Movers R Us were professional and more than competent. We walked around looking at all the scratches or dings our furniture had accumulated over the years, and they completely shrouded wooden piece in plastic to avoid any further damage. Everything fit in the garage in two hours. A full month or so later, when everything had been done to the floors and let fully dry and cure for two weeks, they came back, and moved everything back for the other two hours. they did not charge more for a second trip, and put everything back where we wanted it. I can recommend them wholeheartedly.

I was completely happy with the service that Movers R Us provided. They were completely professional and went above and beyond. They worked quickly, never taking a break and moved even the heaviest of items with ease. I was impressed with the way they were cautious about the walls, doors and the carpets, even taking care to lay rugs down so they would not track in the salt used to melt the ice on the walk ways. We had a rather large move with 3 stops in all and were done in less time than I thought it would take. I will be using them again and have recommended them to a few other people.

They were excllent. We were moving from out of town and they met with us and moved us right on in there. I am going to use their services two more times to complete our move. They are always there when they say they are going to be there and the price is reasonable. We are happy with their services.

They were awesome! They were a little late, but other than that, everything was great! There were no damages to any the furniture or valuables.They were super accommodating and professional to work with. I would highly recommend them.

They were a little late. I didn't mind , because Mr. Kingsley Ifezue called before 9am. He had to change trucks. Appointment was for 8am-9am. Sunday 2/10/13. That was all had to do that day. The house I moved from , had most of the boxes , and 2 Very heavy file cabinets in the upper flat. They seemed to do this with no problems. The bed , desk , 2 file cabinets , etc. were on the main level. Mr. Ifeze and the gentleman (sorry I forgot his name),were conscientious. Travel time was about 15min. Time was started at 9:30am , ended before 12:30pm. They moved things on all floors of the address I now live at. And moved things around for me as I changed my mind. They were very kind! I made sure they had as much water as they could drink. Our family asked them to stay for a meal before they left. The 3hr cost is : $400.00 ,the tip was $ 40.00.

I got the recommendation from Angie's list, and after shopping around for three different companies I decided on them to move our small-yet-very-full home full of belongings. Via phone, I had the impression that they were experienced, that things would be handled well, and I felt relatively comfortable. If you have specific requests (such as flooring protection) you might request this, as Im not sure it comes automatically--and there was an upcharge. However, they were prepared to handle any requests and the care and protection they give to the furniture left me feeling comfortable and at ease. Some pluses: there are three (not TWO!) people that do the move which makes sense. things move faster; they bring small trucks, but they fit well--watch them! it's like a carefully placed puzzle; everything is wrapped in moving blankets and shrink wrap before leaving your home; they clock out when lunching; they update you on time once you hit (and, in our case, pass) the initial time limit. some tips: be clear in your wants. specify what needs to be moved, and where it needs to go. it helps them. *AND*: whether you use them, or not: take care of your movers! seeing them do their work made me really appreciative. movers relocate a TON of things, and it is YOUR LIFE BELONGINGS. Consider this, and treat them well. I was grateful for how hard they worked and how respectful they were of my things. start to finish was 6 or so hours. I was very pleased.

The actual move was very professional once they arrived. They bubble wrapped the delicate items and were very careful moving all the items. As part of there service they put together the the bed.That was a nice extra as much easier and quicker than doing by myself. My only issue is they forgot to book my apppointment. They ended up coming later in the day which cause me some inconvienece but the job did get done. The lesson I learned is always call the day before for any appointments like this for verification.

It went very well. Movers Are Us arrived on time. They moved things three times to our new home, The first two times was from storage to our new home and the last was from our old home to our new. All three times they moved our things, they quickly and carefully put them on the truck and, when they had arrived at our new house, quickly and carefully placed the items in the buildings and rooms as I asked. I especially appreciated their courtesy, cheerfullness and patience in moving heavy items from one place to another when I changed my mind. We still have more to move. I plan to hire them again.

I previously submitted a positive review for Movers Are Us when they completed my move in November 2012. But a problem surfaced and I need to alert other potential consumers of their service. The day of the move, the head guy,named Kingsley, asked me to inform the other movers what I wanted to moved in each room. When it came to the bedroom, I told one of the worker to take the bed and a dresser/hutch and very clearly told him to not take the free standing cherry wood jewelry box. Then I went into another room to instruct another guy. When I returned to the bedroom, I saw that the jewelry box was gone. I ran to Kingsley and it said that it was one of the first things put into the truck. It was filled with my most precious jewelry, including an expensive cocktail ring and my wedding rings and the drawers had not been secured. I wanted it removed, but they insisted that it was very safely positioned and that nothing would fall out. When I opened the jewelry box I saw that all of my things had been tossed around in the transport. Earrings had flown out of their compartments and behind the drawers. The jewelry box had been scratched and a knob was missing. Worst of all, the cocktail ring was nowhere to be found. I contacted Kingsley and he expressed concern. He contacted his movers. He offered to contact local pawn shops. He promised to repair the jewelry box and return the missing knob that was in his possession. He suggested that the ring probably disappeared when the truck was swept out at night somewhere near Ypsilanti. The ring was thefirst major gift from my husband and a birthday gift for a very significant year. I told him it needed to be replaced. It took me months of looking online and contacting the artist, through HSN before I could find a picture of the ring I lost. When I contacted Kingsley with this information, he said he was not responsible for the ring and was no longer sure if he had the missing knob to the jewelry box. The company did not follow my directions. Damaged and lost important possession and is not willing to do a thing to compensate me. This is not right! Thank you, Russanne Bucci 586-909-2765

We wanted a professional and responsible company to handle our things and definitely found them!!! We actually used them twice. We hired Kingsley and his company to fill storage pods for us with VERY expensive furniture! I was very concerned about damage. The first time they arrived I was a little surprised...I was expecting these huge 7ft tall line backers to arrive......but instead.......it was 2 very average size men (though built well) .... I was worried because one of the items was a 1200 lb solid mahogany marble topped bar......I thought there is no way these 2 guys are going to be able to move this without any casualties. WOW!!! was I wrong! Not only did they swiftly and carefully move everything including the bar into the POD once.....I was soooo thrilled with the service I called them again 4 months later!! When we were ready to move into our new house they moved everything into the new house and this time they got that MONSTER bar into the basement of the new house without a scratch!!!!! I couldn't believe it!!! (it was only on the first floor at the first house). Kingsley and John were more than careful....they padded the door jambs and removed chance of damage occurring to my belongings! I have never seen anything quite like this crew! They do work by the hour and have minimums but they do NOT stand around!!!! they are on the move every second of your valuable time!!! I would HIGHLY recommend MOVERS R US!!!!! They are Quick and Careful!

I hired Movers R Us because we?ve always had good experiences with the professionals that we?ve hired off of Angie?s List. Their 3 hours for $399 rate seemed like a great deal but I guess you do get what you paid for. First, they were almost 30 minutes late to show up. Then the move was very slow because Richard (one of the movers) kept stopping and talking to me about things not relevant to the move. Being a "timed" job, it felt like he was stalling on purpose to get more money out of the job. Almost 2 hours into it they were still taking stuff out. Considering the majority of my things were already moving out and all that remained was the large furniture and some boxes/suitcases/shelving/refridgerator, the process was taking much longer than I was expecting. Becuase it was taking so long, I had to leave to meet up with installers at my new address and left them empting the garage and shed. They showed up almost 90 minutes later and I was told that they had to leave a few things behind because they wouldn?t fit in the truck. Kingsley actually said "I would have called but you already left". Isn't that why you call? Some of my other items had to be taken apart to fit which, if they had called, I would have told them to leave them and I would get them later. For example, they completely disassembled two garage storage cabinets to fit them in the moving truck which they admit took a long time to dissassemble. Then they had to reassemble them at the new residence. The entire move took 6 hours. I got them to give me a bit of a discount because of how long it took but I should have asked for more. When unpacking I found that I was missing a box. When I called to ask where it was I was told that it wouldn?t fit in the truck and was left in the garage. The next afternoon I went back to the old residence and found that the box was actually left behind my house where it could have been stolen or damaged. I also found that the shed was left wide open and the garage was still half full. I?ll need to make more trips to empty it out. Had they brought a large enough truck for a two bedroom house, a lot of this frustration could have been avoided. Luckily, I already transferred many of my belongings over. The best thing I can say is that they didn?t break anything but did damage a wall bringing a furniture into the family room. This is not a company that I would recommend.

They were very professional and available when needed. Upon meeting at the house, they came in, got the job done, and worked at a fast pace. I would HIGHLY reccomend them for any moving, lifting, or anything they do. They are top notch and get the job done!

Overall, the move was great. Kingsley, the owner, was very professional throughout the entire process. Great communication setting up the move, before the move and during the move. The move was fast and efficient, yet they were very careful with the items: glass shelves were taken out and wrapped, the china cabinet was taken apart and wrapped, etc. The original table owner and I were both impressed with how fast they were. Mostly, I was impressed with how much they cared. My rug was off center and Kingsley made sure that everything was set up and centered before they left. It's the little things that make great companies stand out. I will recommend them to friends and family and use them again for future moving needs.

Both the company owner and the movers were very courteous and accommodating throughout the entire process. The movers showed up on time and worked very hard to complete the move quickly & within the estimated time. They were very careful and did not do any damage to the walls, door frames or hardwood floors while moving some very heavy appliances through tight spaces. I've used a couple of different moving companies in the past, but none were as careful or hardworking as Movers Are Us.

On time, kept in contact and completed the move. I can't ask for much more.

I found this mover for my sister Marianne Hurley and these are her words regarding the move. "Best moving experience ever! Kingsley and Josh were prompt, professional, personable and I would recommend them highly. I have had 2 previous moves which did not go well and I was very apprehensive for this move. From the moment they arrived I was at ease and they had everything under control for the next 3 hours. Not a scratch or a mark on anything. I would call them again in a heartbeat."

The experience was really good overall! They were very accommodating to our changing schedule, answered the phone whenever we called, and they were easy to work with. We’re going to hire them again to move us back into our new home.

Horrible from start to finish - see above. UPDATE 04/25/2012: As a rebuttal to the response given by Mover's Are Us again the unmitigated gall of these so called professionals is astounding! I had a three bedroom house that simply needed to be moved down 5 houses but did not have the man power. There were absolutely NO auto parts - don't have a garage and drive a 2010 vehicle and as a single mom can pretty much guarantee that there were no auto parts, grease covered or otherwise any where on the property. There was one 29 gal fish tank with stand that was empty - no salt in or outside of it. EVERYTHING was boxed and clearly labeled so that we would know what it was and where it should go. No garbage bags involved except for items going to good will that were set aside. As to the furniture - except for an antique dresser, EVERY item of furniture has been purchased within the last THREE years. They didn't have to move the couch, the dining set or the Fridge as the current owner bought them from me. The ONLY reason I hired these people is that they were recommended by Angie's List and I had recently purchased a king sized sleigh captains bedroom set which is very heavy and was very expensive and didn't want to take a chance of damaging it. Everything that could go wrong with this move went wrong, I don't understand where these people got their ratings from originally but I would NEVER recommend them and have serious doubts about Angie's list as a whole. As for difficulty getting thru the "trailer park" Art Van, Home Depot, Gardner White, Sears, JC Penney, the US Mail service, UPS, and Fed Ex NEVER have any difficulty delivering to me and drive MUCH LARGER VEHICLES than what showed up at my house the morning of the fiasco of my move. And while I realize that there may have been some difficulty backing a TRAILER up a large 24 foot truck (which should have been used for this move - worked for Ryder and U-Haul) would have not had that difficulty.
