McGuire Electric - Royal Oak

On two separate occasions I have benefited from the electrical work done by the professionals at McGuire Electric. On September 29, 2014 my outdated fuse box was replaced with a new circuit breaker system. The old fuse box located in the basement bathroom was unsafe and illegal and so it was removed. The new circuit breaker system was installed in a safe location and up to code. A faulty wall electrical outlet was also replaced. Matthew, Roger and David worked together very efficiently to complete all of the work. On the morning of November 17, 2014 I needed electrical help again. I telephoned McGuire Electric and explained to Mick, the owner, that I needed to have the wall electrical outlet that they had installed replaced with an outlet for use with a new washer and gas dryer that I had just purchased. He said that it would be taken care of later that day and Jason and David arrived early that afternoon to do the work. Jason advised me that the electric wall outlet and line was a replacement for the faulty original outlet and line and that it had to remain. Jason thought that I had probably used an adapter in the past to use that line and I agreed that he was right. When he suggested that I use another existing wall outlet which would accommodate two plugs I told him that I wanted my washer and dryer on separate wall outlets and electric lines. After a quick phone call to Mick for approval they installed the two wall outlets and two lines that I had requested. When the work was completed I offered my credit card as payment. They refused to take any payment even when I insisted. I had expected to pay for this additional work but they said they couldn't accept it because "the boss just wants the customer to be happy". I was very impressed with the strong work ethics of Jason and David which produced such excellent results. I highly recommend McGuire Electric and I believe their total commitment to customer satisfaction makes them the Best of The Best.

On time, very professional. Explained all of the work very well. Checked basement wiring for other problems. Quoted me a price for future work involving a ceiling fan. Explained problems with dryer wiring, i.e. not up to code.

It went great. Pat arrived promptly on time as promised, and immediately set to work to diagnose the problem. He fixed it, showed me what the problem was, and my lights are now bright again. Their pricing was very fair, so much so that I asked for an estimate for some additional work. They are going to come out and put in a outdoor motion detector flood light near my porch next week.

Everything went well, all of my correspondence on here and via phone was returned promptly. Workers showed up on time and the day after I called, all the work went well and I satisfied. Price was reasonable. No complaints. Would use them again.

It went great. Matt and Mike came on time, the day after we first called. They handled everything professionally, and adapted beautifully to our changing requests. The price was fair; in fact, it seemed like a bargain for all the work they put in. This place is a real find, and I expect to use them again.

I lost power to half of my house. I called DTE because of the recent storms but the main line was fine. I called McGuire Electric and Mick (the owner) sent out Matt to check it out. He arrived within a half hour of calling. It turned out to be a bad main breaker. Matt had one with him and changed it out. The problem was resolved in just under an hour. I couldn't have been happier with the service, professionalism, and price. Will definitely use them in the future.

I told the owner exactly what we were looking for. The owner gave me the pricing over the phone. He sent an electrician out . He told me that if I wanted the job done in the day he had to bring out another guy for an extra charge. We needed to run wires for our dryer and everything was installed correctly. In the end the price was good and I was happy with this. The work was good and they were on time.

Mick was responsive and reasonable. We got several prices and chose him based on the price and good reviews. His crew was there on time and worked all day to be sure the job was completed. And, in fact, his crew leader came back the next day to switch out a breaker for a better one which he hadn't had with him the previous day. Passed inspection with flying colors; the city inspector said he had no hesitation when he saw that it was a McGuire job. Would definitely use them again and recommend.
