Smith and Sons Moving

It was a wonderful experience working with Kevin and his team. He returned calls promptly before the move and took the time to explain every aspect carefully. The move was smooth and professional, which is especially impressive because 1/4 of the move happened during a rainstorm and the truck got stuck for a minute in some wet ground. They were also efficient and friendly even after 8 hours of hard work. I would recommend them to everyone.

I went well. Kevin and his Harper worked diligently with very modest breaks and made sure everything was well protected and loaded/unloaded carefully. Excelent job.

Wonderful! Tricky going from the apartment to the truck - I was IMPRESSED! They were timely, respectful, and efficient! "Highly" recommend!

Overall, I was pleased. They handled all items with care and expertise. They were respectful and mannerly; a father/son team family business. Pleasant to work with. It was fortunate that I had he additional funds at the end but must admit I was relieved not to have to go back and make several trips in my car for the piddly stuff. I would hire them again.

They were in close contact with us before the move so that we knew exactly what to expect. They were prompt and fast. They took special care to make sure that delicate items were wrapped and not to scratch our freshly painted walls at the new house. They were polite and made sure that everything was placed exactly where we wanted it in the house. I would absolutely use them again.

They were professional, careful, prompt and efficient. We were moved out of our in-laws and into our new home in a couple of hours! All of the movers were friendly and took special care of our things and our home.

Great. I called two local movers in my area, that I found on Angie's List, about this job. The other didn't even respond to my call. I spoke with Kevin, multiple times to set up the appointment. I was corresponding with both him a contact where the piano was located. They were punctual and professional. I am very pleased. They wrapped the piano well. They laid down ramps and protective mats for my floor. Excellent service.

Every aspect of dealing with this company was excellent. The men worked very had and very fast. They were also skilled as some of our 'stuff' required careful manipulation to get it both out at the old and in at the new. I'd recommend them in a minute. The job was for T&M and we were happily surprised at the cost.

When I initially called Kevin, I had originally planned a simple move from our Royal Oak bungalow to our new home a few miles away. Kevin was responsive and informed me of all costs upfront with that type of move. Within a week, my situation had changed from a one-home move to needing to also move furniture from my parent's home in Detroit that they just sold. When I changed the plan Kevin was extremely accommodating and let me know that costs would change in order to add another mover to the plan as well as additional costs for moving a piano and other special items (fair prices). The day of the move, Kevin and his team of 2 other men who were just as courteous and professional as himself arrived at the promised time to my parent's house. They were able to move lots of furniture from a cluttered home in a matter of a few hours without any problem. Long story short, they delivered the full truck-load to my new Troy home then returned to re-fill the truck at the Royal Oak home. They delivered all of our furniture unharmed, and they only took two 15 minutes break and a short lunch. I wish they would have taken more breaks, to be honest! They were very hardworking and transparent about everything they did. I would recommend to them to anyone, and my parents have already hired them to finish their move.

I cant believe that I never entered this review! I hired Smith & Sons to help me move and completely underestimated the job. They were so gracious, patient and helpful. I would absolutely hire them again. A local business that exceeded my expectation!

The move went very well, again, as this is the 2nd time we used Smith & Son's Moving company. Kevin Smith, the owner of the company, along with his employee was punctual, polite and professional. They were efficient with the move, keeping us informed every step of the way. They treated our belongings with the utmost care. For our next move, we won't hesitate to hire them again.

They are awesome. Very professional, on time, very particular about how they load and unload the furniture and the tuck. They pack everything very neatly. We would use them again and highly recommend them.

Kevin & the gentleman that worked with him that day were wonderful. They moved items so quickly I couldn't keep up with them. I've never seen anyone move as fast as they did in such extremely hot conditions. They never complain even though they were sweating profusely. It took about six hours to move the items and two hours for transport They never took any additional breaks even though I encourage them to They indicated that they had another job to do after they were done with our job so after working that length of time here they still had more work at they had to do elsewhere they were super wonderful people and I would recommend them to anyone that would need this service I had called multiple places and spoke to multiple companies and what was most impressed with the Smith and Sons

The move went excellent and Kevin and his worker were very professional . All of our furniture was well protected with blankets and shrinkwrap and they took great care to make sure everything was in great shape !

First let me say we have moved several times my husband and I over the last 10 years and this was by far the bet move ever!! Unfortunately we were not as organized as I wished for, but life happens. They were very professional, polite, and respectful of our items. Kevin (owner) took great care of our furniture making sure to wrap properly. This is the first time we have ever had something not scratched in a move. They hustled getting all items out, they were very methodical in the packing process and kept us very well aware of what they needed. They laid out items on the floor making sure not to scuff them and dirty the carpet. So appreciated the care in what they did. Kevin, Matt and Kevin were fantastic and I would highly recommend them to anyone moving!

This mover was wonderful. He and his associate worked quickly and efficiently to move our furniture. They carefully packed the glass shelves and wrapped everything that needed wrapping in blankets.

Smith and Sons was excellent to us. They were very careful with all our items and were so efficient with packing the truck to get as much done on this first part of our move. We will be hiring them again soon!

It went great, carefully removed everything from the house in record time. Once loaded, they drove to the new apartment. It's a 2nd floor unit with steep stairs. They unloaded the truck and set items where we we were going to put them, no questions asked. They off loaded the truck as fast or faster than loading it, even with the added stairs. We liked them so much, we ordered pizza when they arrived at the unload location, they had everything unloaded and set before the pizza arrived, I had them stay for the additional 10 minutes so they could take the pizzas with them. They worked fasted than Domino's deliverly. I will use them again in 6 months when our new house is complete. They have made a lifetime customer out of us. I highly recommend them...

I have moved four times in the last ten years and have used different moving companies every time, these guys were simply amazing. They were polite, very professional and funny. I would absolutely use them again. They moved a friend of mine and they said they were amazing at packing and moving. We have a large 7500 sq ft home with very expensive furniture and art, there was not one mark on any wall or scratch on the furniture. Amazing! Thanks guys. You made a very stressful situation easy for my family.

I had never used a moving company before and didn't know what to expect. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! They were running behind schedule, but they phoned to let me know and arrived exactly when they said they would. After a tour of my condo, they went right to work! I couldn't believe how quickly and efficiently they worked! Kevin and his two helpers were polite and courteous throughout the entire day! I'm in the process of finding a new condo and you can rest assured that I will use Smith & Son to move my possessions from storage to my new residence!

Move went well. Kevin scheduled 3 men to move our house. They were very professional and handled all of our stuff with care. They worked very hard the entire time and fullfilled all of our requests. I had received a quote from a different company and there were nearly twice the cost. They were in by 9:30 and done around 2.

Great moving company. Made the whole moving process less stressful. Professional and efficient and very affordable.
