Let me just tell you how much I appreciate them. I had a big move and although it was only 4.2 miles from where I lived, these angels had to move my heavy furniture in 92+ weather. They were professional, and courteous to me and my furniture. They were very pleasant...All of Them. The peace that I felt with them is unmatched by any other moving company. Although it was soooo HOT outside and they had already made 2 runs. Kevin decided to fit me in on the upcoming Saturday to make sure that the job was complete. I would hire them in a second it I needed to move again...EVER! Kevin has the Best Crew, with the best attitude for movers. Let's face it Moving is hard work and they made it seamless! Bless you and the Crew...Yes even you balloon (he knows who he is). Your company was worth every penny! Thank you!

Matt and his gangs did a terrific job.

Fantastic! That's all I can say about these guys, they did an incredible job, super quickly. Relocating my office from a small room to our newly finished basement. They moved everything quickly, cleanly and very easily without making any dents or scratches anywhere. Highly recommend hiring these guys if you need a mover.

The movers worked very diligently, nonstop, and were very conscientious about protecting the furniture, walls, and putting things in the correct rooms, places. Also, very friendly.

Everything went well, no complaints

This went very well. Kevin and his assistant were prompt, worked hard and quickly, handled our belongings carefully, and exceeded expectations.

Keven, Matt and Ryan did an excellent job moving my personal effects across town. All items moved made the journey intact including heavier items such as a pool table, heavy induction range, and reclining sofa.

Company never responded for our request for a quote. However, Angie's List requires that reviewers' give an overall rating and I'm unwilling to give them an "F" because of their non-response. It could have been an oversight/clerical error. Therefore, I gave a neutral "C".

Smith and Sons was hired to move all of our larger furniture for a local move. They called before arriving and arrived on time. They immediately got to work having us walk through each of the rooms and explain what was being taken. They then got to work and very methodically moved everything on to the truck. They asked us questions when required, and moved very quickly. After about an hour they had fully loaded up the truck and we went to our new house. Upon arrival they did another walkthrough to understand where things were going. Their care in level of detail was noticed, they put bedside tables on the same sides, dressers in the correct places, and took extra care to protect everything. We did not have one nick, scratch, or ding. The whole process took only about 2 1/2 hours and we were extremely pleased with the efficiency and professionalism displayed.

Kevin & the crew were great. They arrived on time & were ready to work. I was very impressed at how quickly they moved throughout the house loading the truck. There was no wasted motion & they made sure not to damage anything. This included my wife’s 150 gallon fish tank. My wife & I have accumulated a lot of stuff over the years so it took us two trips. They took only half hour lunch & a short 5 minute break in the afternoon. I would highly recommend Smith & Sons for your next move.

Great. Friendly, On-time. Efficient. Significantly less cost that the bigger name competition. My wife's treasured baby grand was handled like .... a baby.

Kevin came with help and I was very impressed on every level. I move about once per year and this is one of the rare times I felt my furniture was properly handled using the right equipment. Experienced movers using proper equipment are much faster and better. Kevin ensured that everything was really done to my exact specifications, and he even was kind enough to help me remove some furniture that had molded in the shower during renovation, which is really above and beyond. He did charge me a $60 fee that was not discussed in addition to the $600+ paid for many hours of moving (in fact he had said he would wave the fee over the phone), but I would have paid much more than this based on the quality of his work. I also must comment on how not a single scratch was put on our new hardwoods; which was of utmost importance, without compromising their speed. Well done, will use again. Highly recommend!

Kevin, Matt and Lance arrived right on time. Within an hour the had already cleared the majority of the boxes. They work very fast and cleanly. I was extremely impressed with their professionalism and great attitudes, even if it rained the whole day! You would never have known it rained by the looks of my apartment and house. They left everything immaculate as they placed runners to protect my floors. Kevin was especially great and he clearly described the steps throughout the day so I knew what to expect. I had 3 folks working, due to my piano. They disassembled and reassembled it with ease! So easy to talk to, so polite, and so efficient...that's what you can expect from Smith and Sons!!

Kevin and Matt arrived promptly at the arranged time and began moving furniture immediately. They worked efficiently and were able to clear out my Mom's first floor apartment within an hour and half. The move was pretty straight forward. We had already boxed everything up and my Mom didn't have too much furniture. Any furniture with drawers was plastic wrapped for protection and everything was carefully placed on the truck. The furniture was then moved about a mile down the street to my Mom's new condo. They were able to move everything into the condo within an hour and a half. They even fully assembled both bed frames and mounted the mirror back to the dresser which the last movers never did. We were very happy with the move and would definitely use Smith and Sons again.

I have heard nightmare stories when it comes to moving companies. Smith and Sons was a breath of fresh air! They were on time, prepared, professional, friendly, efficient and willing to go above and beyond to make sure our move went as smoothly as possible. I can't tell you how worried we were about moving our treadmill out of our basement since it is the type you would find in a gym. They were able to disassemble it and carry it out without damaging any walls or the machine. In fact, we had not one thing damaged with this move and they ensured that all of our furniture and belongings were secure and protected. They even offered my husband and I chairs while we waited for the storage facility to be loaded. We will without a doubt use them again and have already referred family and friends. They were absolutely fantastic!

We hired them to move our family into our new home. Due to delays in our renovation, we rescheduled twice, and they were extremely accommodating with the changes. They arrived on time, were very careful, and took great care in wrapping, padding, and moving our furniture (we moved most of our boxes ourselves). We had used another well-known company for our previous move 5 years ago and ended up with items so damaged that they had to actually replace them, so we were thrilled at how careful Smith and Sons was. They never even came near our newly-painted trim and walls! We absolutely would recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to hired them again.

Amazing work! They treated our stuff so carefully but worked quickly. They were well prepared with plenty of clean packing blankets. We were shocked by the efficiency and that they didn't bat an eye at anything we had to move, including our piano.

Moving heavy furniture, and about 200 boxes(My problem) into the house and garage. Be nice and feed them lunch.

I thought it would be a small move, but it turned out to be an all-day matter despite how hard the movers worked. They did not waste time, worked very hard, and were extraordinarily careful with our furniture and did not scrape or damage a single surface in the house we left or the freshly painted one we moved into. No matter how hard they worked, both men remained very friendly and cheerful. I highly recommend this company and would hire them in a second for any future moving jobs, large or small. They are truly professional in the best sense of that word.

We couldn't have been happier with our move. From first estimate to final piece of furniture moved, Smith and Sons provided excellent service. Kevin was very attentive and responsive to all our questions. On move day, he and Matt took great care in getting our furniture to our new home. Their prices were much more reasonable that some of the larger companies. Friendly and personable, we wouldn't hesitate to hire Smith and Sons for any future moves!
