whole process went perfectly. I was contacted promptly via email, which was followed up by a phone call. I needed to change the appointment date and they rescheduled the date without hesitation. I then received a call on the day of the work asking if they could come earlier in the day, which turned out to be better for me. The gentlemen who arrived to do the work were professional and friendly. They finished the job quickly without a hitch. Great experience all around. I will be hiring them in the future.

Outdoor faucet replacement. On time, nice guy, good job, no hassles.

Everything went well. He called ahead to indicate a slight change of time. He came in the appointed time slot. Was very courteous and neat. He and his assistant did the work in little over a half hour. He left everything clean. We were very satisfied with his work and professional manner. Would recommend highly. Will use him again if needed at our home and will consider him for work at my office.

The gentlemen arrived on time, went right to work and promptly completed the project with no muss or fuss. They were very personable. I plan to use them again on another project I've been considering.

Mr. Hairston contacted me prior to arriving at my home and arrived with his assistant, Ricky. They were both very polite and personable. They cleaned the main line within 30 minutes or arrival time and left my home very clean. They were very nice and professional at all times. I plan on hiring this company again within the next two months to reconfigure some plumbing pipes in my basement. I would also like to mention the the company's receptionist, Gabrielle, is great with customer service over the phone. Highly recommend this company--very nice family to do business with!

Responded quickly. The fix was pretty easy. A little costly but the job was done.

They cleared out my sewer line with no problem. The made more of a mess cleaning it out then when the sewer line was backed up. They cleared out the line and left dirt and other debris from the cleaning on my basement floor. It took a week, half a bottle of bleach to remove the smell from the debris and standing from the area.
