A TO Z Total Heating & Cooling

When I called for quote, Jerry came out next day, gave a quote based on the sizes. Because A to Z is authorized to give DTE Rebates, the price came in lower, Jerry was not only knowledgeable about his own products, but was able to let me know the City Permit process, as well as DTE Energy promotions, since he realizes keeping the costs down is important. Because he knew the promotions, I was able to get a more efficuent AC unit cheaper, since DTE requires a certain efficiency, and they were currently doubling their incentive. I took a few days to do research and check with other techs, and called him back on a Monday, he had it scheduled for the following Thursday and Friday. I also had windows being installed that day from a previous appt, Jerry said it would be no problem and would stay out of their way. Since it was removing and installing all new equipment, electrical, and a water line for the humidifier, it was a 2 day job. He said its a 14 hour job, and he will not schedule it for one day, says "that's when the work gets sloppy". Tech's showed up on time both days, and completed work, when they said they would. Took the time to show me basic maintenance and how to work the controls. Home is 1200 square feet, installed new 15 SEER Comfortmaker AC Unit, 96 Efficiency Comfortmaker Furnace, and Aprilaire Humidifier, processed all rebates, filed warranties, and scheduled Allen Park permits and inspections. Because I had AC and Furnace completed, Jerry gave a 500 dollar discount, the new units qualified for a DTE Rebate of $550.00, which in the month of October they were doubling the rebate, so that was another 1100.00. Final costs to A to Z was 5900.00 but it'll cost me 4800.00 after the rebate. I paid with cc, but he does offer financing. Final inspection was just done this morning by City and he was out in 5 minutes, he looked at everything to double check, but stated he knows these guys do everything right. Was referred personally by my cousin, and also reviewed on Angies. Would highly recommend in the downriver area.

They sub-contracted the electrical part of the work, and when we had an inspector come he didn?t approve it. The sub contractor left the panel cover with missing screws, didn't seal the cable at the top so it could let water in, they needed to ground the water pipes, also they needed to raise up the height of the riser due to building code restrictions (needs to be at least 10 feet, and it's at 9 right now). The sub contractor was always friendly, but keep promising they'll come out to fix it, and never do. It's been about a year, and the work still isn't done right.

I called and asked how much it would cost to replace my 40 gallon water heater and explained that the water lines/shutoff valves and the venting would also need to be redone. She said she had no idea how much the venting and piping would cost but the water heater was $740. Would not come and give an estimate and expected me to agree to have the work done without an estimate.

furnace was making strange noises in am. called A to Z they came that afternoon and fixed the problem. Also have A to Z appliance repair to fix my washing machine, same company, i like the prompt service.

Called early am and A to Z committed to having someone at house close to 3pm same day, they arrived on time and installed new water heater and removed the old one. Explained how to drain 2 times per year to extend life of water heater and then explained warranty. fantastic experience.

He was very nice, called ahead to let me know he was on the way. He came in checked out our furnace and instantly knew our condensate pump was broken. He fixed it in about 5 minutes and he checked our air filter and made sure everything was working properly. Very reasonably priced.

Technician was very punctual and repaired the problem quickly.

The service man was professional and he came out the same day that I called. He was honest and he even changed my old rubber hose that was on my humidifier at no charge. I would definitely use this company again.

He was prompt arriving and quickly determined the problem. After going back to his office to pick up the part, the repair was done quickly. The repairman checked the rest of the heating/cooling system to make sure everything was operating correctly. He presented me with the bill which was actually a little lower than estimated. After I paid him, he left. He was quite pleasant and worked very efficiently.

Our central AC stopped blowing out cold air and they discovered the compressor had gone out and would need to be replaced.

I called in the morning not necessarily expecting same day service, but the receptionist checked with the crew and they scheduled me for the afternoon. They came about 3:00 and were done before 5:30. They took the old water heater with them.

My Sons heat went out and I called the place I have used for years and they don't go so far away so I checked Angie's List and called A To Z Heating & Cooling. They said they could send someone out this afternoon which they did. We own the house and the furnace is 27 years old so I feared the worst. It turned out to be just the batteries in the thermostat which was a relief. My Son had been in the military for over 10 years so had never had a digital thermostat and I didn't think to tell him to check it. The service call was very reasonable. In the spring I will probably have this company install a new furnace and central air.

It was the dead of winter and they were able to come out that day and replace it for us.? I am sure that they would have had a lot of people call them but they came out the same day and the work started the next day.? They were able to accommodate my schedule.

The provider was extremely professional. He quickly evaluated the furnace and then proceeded to complete the necessary tasks. He gave helpful suggestions on maintaining the furnace and completed everything in a short amount of time. He was very friendly and didn't mind me watching him work.

A - Z sent out techs who fixed the problems. A-Z reimbursed me for the pump and additional heating costs for two months. Everyone was very polite, punctual and concerned about taking care of the problems. A reimbursement was made promptly. All this is why they are rated A+ with BBB

The company was knowledgeable and professional and did a great job installing the new furnace and central air unit. They also did a nice job setting up the electrical for my air conditioning. Price was fair and quality was excellent.

It went really well. They came out the same day I called them. He fixed it, and it ended up not working again. But they came back twice for free and made sure it was working for us that same week.

Jerry was salesman. On phone prior to asking them to come out and give estimate Jerry was willing to discuss what I might need and even approximate cost over the phone. He did come and was punctual and thorough and did not change the estimate upwards but actually gave me a senior discount. The installation was scheduled for 12 days later. Ryan was the lead installer and another Jerry came with him, were timely, kept me in the know of what they were doing and needed to do if any changes were needed and advised when they were breaking for lunch and what time they would be back and they were punctual and polite. When finished Ryan gave me a 101 in using the new thermostats along with the manuals for these and the furnace, went over each area of the new furnace and what to look for including how to bleed the lines and when this should be done. I appreciated this. I chose this company due to price, knowledge and the fact that they install hundreds of boiler furnaces each year, and it was a made in the USA furnace, and had payment plans as well as accepted credit cards.

The technician, Chris was prompt, very knowledgeable and professional. He gave us preventive maintenance tips and pricing was very reasonable. We will definitely call again for future problems or service.

We made an appointment with the contractor and he did not shop up. He called weeks later, and we said thanks anyway. We found someone else.

My mother's furnace went out on a cold Saturday afternoon. She couldn't get anyone out until Monday. When she finally got in touch with me, it was almost 4:00 so I go on Angies List. The 2nd number I gave her was A to Z Heating. They said they would be there in 15 to 20 minutes....and they were! In less than an hour her house was warm again. It wasn't as expensive as the other companies quoted her either. Randy was the young man that came out and did the work for her and she was VERY happy it went so well. Thank you...and yes, we would recommend A to Z Total Heating and Cooling to anyone!......

Overall, I was just happy to get the furnace working again (after hours) and when I think about hourly labor rates at automotive dealerships ($90/hour), I guess i shouldn't complain about the price. I would use them again.

They did a nice job replacing my furnace but they left a mess and some of my odds and ends (screws, bolts) were missing. The person I spoke with regarding the missing items and the mess was rude. He won't send anyone over to clean up the mess.
