With a one-day notice, Kevin changed around his schedule and accommodated our needs to make the transition as seamless as possible for my father. I picked up my father to take him to his scheduled doctor's appointment, where the news would be broken to him about the move. Kevin and crew were waiting "in the wings" as I escorted my father out of the assisted living facility, and jumped right to work. About three hours later, my father's new place was set up and ready for him to move in. Kevin and crew were most respectful and congenial with my father and the other residents at the Memory Care facility in Farmington Hills, MI, who of course, were very interested in a new member moving into their community. There was no damage to my father's things and Kevin even took the things we couldn't fit into my father's new room to the dump or resale for us.

Absolutely great moving company. Kevin and his crew were very professional. Showed up on short notice to step in for another moving company that canceled on me. They arrived at 8am and were loading stuff by 8:05. They had the entire house packed and ready to roll by lunch time. They were very careful with my furniture and made sure everything was packed and secured properly. They grabbed lunch on the way to Lake Orion and still got there within an hour of leaving Royal Oak. They put down protective mats in my new house and got all of my stuff unloaded and into its proper place with very little direction by me. I was very impressed with how fast and smart the worked to get me moved in. I will absolutely hire them if I ever move again. They even knocked off the time they spent at lunch from my bill (I didn't ask them to, but Kevin only accepted payment for the time they spent working).

I could not have been happier with having Smith and Sons Moving to my home. The return e-mail was immediate. On the day of service, they called me and kept me updated on arrival time. Very professional and dependable company. I will definitely keep them in mind for future needs and have already refered this company to friends for their future needs. I have no concerns or negative comments to make --- all was professional, respectful, clean and positive.

Kevin and his co-worker were awesome. First of all they were able to accommodate me with less than a weeks notice. They were very professional and nice, took extra care of my items, and were pretty fast. They even helped me put my furniture back together. Best price too, and they wont take advantage of young women like a lot of these movers do. They were in and out and got the job done without lollygagging around. Definitely would use them again!

Very professional and hard working. they worked really fast and they carefully prepered the furniture for moving. The guys were friendly, moving the entire time, and careful to not damage anything. I would recommend them to my closest family and friends. They even went out of their way to help me with my washing machine. They kept their promised price and there were no surprises. It went very well. It was complicated in that we were not only taking things from one location to another, but things had to go to three separate destinations. . We began with picking up furniture and other household things. It was raining hard but before starting any work Kevin and Pat laid mats on the floor to protect the carpeting . They carefully prepared the furniture by wrapping it in plastic and secured in their truck. They worked quickly and efficiently. They then delivered the items to each destination. Again care was taken to place the furniture just right. They kept to their estimate of cost and there were no surprises.

They were very prompt, professional and friendly. They also took excellent care of her belongings. Their estimate was actually a little bit higher than what they actually charged when finished. We called several different moving companies and all the estimates were considerably higher than Smith and Sons. Two were actually double what Smith and Sons estimate was. I would highly recommend them and will not hesitate to use them again if needed.

Kevin Smith and his crew were very professional and very polite. They worked extremely hard through a rainy day to move our stuff into three storage locations because of the delay in moving to our new house. They came back a week later and moved us into our new home, carrying boxes and items upstairs, downstairs, and across different rooms to locations in the house we specified. Their rates are reasonable and affordable. Moving from our home of 16 years to a new house became a difficult and emotional ordeal for us. But Kevin and his crew made it a lot easier. These guys rock--we recommend them highly.

We needed a mover on short notice. Kevin worked us into his schedule. Most of the other moving companies told us that they were booked until the second week of the new month. Kevin came with a 3 man crew in a 24 foot truck. We had bedroom, dining room and living room furniture. A couple of the pieces were very heavy, including an 80 inch marble dining room table. The guys were able to move everything to our new home without damaging any of the furniture. We were delighted with their service and professionalism.

We were very happy with the services provided. They were prompt, professional,took excellent care of our belongings, and worked very efficiently and quickly. We would definitely use them again in the future!

In a nutshell-FABULOUS: prompt, professional, courteous, personable and friendly; these 2 men took great care with all our belongings while not wasting a minute of their hourly pay dilly-dallying or killing time-they were constantly moving; not only did they carefully move our household goods and furniture, they carefully placed them at the new location where requested and with great recommendations! From the first phone conversation to receive info and pricing to unloading the final item off the truck these men were very easy to work with, very up front with no hidden charges, had a plan in place and executed it to perfection; yet I can NOT iterate enough how impressed we were with their constant motion, again, not a wasting moment or movement. They were incredible. They were referred to us from a neighbor and will be referred BY us to anyone moving, big move or small, people we know or don't know, INCLUDING ourselves for any and all of our moves in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Seriously, this company is that good.

My move was from a 2-story bungalow to a ranch less than a mile away. Smith and Sons moved all of the furniture and many of the boxes/misc. items. I've moved many times, frequently thanks to the military, and I this was the best experience I've ever had with movers. The day did get off to a late start as Kevin's truck decided not to start (first time in 5 years) and he had to have someone come out to get it going. To make up for the lost time, he brought in a third man and only charged me for two. All three were professional and very efficient. In addition, they were just plain nice! Moving is always stressful and I know when someone is only putting up with a crazy lady. They didn't act that way. They were careful with my belongings and checked to be sure items were placed properly in my new home. If I have to move again, I will call them. I highly recommend them.
