Had some difficulty connecting initially because the answering machine wasn't working, so I used the e-mail on Angie's list to explain that situation and why I wanted to talk directly to someone. The response was above and beyond what I would expect. Turns out there was some problem with their phone provider and my reporting this in my e-mail was greatly appreciated and let to it being corrected. Though I was told in the e-mail I did not have to be home for the inspection, I explained that some dry wall in the garage had fallen, and I wanted to make sure there was no active leak before repairing the drywall. We had a previous leak repaired. I was told that if I could not be home when the inspector was going to be in my neighborhood, she would arrange a special time since I did need to be home. I thought that was exceptional. Turns out I was able to be home after all. After the inspection, i was told that there is no leak from the roof at this time, and, in fact, the roof is in good condition. He did indicate the Big Deal called for a single story roof, and I have two, but he said he would do it anyway. At first this sounded really good, but I was left wondering if the inspection was quite as thorough as if I didn't have two levels. I am only saying this because another contractor who was out for something else afterwards, did point out a couple of areas that might need caulking or minor repairs. Since I am not a contractor, I cannot say what is correct. I did feel that the inspection was rather quick for the size of our roof. So, since nothing was recommended to do, I can't really appropriately rate the workmanship. I can only say that the willingness of this company to work around my schedule was a positive sign about their relationship with their customers.

Terri did a great job of cleaning the gutters. The weather was not great and the leaves just kept falling. He was very professional. I was very impressed with the pictures of the problems on the roof.

My roof concerns were very urgent and I called them right after purchasing the Big Deal. My pipe collar had completely disintegrated off so I needed a new pipe collar. When I called, he told me that was not part of the Big Deal and he told me to call back to the office. It was clear that what I needed would be more than original $149 because what I was asking for was not a part of the Big Deal. I hired someone else because it is going to rain soon and I needed it fixed as soon as possible. The company I hired is charging me less than $149! The guy at MZK Home Improvement & Roofing was nice enough and they were very responsive, but it surprised me that I would have to call back to see how much more it would be. I don’t want to give them a bad rating because there may be responsibly on both ends. Maybe I didn’t read the Big Deal well enough, but I was disappointed because I needed the service as soon as possible and I ended up with a better deal with another company.

He called to reschedule for an earlier date because he was overbooked for the original date. The reschedule was fine and he showed up on time and seem to understand and know how to correct everything that needed to be done. Also pointed out additional things for me to consider which was helpful. I never received a quote or call back.

I thought he did a great job. He came when he said he would, and it was early and cold out. In fact, the work was a little dangerous to perform and I thought the price was worth it. He was a very nice guy, and I would call him again in the future.

The owner came out to give the estimate, we scheduled a time for them to come out and do the work. I didn't have to take off work, which was great. I came home to brand new gutters. What more can you ask?

I discovered my roof leaking and needed the work done quickly. I contacted three roofing contractors for bids. MZK came out the very next day, inspected my roof and had an estimate prepared before they left. The price turned out to be very competitive so I signed with them. They arrived when they said they would and completed my roof in one day. The owner "Kash" was very professional and that man wore a smile all day. He and his crew are very pleasant to deal with. The work turned out perfectly. All lines straight, precise and my property cleaned spotlessly. I was so pleased that I recommended them to my Aunt and Uncle for a roof repair that they just could not get anyone else to look at. They had the same experience as I did. NO STRESS! These guys are the kind of guys you want to make lunch for, and that says a lot.
