A TO Z Total Heating & Cooling

Do not recommend this company. They over charged me for labor and unnecessary parts. Took three visits and on the third visit the supervisor came and admitted to my face that a corroded electrical panel was the issue. An issue he diagnosed in 5 minutes. A corroded electrical panel that was he admitted visibly corroded and most certainly seen the night before when the technician came to my house and left my house reporting the a/c was repaired and it wasn’t. The supervisor stated he wished the panel had been addressed as the parts may have not been necessary. This technician had the cage out of the a/c and somehow overlooked this. This is basic hvac knowledge.

Our Cozy furnace wall unit worked fine for 15 years, then died, in December 2019, I called A to Z heating & cooling. The technician said there were burnt wires on the back and it couldn't be fixed, so he talked us into buying a new furnace. Later we found out from their head Tech that the wires on the old furnace, in deed could have been replaced. So on December 3rd 2019 the new furnace was installed. After the 3rd visit, they finally got the unit to work. It worked for 3 &1/2 months until April 2020 and then quit working. Due to the pandemic they said they wouldn't be coming to homes, but would put me down for a later date. Now fast forward to December 2020, they finally come out and can't fix it. They come out 2 more times and can't fix it. Their solution is this, give us a refund and remove the furnace. Now I have duct work hanging out of the ceiling and wires and a gas line coming out of the wall. Now no furnace at all. Who does that, worse company I've dealt with in my life. I hope people can learn from my experience. Run as fast as you can from this company.

I should’ve gone to family air conditioning and heating. They’ve always done well for me. Expensive mistake

Service man (Kevin) came out and thoroughly checked the system found that the compressor was not working. Due to the fact that it was on older unit a new compressor was no longer available with the R-22 refrigerant. Needed to have a new unit installed. He quoted a fair price including everything and stated they would be out the next afternoon to install it. The two installers who came (Joe and Dave) installed the unit and explained everything about the unit and how to care for it. They were very professional and courteous. They fully cleaned up after themselves like they were never here. Would highly recommend this company to anybody.

So far it is working well and we have heat. I would recommend this company to others.

They are excellent. I liked them so well that they ended up doing all my heating and cooling now. Every 6 months they come out and check it. They are close to me.

They did a very good job following up on their service contract. I believe the pricing was very low, but I don't know what it was. So, I don't even remember if we were charged. On professionalism, I would say beyond an "A". He came early.

It went great. The representative scrubbed the igniter clean (something the other company never did). It seemed to have done the trick.

We have had them for several years. I really don't have an price comparison. I know we are satisfied with it.

The salesman Bart was great. He was personable and knowledgeable. He was also a dog lover too. Their price was the best of the quotes I received. They were able to schedule the service with the next week. The servicemen arrived around 9:15 and they were done by 1:00 pm. Its only been a week but we are looking forward to a cool summer with our new central air.

They arrived promptly. They were very professional. They installed the furnace and cleaned afterwards.

After a major flood, we needed all new units and A to Z came out very fast and got us up and running. They setup Heat and Hot Water the next day and followed up with full completion within a few days. All the installers were very professional and did a wonderful job. They removed all the old equipment and even swept all debris to leave no trace of their work. We highly recommend them to anybody looking for outstanding service.

The first gentleman who came out was very personable, professional and honest. He informed me that some kind of critter had chewed through the wires connecting my AC unit and that was the reason it wouldn't start. He replaced the wires and told me what I already knew (Unit was old, could fail any day) but that it *could* possible hold out for a bit longer. Ultimately I decided to get my AC replaced, a crew came out the next day and swapped everything out. The whole process went really fast and smoothly. Definitely would hire again!

Didn't go well. The during the furnace replacement the tech caused a leak to the main of my house and flooded my finished basement and didn't tell us. However, got him on camera telling other techs he caused it. They also don't clean up their mess. I'd never hire them again, Jerry senior probably the most disrespectful person I've ever talked to, also belittled my wife as well.

They were able to install the furnace the next day so I could get heat. It was 16 degrees outside so this was greatly appreciated. Greg and his helper finished the installation several days later. I did not know that it would take most of the day to finish, but I hadn't asked either. They have not yet put in the chimney liner due to the snow and ice and steep roof, but said they would when it warmed up.

The contractor vacuum the furnace, did not take the burners out for cleaning, just cleaned from outside. Checked the gas pressure and put back the cover. I had to remind him of cleaning the flame sensor. I do not think the price is worth the service. My last contractor thoroughly cleaned the burners by taking them out, oiled the moving parts and many more checks.

They come in the Spring and in the Fall.

I had a great experience from beginning to end. Bart came out and gave a competitive quote and explained my different options and rebates. Once I had 3 solid quotes it came down to timing. A to Z had my furnace installed 2 days after I called to get things started. They arrived on time, cleaned up any mess, explained how everything worked. I would recommend them to anyone looking.

Work done quickly and professionally. Would defintley recommend this company.

Maintenance man Very professional and nice. I had used Steve for a different issue with my AC at the first of spring. He did an excellent job, unfortunately he had to dissolve his own company then worked for ATo Z heating and cooling. Steve found I needed to replace the blower motor. He tried to help me with the pricing. One price $582. If I got the maintenance package which was $15 per month which equaled $186/yr. with the the motor dropped to $495. I hired someone else and it cost me $300 no other charges. Also with A and Z, they charged me $99 just to come out and assess.

I received a quote from them and was happy with the quote. I ended up not needing their service. But, I was happy enough with my experience that I told my mother about them. Her AC unit had died. They "fixed" her AC unit and informed her that she needed a new one. She put a $200 deposit down for a new unit and secured a date. She got a second opinion and was told she didn't need a new unit. The second company fixed the system. When my Mom called A to Z to cancel the new unit install, she was patched through to someone named Jerry. He told her he was the owner. He was rude from the get go. He told her the new company could not have fixed it and demanded to see the receipt. My Mom told him she just wanted her money back, he told her he would send her her "**** money" and he hoped the "damned unit quit tomorrow". Far from a professional response.

Installation went fine. They notified me that they would have to come back out when it warmed up to adjust ac temp. I have tried to schedule them to come back out to adjust now that it is hot out and three weeks and no call back. I misplaced the the inspection form and have been trying to get a copy for the last three weeks. Five calls to their office and each time they say they will email it over. I had to wait two weeks for the city inspection which the sale of the home is dependent on. I will not pass with out that form. I called again in the morning and the office says they have to find it now and will call me back. I explained how urgent it was being the day of inspection and all but never got a call back. We had to drive to their office which is an hour from our primary residence the morning of inspection so they couldn't just give me the runaround over the phone. At their office I talked to the owner and he said they can't find the paper and he has to send out someone to redo it. The inspection is in an hour and he said they will try. I told him about the runaround we recieved and what this will do to our sale process. I didn't even receive an apology. I would never recommend them.

Everyone was great -- friendly, helpful, punctual, professional. The new furnace looks and works great, and the city inspector said they did a fine job of installing it. What I most appreciated was that they were here when they said they would be and the price quote was precise -- no unexpected additional charges.

I called them for an emergency because my furnace was out in 10 degree weather. A repairman came out within a couple of hours. He told me he could repair the furnace for I think $430. He told me he could replace my 30 year old furnace for $2000. I took the later. Two installers showed up fairly quickly and installed my new furnace enough to give me temporary heat. They scheduled my next appointment for a few days later. This was for the complete install. Another set of furnace installers completed the job. Everyone was really nice. One installer even took the time to walk me through how my new furnace works. My job still needs to be inspected by the city. However, all the time they spent making sure the job was done correctly, I don't anticipate any problems. I will update this review if necessary.

The guys were amazing. I had quotes performed by 4-5 different companies and A to Z was the most fairly priced. Everyone was very professional from Bart who did the estimate to Greg who did the install. The work done was perfect and they were super clean. I would definatly recommend them to family and friends.
